Hey Michael,

Glad your recovery is going so well. I saw the pics of you on the picket lines during the strike, and you looked great. Looking at you, I never would have guessed that you'd been in such an awful crash so recently. Here's to you! You just keep right on getting better!

Yes, I know I'm in the "questions" thread. So I'll pose one for you.... (I love this question, Katee answered it in an interview a few months back and I asked Aaron this question when I got a chance to talk to him on LiveJournal a few weeks ago, I also sent it to Leah and hope she gets a chance to reply)... What has been your favorite line that you've spoken so far in season 4?

Katee's was "I'm not a cylon, you b!tch!!" (love it)

Aaron's was "Daddy's sorry...." (and another, less PG line that he was afraid would end up on the editing room floor)

I love this question because the answer can be interesting and intriguing without being too spoilery ;-)

Thanks, and keep working on that rehab. We want our favorite toaster back next month when y'all start filming again. Take care.

Hey everyone,

I've actually been meaning to get back in here and re-connect with y'all for quite some time, so I want to thank Reecee and Karie for getting things back on track.
Yeah, Reecee I do remember you. A PWOG faithful! Right on! Glad to have you back, thanks for dropping in. As for the 'simpleworld' thing, unfortunately I think that ship has sailed. Our performing days are indefinitely suspended. I think the next best thing I can offer are some new tracks that we recorded a couple of years ago before we all went our separate ways. I'm planning to put up a couple of MP3's on my website in the next week or so. But I'd still love to take the stage one more time with the boys in the band one of these days.

As for my favorite line of dialogue for my character, there are so many. Especially the little quips and barbs that Kara and Sam trade....mostly after sex. "Glad to be of service" and so forth.
But one line that stands out in particular is in season 3 when Sam encounters a Sharon/Boomer at the rendezvous on New Caprica and she says, "Good to see you again, Sam" and I say, "Funny...I feel like I see you everyday." That is such a loaded line, especially now in light of how things ended in season 3.
Anyhow, thanks for the questions and thank you for all the well wishes. It's good to be back.

Love life...live love.

Hey Michael (can I call you Mr Trucco?),
Saw you on Eli Stone the other night- you looked and did great btw. Was the wheelchair just a coinkidink, or is that your actual wc? Is there a story there? When does BSG begin filming again?

PS I couldnt find if youd answered that last one before, but I ask because, oddly enough, I took the spring semester off from studying CJ and decided to visit Vancouver with a friend and we're taking note when shows start filming again to see if the area 'feels' different with Hollywood North in full swing.

Hey Michael!

I saw that Eli Stone ep too! I actually watched it on the ABC website cos I didn't even know that the show existed lol until I saw something about you in the ep the next morning. You were, as usual brilliant!

I'm assuming that you did the ep before your accident? Have you seen it since? If so, that must have been wierd to say the least. Can you tell us a little about that? It seemed from what was in the ep and what I've read from your account of your accident that there is an incredible parallel there. Talk about 'life imitating art'!

Hope things are continuing to go well for you, take care and we look forward to seeing you on BSG next month!

Love always,

Yeah....eerie, wasn't it? I shot that episode back in August of '07, some 4 months before my accident. In fact, it had slipped my mind entirely that I even did that job until they started showing previews for the series back in December and January and then I remember that I did an episode. THEN, it hit me like a freight train (or a tumbling Ferrari) who my character was and the parallel to my own life! Eerie indeed! The dialogue is strangely similar to my real story. In some ways, I wish I could reshoot those scenes NOW having had this life altering experience, but what's past is past. The wheelchair was just a prop...one that I hope to never have to have for real.

We're slated to go back to work on BSG up in Vancouver in the last week of March, but no firm date has been set yet.

As always, thanks for your questions and, as always.....

Love life...live love.

All I kept thinking as I watched the episode was about the similarities between your accident and your character. It definitely was chill-inducing. Thankfully you seem to be doing quite well (IMG:style_emoticons/mediablvd/smile.gif)

Hello Micheal, I watched Eli Stone on Wednesday this week, you looked great. Listening to your character talk about the accident he had, and knowing what you just recently went through was just crazy. Was it hard to play this character? I just wanted to say I thought you were awesome as always in this episode, and that I cannot wait until BSG season 4 starts later this month. Take care of yourself and continue to shine like you so easily do.

