Rory (Alexis Bledel) is pleasantly surprised when her old flame Jess (guest star Milo Ventimiglia) appears at her grandparents' house and reveals an amazing development in his life. Rory agrees to go to dinner with Jess, and when Logan (Matt Czuchry) unexpectedly joins them, an ugly confrontation develops, leaving both Rory and Logan to face the choices they have made. Emily (Kelly Bishop) is concerned about Rory's sudden evasiveness and tries to exert some parental discipline. Meanwhile, Luke (Scott Patterson) agrees to sponsor a local girls' soccer team and Lorelai (Lauren Graham) channels all her concerns about Rory into caring for her dog, Paul Anka.

I thought the episode this week rocked! Seriously I can't wait to watch it again. I recorded it on the DVR and my friend is coming over to watch it this week (IMG:style_emoticons/mediablvd/smile.gif)

Some thoughts:

*For once Jess didn't bug me. I like him as a catalyst for Rory getting back to the old Rory. I don't really want to see anything romantic happening with the two of them though.

*Very happy with the Rory/Logan fight. Things needed to come to a head with those two or they were going to explode. This is not to say that I don't want them to work it out, because I love me some R/L. I just didn't like the two of them never communicating about anything.

*Thank god Rory stood up to Emily. Rory found her spine big time in this episode and I loved having her walk out on Emily at the tea. I hate seeing the grandparents try to exert control like that. For gosh sakes what do they expect, she is 21, not 10!

*Lorelai and Luke are as cute as ever. I love watching them be domestic. I was heartbroken for her when Paul Anka was sick though. I actually started to ball like a little baby. Damn you ASP for tugging at my heartstrings!!! Anyway, I loved that whole last scene with them in the room, Luke was supportive and Lauren Graham is such a fantastic actress!
