You know, I was curious about a pilot I THOUGHT got picked up created by Tim Minear. It was/is called Miracle Man. It was about a Con man who went about pretending to be a Miracle Man, then God, having a sense of humor starts to let the guy really make miracles but sets it up in such a way he can't take credit for them. It sounded great fun but I've heard nothing about it for a while.
BTW Have you ever read the Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon? I'll have to go hunt to see if you've already interviewed her. I hear the next in the series is due out in Sept.
The only think that I can guess is that that pilot never got picked up, as it's ono no network schedules. Sorry.
No, I do not read Diana Gabaldon. I'm not really much of a romance reader. And, I've never interviewed her.
Thanks for letting me know Miracle Man seems to have fallen thru the cracks (IMG:

Christina, you know I'm not a romance reader either. This is more historical than romance and it's VERY well written. It also does have a slight ......supernatural {for lack of a better word} twist with the time travel aspect. A friend suggested the series and I was looking for something new and was really surprised how much I like it. It also has the plus of being HUGE books, all are 1000 pages or better. For me that is great, it took me better than 2 weeks to read the first 6 books. The audio reader is excellent also.

I'm not sure what makes a book in the romance genre? I assumed it was a bodice ripper or a modern version of that thought. The Outlander would REALLY break most of the rules of that. For one thing, Claire {female lead} is 5 years OLDER than Jamie {male lead} and after the first book they are in their 50's. Claire is anything but subordinate to Jamie, being pretty sufficient even for her own time frame. In WWII she was a field nurse and later becomes a doctor. At one point Claire is reading a "romance" novel and Gabaldon does a hysterical send up of a Bodice Ripper {I'm thinking she doesn't think of her books as Romances} Come to think of it, later, in his own time Jamie, desperate for something to read also reads an early version of a Romance novel. The books are beautifully written with a LOT of historical facts. Not a massive amount of sex for the size of the books. Also the spin off series from Outlander, the Lord John books, Lord John is gay. Can a lead in a Romance series be gay? My local bookstore has them listed as fiction but then again, they suck at placement. I'll generally have to look in 5 places to find any one book.
Beyond this point, there be monsters.
