I've read the Sabriel books, as well as Shade's Children.
I find both of those worlds to be very grounded, in the sense that with just a few tweaks to the universe as we know it, either one could be possible. I also like the way he manages to write about young characters without seeming to look down on them or the reader.

I really like Garth Nix too. A friend of mine recommended Sabriel and after reading that book, I quickly went out and got the rest of the Abhorsen Trilogy. And it was awesome.

I love how the stories take place in a place somewhat like our world with a twist. It makes it interesting and fun to read.

I really like Garth Nix ..... I'm reading keys to the kingdom....... they're interesting...... not usually my kind of book but i'm enjoying them

reading them for a friend.... he feels lonely that eh has no one to discuss them with

I love his books. lady Friday is my favorite then Abhorsen. What happens in Shade's children?
