So, what did you think of the movie?

Very interesting. Loved it. I am a movieholic and an Ianholic. He was great. This was the first time I saw him and just swooned over those incredibly blue eyes, that mouth, that body, etc, etc, etc.....

I'm glad you saw it, then! 'Cause life is lot more interesting with Ian...

I gotta say, without Ian, the movie wouldn't be very good...

It was interesting, but at some points very slow...

Without Ian, I probably would never have watched it. Or heard of it, for that matter since it wasn't in theaters around here.

Slow? Seriously? I find that I can watch it repeatedly and the only part that I don't enjoy over and over again is the one with Lauren and the prof. in his office...but that's probably because it come right before Sean and Paul make out. But I like the scenes Ian isn't it, too. Every scene is just cool and unique, and the movie would still be excellent without Ian.

Granted, I wouldn't have known about it as long or been as excited to see it without Ian, but it met and surpassed my expectation--and I give Roger Avary mad props for making such an awesome film.

Estee- i totally agree with you, I've seen it a whole bunch of times already, and I just completely enjoy it from start to finish. I can watch it over and over! I know there were complaints that the characters were unlikeable, and okay, i guess they weren't exactly bright and shiny, but I was completely fascinated by them, and I could certainly relate to things about them (i think they were like all of our dark sides... taken to the extreme). I had this sick crush on Sean (i feared that if i went to camden, i would be one of his victims. ), and of course, Paul is just such an unbelievably beautiful creature.

I actually went to one of the big screenings in LA at the Egyptian Theater with a lot of the cast... my friend and I were sitting pretty close to the front, and I saw Roger Avary when we were coming in... We watched the movie and both loved it, and when the lights turned on, much to my surprise a huge chunk of the cast stood up (Ian, Kip, Kate Bosworth, Clare Kramer, Joel Michaely, Russell Sams- who i almost didn't recognize without his sunglasses on, Jay Baruchel, and Roger), and they had been sitting literally across the aisle from us... Kip and Ian had been about eight feet away from me and my friend, I was in shock.

It's probably a good thing that I didn't notice how close we were, cuz I might've been staring at them throughout the whole movie or something otherwise. I should've known though, since I did notice that there was this huge group that kept poking each other and laughing hysterically the whole time... My friend kept threatening to scream "Wheeere's Vaaan Der Beeeek?! I came here to see Vaaan Der Beeek! Van Der Beek, this girl is in love with you!" much to my utter mortification. Thank goodness I was able to beat him into submission so he couldn't say a word.

I don' tknow about the rest of you, but I LOVED this scene. My friend had to pick up my jaw from the floor. Two utterly gorgeous guys... what more could you want?




In the DVD commentary, Ian keeps talking about how he wanted to steal this shirt....

Everybody knows I love this movie that knows me. I love both the movie and book, but Paul is my fav character. I have to agree the movie would have been a little boring without Paul the character in there.

personally, i actually really liked all the characters... Paul cracked me up and made me melt, Lauren was just so vulnerable and beautiful that my heart was aching for her, Victor, Mitch and DICK are just a freakin riot, and i didn't even know Cafeteria Girl at all, but she blew me away and made me cry (i thought that it was even hard to breathe during that scene), but Sean's my boy. So cool and calm and charismatic, but with that huge @sshole streak... not to mention that he was like, borderline insane. Loved him. "I had to wash pigs all summer." "Hmmm... I'm hungry."

I know what you mean. He is on this totally different subject...then out of the blue he goes "Hmmm, I'm hungry"

Favorite Paul scene is the Faith dance. It cracks me up everytime. Dick has to be my second favorite character in the movie. "Its DICK!"

Not slow slow, but there were some scenes that made no sence to me... therefore slow. Besides, I was just anxious to see Sean and Paul make out so I didn't want to see anything else.

We had BEE, JVDB, Ian, Shannen, Joel, Greg Shapiro and a bunch of other stars in attendence. Sadly, no Q & A, but I got my hugs from Ian, so I was happy.

Add me to the bandwagon that thought Dick was great. I knew so much about Ian's character and the movie in general going into it that there wasn't much chance for surprises, but Dick was a great surprise. He totally stole the movie away from everyone. Russell Sams just took this little part and blew it to pieces.

The version of the movie that I saw was very dark, so that scene is just, well, darkness.

The pic of Kip Pardue Jr. is also very dark.

i loved that there were parts of it that just seemed to make no sense, cuz I guess that was the feeling they were going for anyway.

The one thing I don't understand was why Paul was interested in Dick. He must be a good guy when he is sober, because when he is drunk, he is a total lush. Makes me wonder if Paul slept with Dick in the movie like he did in the book
