There are lots of good books with great ending so that is hard, I would have to think really hard about it. So many great works of literature.

I like endings that leave you puzzled or thinking seriously about something you've never really considered.

I loved the ending of Pride & Prejudice, how everyone ended up together all neatly

I like the ending in Steinbecks "Of Mice and Men"
I've read it again and again, and I still lie awake at night wondering about it.
Was it really the right thing to do?!?!?

I hate predictable endings, so anything unexpected is good. As long as it doesn't just stop abrupty, it actually has an ending that leaves you satisfied.

How about the ending to Atonement? It's brilliant. I had to read the last few pages several times to "get it" and then I had to re-think the book as a whole. It's an amazing book.

My favorite ending is Old Yeller with a shotgun blast going booyah.