A group of us over on the SciFi Forums (you should have a Private Message about problems with accounts over there (IMG:style_emoticons/mediablvd/smile.gif)) watched the episode and were chatting during the commercials about it, and we all found it incredibly eerie. It made a bunch of us tear up a few times too, but you did a wonderful job playing the character... one of the only parts of the show that was watchable. Thanks Michael! That was a great answer, and I always loved the exchange between Sharon/Sam as well. And I loved that she walked up and hugged him. I was like "huh?" when she did it, and Sam had the same look on his face, it was great.

Leah did respond to my question on her podcast. She's very sweet. Though I spent a good 10 minutes laughing that she mispronounced my name as "Karl". Heh... never got that one before! She said her favorite line is "Don't worry about it, happens to a lot of virgins on their first [inaudible]". Ha!

I'm so glad you guys are going back to work soon, that's so exciting! I'm sure you've all been going a bit stir crazy. I wish you luck and I hope your first day back is wonderful. Take care :-)

Hey, just saw your pics on the new website. One of them has a tattoo on your back, but I couldn't really make it out. What does it mean and do you have others?

Hi Michael! Just wanted to say that I hope everything went well for your first week back on the set of BSG. Did it feel odd to be back there after the long, long strike?

Hey Michael!

I have a question... What, if any, reality type shows are you into and if you could be on one, what would it be?

I'm really looking forward to tonight start of BSGs season 4! I'm sure you'll be as awesome as usual and I hope your recovery continues to go well for you!

Love always,

Dear Michael,
will you go to the FEDCON at Bonn this year or maybe the next? I just read, Jamie Bamber will be there, also Mary McDonnell and Nicki Clyne. You'd make a lot of your german fans very lucky, who wish you'd come there!!!
Best wishes
love

HI Michael,

I just tried to post here but for some reason it hasn't shown up so I'm trying this instead.

Great work on Galactica, the episode where the final four were revealed was mind-blowing. My whole family was jumping around and freaking out, the energy you created was incredible!

How do you like F1 this year. I'm an Alonso fan, he has so much heart, but not sure his car is up to it. Have you been to Wilkinson's Automobilia in Vancouver, near City Hall? It's full of really cool stuff, not much Nascar but loaded with Minichamps, vintage model cars, etc.

Raikkonen seems so cold or robotic, my son always starts laughing during his interviews. He's wickedly talented though. Could Kimi be the Final Cylon????????

So who do you think will take the championship this year?

Heather in Kits

Hey all!

It's been a while since I dropped in and now was a good a time as any to do so. Things have been moving at a hectic pace lately and that's just how I like it. Currently, I am in Vancouver shooting episodes 15 and 16 of BSG. I had the day off today and figured it'd be a good time to catch up on the forum.
I finished shooting the pilot for 'Man of Your Dreams' last Saturday and then was on a plane to Van. on Sunday, to start work Monday for BSG. The pilot was a whirlwind at times. There's a lot of pressure on a project like that, lots of 'cooks in the kitchen', lots of people to please, but ultimately, I think we succeeded in making something we can all be proud of. It's out of our hands now, as they go to editing and post-production, it will be up to the studio and network brass to decide if this is a show that they want to see more of. I'd love it if they gave it a shot, but I won't hold my breath. Such is the nature of this business. You learn not to become too attached to any one project 'cause...you just never know. But there's something inherently exciting about the NOT knowing. I dunno, maybe it's just me.
I will be in New York this weekend for ComiCon NY to do a discussion panel with Grace Park. Otherwise I'd love to be in Germany or anywhere in Europe for things like FEDCON, I've just never been asked.
As for the callsign thing....I THINK it's LongShot. Or is it HardBall? I honestly have forgotten. We shot that episode sooo long ago, and they never really made an official decree to Anders that this was going to be his callsign.
Also, LOVIN' F1 this season. Finally, some parity! I like the Iceman despite his over the top enthusiasm.
And, sorry, but reality shows are Kryptonite. Although I do like American Idol, but that's a talent show more than anything. It's not "pick a number between 1 and 50 for $1 million" and then spend the next 60 minutes ridiculously revealing whether you got lucky. INANE!!!! Or making a Game Show! out of people's extra-marital affairs and subversive sexual tendencies. Anything for money, right? What's next Million Dollar Paper-Scissors-Rock? Ohh the drama!
Sorry, that was my rant....haven't had one in a while.
Always good to hear from you. Talk soon....

Love life...live love.

Michael
