I noticed that Hallmark revamped their website for Love Comes Softly in which Katherine stars as Marty Claridge. For those of you who are yet to see it (fans who may be overseas etc) ...check out the links for some info and pics:

Not sure - maybe soon since they have been making changes. They could always steal mine if they like

When TBS Superstation wrote their piece it had some error...so I posted them something with changes..and they used it in their press kit!

It´s too bad that I´m living in Germany so I won´t get the chance to see those films who will come in the american TV...
You never know...they may eventually air. You can buy a lot of Katherines films on video / dvd so maybe all hope is not lost for you.

Love Comes Softly is scheduled for the upcoming week. I'd give you the correct day if I'd caught it, or if it were listed in tvnow, or my ATI weekly update. Strange the last one has nothing for Heigl in a search.
I've done my searches, and found nothing. I think it was on the same channel I'm getting 'Welcome back Kotter, Green Acres, the Monkees, and Partridge family.
Think it's one of those religious channels with out a lot of religion.
in my area code 32922 that's channel 56 WOPX.
If you catch the date and time [I'd guess the weekend], post it here.

Well, I looked on Yahoo TV listing and I didn't see it listed in the next two weeks. I know they aired that movie already on the Hallmark channel about two weeks ago. I believe they will the movie again next month since they made the last installment of the trilogy.
You can also buy this movie on dvd

Well I found why my tv guide doesn't find her in a search. The only names listed in Grey's were Ellen and some guy.
And my guide for some reason doesn't show sundays schedule YET!
But I saw a preview on it, just missed the day and channel. So chekc your listings also. When I see it I'll pass it on.

Even though Katie has the third headline credit in the main credits, for some strange reason the digital guides always put Ellen, Patrick, and Sandra

.
I don't really look for the movie since I have the dvd

. I'm use to it being on the Hallmark Channel lol.

Oh I have this movie on DVD too, I really like it!
Yeah but thats probably because Patrick comes up 'and' so he is suppose to be counted after Ellen in a way, I think so anyway!

It's definitely one of my favorite Katie movies next to Side Effects which has to be my number one favorite due to the great acting and journey of the character.
The digital guides make those on their own. The main credits has Ellen, Katie, and Sandra on the cast list

. Beats me.

Ok my online guide came up with a sunday listing now and not real sure what this is.
12:00 PM (60mins) Sunday, Nov 19 Love Worth Finding TBN CH 52
And there's no such movie title anywhere in the IMDB.
The previews I saw her dressed like Little house on the prairie which would mean it's mistitled in todays guide. And it's the Love Comes Softly movie that's on. Then again everything could be wrong and they'll be showing Ram Highlights form the past 10 years.

Well that was a total waste of time.
It came on at 12 midnight saturday as Love's enduring promise, another pioneer days Kat Heigl movie. And I see how it snuck under my radar in addition to the guide finding no Heigl entries. and not loading up Sundays schedule till thursday, it was midnight 12 am sunday for the movie, and 12 pm sunday for the love worth finding channel thing. Sheesh.

Nov 19 2006, 04:58 PM
Oh...Love's Enduring Promise is the sequel. Not really a fan of that one lol. The first one is much better

. I would recommend buying the dvd at Amazon or Barnes and Noble online. I believe it's under twenty bucks.

Yup or on Ebay you can buy both pretty cheaply as well. Katherine does a great job in both - though she is not in the second nearly as much. In the first the interaction between her and Missy is priceless...and she learned how to milk a cow if I recall

I finally got around to watching Love Comes Softly and Love's Enduring Promise, and I liked them both. Although I agree that Love Comes Softly was much better. They were both quite predictable, but still enjoyable. And I thought Katie was great. LCS had all the elements of her acting that I love, comedy and drama, so I thought it was definitely a good role for her. I also liked the fried chicken scene

I adore LCS

. I wish they followed the book for LEP since it was more Marty-centric

. I loved LEP as a book, but as a movie not so much

.
LCS I could watch over and over again. In fact we watched it again last Friday

. I believe they are also reairing it this weekend on the Hallmark Channel.

Definately one of my favorite movies! I watched half of it last night (I was too tired to watch the other half). But I had seen it a million times so it was okay.
Between the book of LCS and the movie, I much prefered the movie since Marty dealt with a 9 year old instead of a baby. Don't get me wrong, I love the fact that the book had a baby instead and I think that they are both special in their own unique way but when it comes to having to compare them, I think the movie version was better. (hence why I don't like comparing books and movies since they are two different things).
I've read all 8 of the Love Comes Softly series and they are just phenomenal!

I'm just starting to read to the book series now

. Great work, and it's very enjoyable reading

.
I agree as well. I preferred the movie version of LCS than the book version, however; there are some chapters in LCS I wish they were in the movie

. The changing of Missie's age was fine because there was more interaction and bonding between her and Marty. I loved the snow storm in the movie, but the fried chicken chapter was just as funny as the movie

.
Thus far I do prefer the book version of LEP as compared to the movie version

.

I can't really remember much from the LEP book version but after seeing LCS yesterday after a long time, it's made me want to go back and re-read the books again.

I definitely agree

. I wasn't quite sure if I should buy the series, but after reading the first two books I was hooked on them

. Though I have to admit since I'm a Marty and Clark fan I only bought the books they were in

. I just finished
Love's Abiding Joy, and I was so stunned when THEY CUT OFF CLARK'S LEG!!!!

. Overall the book was very very good. Now I'm onto the Legacy book

My Mom has been here with me while I recoup, and the other night she said, "Let's watch 'Love Comes Softly'. I like that little gal that plays 'Marty' on there."

She can't wrap her mind around the fact Katie isn't Marty though

The disk I have only plays on the computer so we were huddled around the monitor

I just found out that Marty isn't in any of them after LCS and LEP. Since I originally watched those two because of Katie, I'm thinking I'm not going to bother watching anymore, but you all seem to like them so much, maybe I will.

To be frank with the movies I semi-stopped watching them after LEP

. The movies became more Missie-centric whereas in the books Marty is a very central figure

. I'm a huge fan of the book series, and I wished they would have followed the series far more closely

. I know they have already re-casted Marty in a recent movie.
ETA: For the books I loved reading Love Comes Softly, Love's Enduring Promise, and Love's Unending Legacy. I really wished the movies followed the books far more closely because they totally re-wrote Willie's character, and changed a lot in LEP

Ever watched the show Supernatural? Well, the Winchester's boys mom, Mary, is the new Marty

. Her name is Samantha Smith. Even though I actually like this actress I'm kinda stubborn because I still only see Katie's portrayol of Marty in my mind. She's hard to beat in comparison

. Since Katie just brought Marty's character to life so beautifully with her own touch

.
