Î was thinking about the meaning of some episodes' names, so I decided to make a list and anyone feel free to complete or correct it grin.gif , so here goes (se=self explanatory):

S1

Pilot: se
Heat: Max goes into heat (for the first time)
Flushed: Max's pills get flushed down the toilet by OC & Kendra
C.R.E.A.M: Cash Rules Everyting Around Me (Sketchy's money probs & that girl selling out her father for cash)
411 On The DL: I have no idea but I'm wondering whether DL means Down Low?? confused.gif
Prodigy: No idea
Cold Comfort: Brin's alive but held captive
Blah Blah Woof Woof: A line from the ep, everything is mixed up here
Out: again, I have no idea
Red: First encounter with the red series
Art Attack: a bit lost on this one
Rising: I dunno
The Kidz Are Aiight: The other Manticore kids are doing ok
Female Trouble: Is it cos of the women in this one?
Haven: Cape Haven is the name of the small town where Max & Logan head off to, it might have some deeper meaning
Shorties In Love: se
Pollo Loco: Crazy chicken in Spanish (aren't they mean to Ben?)
I And I Am A Camera: Phil has a camera on his face and the Hoverdrones use their cameras to identify their victims
Hit A Sista Back: Max helping Tinga
Meow: Max is in heat again
...And Jesus Brought A Casserole: Now THis is a puzzle!

I can't be stuffed doing S2 now, so let's finish S1 first! grin.gif

Would like to know what the meaning of...

Hello, Goodbye is... something to do with Max/logan?
daja4ever
441 on the DL : this is when Max gets the 411 on the DL. ok DL means Down Low so it means she got the info about her family. (manticore kids) Zack was in it too.

Out: Because Max is Out. She doesn't want anything to do with "Eyes Only" which lands Logan into some trouble with some gangsters.

Art Attack: because a Rockwell painting is involed in this epi and Max has to get it so the gangsters dont kill Normal

Rising: i think it has to do with Max's rising power since she had to put the implant in her head to fight the reds and save Original Cindy.

Female Trouble: Cuz of the trouble Lydecker had with the women running and getting pregnant unauthorized. And cuz of Logan's suicide attempt blah blah blah. lol

Haven: Yes it is the name of the place they go to but it is also the safe haven for sage (the kid) kinda... because nobody else knows about his past. 'Cept of course DC.

And Jesus Brought A Casserole: Jesus brought the last supper so it coordinates with this being the last episode of the season. get it??

now on to S2 lol
ssserpent
Thanks daja, i'll post S2 tomorrow! grin.gif

Just why is it 411?
2161
Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding - and the prize goes to........what's the prize?? tongue.gif

The meaning of the word prodigy in the dictionary is: a marvel, wonder; surprise. Example in dictionary: A child prodigy is a child remarkably brilliant in some respect.

The episode Prodigy deals with the kid in the episode. He's bright and is a marvel to everyone that he is alive cause the doctors saved him. The child/kid is special and is the Prodigy wink.gif

Close wink.gif ....I believe it's Rising cause Logan begins to regain the use of his legs and rises to his feet and begins to walk again (for a short time anyways). The episode was all about Logan regaining his legs back cause of Max's transfusion....

Wasn't Female Trouble cause of Jace having the baby and being in trouble with Lydecker? Hince...Female Trouble..She's a female and in trouble LOL
Sar
i have no idea why they say 411 but its america slang for being in the know, or having the inside scoop or something.

season two:
Designate this: Max sticking it to manticore
Bag 'em: the hunt it on for the manticore escapee's
Proof of Pruchase: White telling Alec to bring in the barcodes as pop.

someone else can pick it up from here grin.gif
Jesus Freak
In America, you dial on the telephone 411 for information. You can get any number listed by giving the name and city.

Hello-Goodbye: Talking about how Joshua met Annie at the beginning of the episode, then had to say good-bye at the end of the episode.
X5494z_Boo
Radar Love: Not exactly sure . . . Radar could relate to the tracking device on the transgenic male they tried to kill . . . and love is related to the whole deal whith Rafer & Max & Logan & Asha . . .

Boo: SE -- halloween

Two: Joshua and Isaac . . .

Some Assembly Required: Related to the fact that Zack is now basically a machine . . . he's not exactly functioning properly (memory and such) and I guess they're making a pun . . .

Gill Girl: SE

Medium is the Message: Its a line in the epi . . . Rita hands the mag to Alec and a review of Joshua #1 reads "Medium truely is the message" and I also thought it had something to do with the virus papers being put on Joshua's painting . . . coz in the next epi or so Max see's a 'squiggle' and gets an idea on a cure.

