In some further news...SBS are rumoured to be making an announcement about THE L WORD when the next season of QAF premieres on Jan 26 2004...

I just joined this site after hearing about this new show on the MB of my fav tv program (Bad Girls). I'm from Perth, r there ne other westies around?

Do u guys have ne idea of wen The L Word will b starting on tv here? I'm glad it'll b on SBS, they do a good job with showing programs, keeping them going and stuff, unlike most the other channels, although i doubt ne of the other channels would even show it, and if they did it would b on at some rediculous time in the morning.

i'm not an aussie per se, but i live in brisbane...am i the only one up here? i'm probably leaving oz in august, so i hope sbs will show it before then. otherwise i suppose i'll wait for the dvd's, although i hate waiting!!

I am so happily excited about new work from KM and the L word. I have never made posts. So, am hoping this works and my internet doesn't suddenly hang up. more of a lurker.
Somebody mentioned before the L Word will be shown on SBS. My video is always funny with SBS. At times it likes the channel. Most of the time I get nada. But if I just put it on regular tv it is good. I wondered if anybody knows how to synchronize SBS with video. or anything to help so i can record. any suggestions.

well, i don't know for sure, but if your vcr is hooked up to your tv through the aerial plug, then you should be able to just fine tune the channel setting on your video using your remote. how to do that varies with every vcr model, so i couldn't tell you exactly how to. hope that helps

hey QAF Season 3 debuts tomorrow night at 10pm on SBS (Australia) - are we expecting an announcement about the L word?

I would think so ~ they might even announce it more than once during the commercials, or at the end credits.

No, there was no such announcement in the QAF special either.

So, If it's not going to be on SBS it will be butchered (all good bits cut out and on at midnight with 'call now' commercials) on some commercial tv station, on pay or just another reason why Australian television sux.

If it is not SBS, I hope that the other commercial TV will not censor too much....but I am praying hard that it will not be Channel 9.......coz the way the handle a show is disgusting

I'm new to this too! I'm from Sydney and I've been watching the show just by downloading each episodes off mIRC. The show is FANTASTIC! and I can't wait to watch it again when, and if they air it on aussie TV -hopefully sometime soon???? I hope SBS won the bid? But I've been reading the posts and was it channel 10 that has the rights? Scarletfaeiry please update us.

If you can't d/l the episodes (due to internet d/l restrictions) the next best thing is a transcript of each episode. There's this person Steph who has this site, where she posts transcripts of each episodes. http://earth.prohosting.com/taurodea/lword/

So its gonna be on channel 10 right? Well thats not as good as it being on SBS, but at least its not on channel 7, coz they're the worst at stuffing around with programs. Does anyone have any idea of when it will be starting?

so channel 10 huh, i was hoping for sbs cos they woudltn cut anything and would show it without ads. although ch10 might do a fair bit of publicity for it which woul dmake it popular. meh, who cares just as long as its shown here!
