In honor of Brendan's movie Cutting Edge 4: Fire and Ice.

Brendan has agreed to an interview. This being home base to his fans, I wanted to find out what you all wanted to know, and any questions you think I should be sure to ask him.

Hi Lisa,

To bad i cannot watch the movie here in The Netherlands (yet). Haven`t found out riyjrt when i can.
Do you have any ideas?! Seems like a nice sunday afternoon movie.

Question from me:

How hard was it to learn the ice skating?

We had a show back here were dutch celebs partnerd up with a pro ice skater and then need to skate against each other. Real nice but real hard for them to learn.

Alright,

If the way that you are walking
seems to go no where
and everything is going wrong
then no one ever seems to care

you just want to smile and be happy
but instead, you have to cry
things are never going right for you
no matter HOW hard you try

Suddenly you are on the way to succes
the sun starts to shine, it`s so bright
now you finally made it trough
and then you know, everything will be alright.

(sorry for my bad bad bad english)

There was a similar show in the US called Skating with Celebrities.. I don't think it was on the air long.

Brendan has been playing hockey since he was a child, and has even played in a few celebrity matches over the last few years.

Just long enough to break up skater Lloyd Eisler's marriage. (He's now married to Kristy Swanson, the celebrity he was paired with for the show.)

How about since Brendan does play hockey, what were some things he had to learn differently to play someone who skates with a partner? I'm not asking it right, but from what I understand the types of skates and of course many of the moves are different. How hard was it to retrain himself on skates for the role, if at all?
In what ways was the role more challenging compared to other characters he's played?
Favorite part of playing the character 'James Van Behr' ?

Did you did the lifts and tricks on the ice or was that done by a body double?

What was in like learning to skate like a figure skater? Did you have to take dance lessons?

Which do you prefer? The figure skating outfit or the speedskating outfit?

I wonder how easily Brendan was able to feel comfortable in figure skates.
IMHO there is a huge difference in the skates ... if you forget the picks are there you can fall flat on your face.. I figure skated most of my life and never had hockey skates, but tried on a pair once and found they took a bit of adapting.

Does he still play hockey for his local team? How are they doing and does he still play the same position [center???]

What were his favourite scenes from the movie?

Did anything surprise him about figure skating? Anything new he learned?

How do you get your role offers? Do you go to the Castings? Or does one dispatch the film scripts to you?

Thanks, great interview! (IMG:style_emoticons/mediablvd/grin.gif)

Brendan is too funny (IMG:style_emoticons/mediablvd/lmao.gif) --always enjoyable--he should write a weekly blog or something, he's more fun than a lot of bloggers already out there! Though I have a feeling that between blogging or golfing, golf will win every time! (IMG:style_emoticons/mediablvd/lol.gif)