Brainiac: SE Coz Brain knows 'everything'

The Berrisford Agenda: SE

Borrowed Time: A line from the epi (Alec to Asha) and the 'cure' only lasts for a short time.

Harbour Lights: SE Harbour Lights Hospital

Love in Vein: SE Vein/Vain -- play on words . . . vein obviously refering to the blood . . . and those people worshiped/loved that guy even though he was using them . . . blah blah

Fuhgeddaboudit: SE Line from Logan, and referal to Mia's powers to make people forget.

Exposure: Is it because Max was exposed to the snake blood?? Also, Sketchy sees a mutant in the street and rumours begin to fly . . .

Hello, Goodbye: Some said this before right?? Also, after reading a transcript of the commentary I understand of one the writers wanted to name an epi after a Beatles song . . .

Dawg Day Afternoon: SE I think . . .

She Aint Heavy: Now this is a tricky one . . . I think it refers to "He aint heavy (He's my brother)" A song from the 70's (I think) I've asked my parents what the title of the song means (considering it was made before I was born!) But they have no clue . . . which means neither do I . . . She aint heavy, she's my sister . . . confused.gif

Love Among the Runes: SE isnt it?? Runes appear on Max's skin . . . she makes a comment about being Logan's "biohazard girlfriend" . . .

Freak Nation: SE
ssserpent
(I'm just adding to what Boo said)

Radar Love: I think it might mean long distance, but with a connection...

Some Assembly Required: Zack needs some of his memory back

Harbor Lights: It might also have something to do with finding your way, cos harbor lights help ships get to the dock, right?

Exposure: The cult is finally exposed, Max sees what actually happens

Hello, Goodbye: Max says Goodbye to Logan and Hello to Alec (cos she finally accepted him), Alec says Hello to Joshua cos he's moving in Joshua says Hello to Annie

Dawg Day Afternoon: It's been a really bad day

She Ain't Heavy: I can only guess what this means; maybe that Sam is cool anyway? confused.gif

That's kinda along the line of what I was thinking . . . like even though Sam and Max have a fight (because they're kinda on opposing sides) in the end Max is like "Nah, she's alright, she's my sister/clone" that's what I was thinking . . .
ssserpent
Well, what else could it be?
X5494z_Boo

ssserpent

Just a comment on the 411 on the DL, yes 411 is the info number, but the DL part is where I get confused. There are many different interpreted meanings of Down Low and the one I always thought of was a group of men who are neither bisexual or gay, but who have slept and continue to sleep with men, while having wives and girlfriends.

I always thought it was this because I thought this was the episode with Louise/Louis Klein, but it wasnt.

411 on the down low

that means, hello brother... least that's what someone told me...

Max does find Zack in this ep, so...?
Tiggi1457
Does 411 really mean Hello Brother? I also knew of the 'keep something a secret' keep it on the Dl thing but not hello brother.. you learn something new everyday!

At the beggining of this thread peeps mentioned Radar Love was called so coz of tracking devices but I could swear on my buddy Noodle, that Radar Love was a song way back when. I heard it but didn't like it so therefore i forgot it. Life is good. cool.gif [Like this thread... helps me think. Forgotten how to use connectives. Oh no.] tongue.gif
Guevarra~
This thread is cool, I never really thought about talking about it. Most of the titles seem pretty self explanitory to me. Everyone keeps talking about "411 on the DL" which totally makes sense to me. Downlow means like quiet, like a secret. My friends and I always say "Keep it on the DL" when something is a somewhat secret. And 411 of coarse is the US national number for getting information about anything.

"She Ain't Heavy" is totally off a song called "He Ain't Heavy", Hasn't anyone heard that? its like.."He ain't heavy..ooh ooh, he's my brother" no....no one?...just me?..
Storm
I probably heard it but again didn't like it and forgot it. Life is good cool.gif
Guevarra~
Yeah, its not a very good song.
X5494z_Boo
I've heard that song. . . I just dont understand what it means lol.gif
Storm
Forget it... Life will be good. grin.gif

411 On The DL: information on the down low
Prodigy: the boy is a prodigy
Art Attack: the whole thing was about the rockwell....
Rising: maybe she is 'rising' because she finally tells O.C. about who she is?
Female Trouble: Is it cos of the women in this one? (yes, at least I think so)
Haven: it is also the name of the town one of the producers is from (new haven I think)
...And Jesus Brought A Casserole: Now THis is a puzzle! (I agrre)

"She Ain't Heavy" is a reference to the song "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/He_Ain%27t_He...%27s_My_Brother

The inspiration for the song originally comes from the image of a young boy carrying a smaller one on his back, with the aforementioned title as the quote.

So, because this episode deals with Max's twin sister, it's an appropriate allusion.
