wow what is helena's deal?

this woman has managed to infiltrate every part of bettes life..........she drives me insane every time i see her i just want to slap her.

I was so happy when bette proved her worth at the CAC board meeting... she's there because she is good at what she does and not because she has the money to buy into whatever she wants.

I really want to see helena lose all her cash and be working next to jenny in food farms or whatever its called

why isnt tina realising what a locust helena is?

Helena has true hate for Bette. Where is the motive/motivation?

Bette seems not to even know Helena. Yet Helena comes crosscountry to reek havoc in Bette's life. Then Helena has the balls (tennis size at that ) to get with Tina. Talk about a player.

Did I miss something? Where is Helena's motive?

Are you kidding me?! I'm sitting here laughing. You have 2 very type 'A' woman with a control freak twisted added for flavor.

If these two ever even thought about getting together, they should have their heads examined. That would never work.

If you don't believe me, ask yourself who would be on top? I'd pay to see the ensuring fight they would have to see who would submit!

By the way my money would be on Helena - she is ruthless.

Yes, but it's all good. I do wonder if people really see some of the veiled references used in the show.

The sympolism of references to other things i.e. Jennie's cutting of the hair - Samari reference - that's just one of many.

Kafka references abound - real/surreal.

Yeah you are right - its' way serious - too serious.

No Bette would win. No question about it!!!!!!!
Remember Bette is flawed but noble. She's doing everything to make things for Tina more comfortable. To the point of sitting pleasently and smiling when most of us would have spat at Hell's comment about having sex all weekend. When it comes to fighting the noble always should win. Hel would get lost in her pettiness (she's not very good at forgiving social transgressions) and childish rage. Bette would keep her eye focused on the goal and would triump. wow (IMG:style_emoticons/mediablvd/grin.gif) i thought it was funny watching Helena playing with kiddos and calling Bette (IMG:style_emoticons/mediablvd/grin.gif) it was like : gosh i saw what kind of troubles split couples have with children and Bette i want it ...
I really didnt get why they had to do it this way..She obviosly didnt like the relationship between rich Helena and Winnie Nobody , right? If she wanted the best for baby maybe she should try to be with Bette not just invite her as a parent partner.... I dunno...just my opinion.... maybe wrong place...

Helena knows what she is doing. If she is attracted to Bette, it's no secret to her conscious/unconscious. Everything she has done has be caculated. Helena has been way deep into Bette's life - had someone deep into her life.

She's moving toward whatever the goal is that she has set.

i think it has something to do with Helena's mother, because Peggy respects Bette and maybe Helena jealous of Peggy's attention to Bette previously while Helena was probably at some boarding school in England all the time, plus when Helena goes for a kill, she tries to take everything and that's how from not-interested-and-not-investing-in-arts attitude she all of a sudden got to the board of directors of CAC: all to manipulate, humiliate and colonize Bette (and she started with taking Tina)

as far as war between them, Bette will be the ultimate winner, yes, helena plays dirty and she's ruthless, but Bette has heart and it always wins in the end

I think you might have it... I've been trying to figure this out all week.
Is Helena secretly attracted to BP... no. There had to be a reason why she suddenly switched from being an "arts" supporter/ sl*t to the social justice queen.
Where was the connection... Maman! Afterall Peggy threw that special party for Bette in NYC last year. Peggy really bonded with our Bette. Hel's not jealous of T, or of Bette's total command in the BOD.

Hell wants her mommy back to herself!!!!!!!
