Hey guys! I found out some news that some states will get to take advantage of some tax-free shopping, just in time for back to school! Tax exemption amounts vary by state, so it could be between $50-$100.

Clothing, footwear, and school supplies will be tax-exempt (some restrictions apply):

Florida: July 24th - August 1st

Texas: August 6th - 8th

Georgia: July 29th - August 1st

New York: August 25th (only in Montgomery County and Johnstown)

Those are all I could find right now. If you find any other state tax-free info., just post here. Thanks! smile.gif

When you posted this, I thought of duty free shopping, since I've travelled quite a bit. But Tax free would be good too. Unless you are lucky and live in a state that doesn't charge sales tax! grin.gif

Tax Free/Duty Free shopping is cool too! That's why I particularly love going on cruises. There's so much shopping to do on board.
