Hey All!

Been doing a little digging trying to find out when some films were coming out on DVD and I stumbled across Long Weekend! Oh I'm so happy!
It's estimated released in June 2005 if you want to know, I could bring the details over but it's just whose in it (we all know ) the synopsis and which studio made it. If you really want the link I'll bring it over for you, but I thought you'd like to know. I haven't seen a release date for it yet?

Vin, I've seen some reports say August or May for this. On IMDB they have a netherlands release as 10/13/05 so it gets after a while.

Thanks for the cool f/b you left. I just like to point out that the release date is estimated. I made sure to mention it in the first post and I believe it is for America only which is for the rest of us. I went back and found the link for it.

It probably won't be just only for America, the trend is.. nationwide, but some times the countries are sometimes weeks and or months apart with release dates. Just thought I'd add an FYI in there

I've seen that link before, and what's really odd is my aunt works for a movie theater group professionally so she sometimes views things/films early, and she told me that something is definately is on it's way (as she's supposedly seen a teaser hold over trailer) but she is keeping me posted every week when she calls and I tell her what I know as well.

I have seen script lines for the film though, I can say I don't think anyone will be disappointed with the film and it's great for laughs

I actually got asked out by a 19 year old today! I had to go to defensive driving school I know bad me! Anyway, this 19 year old asks me out...I'm like how old are you and he tells me and I am like, how old do you think I am and he says I don't know, 23...? And I think I might have instantly fell in love. No just kidding. I was flattered though.

I think he was embarrassed because he knew there was no way I would go out with him...but at least he had the courage to ask me! Most guys don't even approach me!!! So that was a nice switch.

Hey, I never yelled at any one. Besides, I don't yell at anyone on a thread in public. If any yelling is going to be done it will be done by PM. I simply moved a very OT post to a more appropriate thead.

We've requested numerous times that the threads be kept topic specific and have explained the reasons for this. If ppl continue to disregard this simple request, well ... (perhaps Vin will donate a whip )

We have a number of \"Chat\" threads where the post in question would have been appropriate, but we also have topic specific threads. This is one of them. It is a pain in the neck to have to wade through chat messages on a topic specific thread to locate actual news etc on a specific topic.



What change? Nothing has changed on this board. and I didn't change a word in your post. Just moved it to a different board. We have always requested that posts be topic specific. You and I have discussed this issue previously.

As for continuing to post here, of course, just please keep you posts on topic. I know you enjoy posting long posts, but perhaps instead of one or two very long posts on a thread, try posting several shorter ones. This will allow you to post on various thread during a visit and keep your posts topic specific. HMQ - it was never my intent to hurt your feelings or make you feel unwelcome.

My intent was to keep the thread on topic and easy to read for others. In my edit there was a link to your post so you and others could find your post. Obviously, it was an interesting post, a welcome post, only on the wrong thread.

Sadly not for this dragon. My road trips are on hold for a while.

However, it will come to So. California of that I'm sure and "DD" and I will scoot down to the local theater on the day.

I;M THINKIN SEPTEMBER ...

All I know is the one date we do have for the Neatherlands has changed (again) to September 29th I'm thinking middle of September or longer or maybe they'll pull a smart one and do a same day release everywhere But that's doubtful

Hi! I was a spanish major in college so here is my rough translation of what the article was trying to say. I just did the synopsis because i started to get a headache, my spanish is a little rusty. I'll do the other part tomorrow... Fluent spanish speakers... tell me if i'm wrong on anything!! Just thought I'd give it a shot, the movie seems interesting though! Way to go For Brendan, hope success keeps comming his way!

Synopsis:

This is the history of two brothers. The first is Ed Waxman (Brendan Fehr). Ed grew up recording everything on video. Later he falls in love with Cathy and begins a brilliant career in the world of publicity.

Never the less, his talent was dispelled when Cathy left him. One Friday his boss gave him an ultimatum: The only way to save the power over your work is to appear at the office Monday afternoon with a world success campaign proposal. The second brother, Cooper (Chris Klein) is a mediocre actor that has reached the financial success announcing Japanese whiskey. It is Ed’s birthday and the Cooper’s gift for Ed this weekend is to fix Ed’s life by getting him to go to bed with someone.

Ed seems reluctant at first but Cooper insists that this “gift” will help him return to work in a more creative mental state. Cooper tests the traditional method by matching his brother with a friend of a friend, taking him to a bar, and to the laundry mat.

Ed also uses other methods that aren’t traditional such as taking him to a striptease, horseback riding, and even one funeral.

They pass a night in jail with a maniac and Ed had had enough and leaves.

While hours pass, Cooper, preoccupied, makes an unexpected decision and Ed discovers that the inspiration he needed was always right in front of him.

According to one site I saw, the link which is on the first page of this topic, it is scheduled to be released in October. Yeah, I know, still a ways, but something to look forward to! Plus, it's around his birthday maybe...

Unless I hear differently from the Fehrian reports here on the forum, I will be avoiding this movie like the Plague, it is so not my type of movie Not even Brendan is enough to get me to spend 8 of my favorite dollars on it, though I hope it does well for him. This is just my opinion, everyone has their own likes and dislikes for what they want in movies, and it just happens this kind of movie is in my 'dislike' column.

I'll wait to see Childstar. *sigh*

oh clarity i'm so sorry to hear that, it does look rather raunchy but i'm looking forward to seeing it. the trailer was hot and funny eventhough it was in spanish mabey i'm just a raunchy kinda of girl however i don't like really depressing kinda of movies so i know for each her own, sugar was kinda dark for me and the whole drug thing was kinda of a drag, but the fehr one was in it so i gave it a go. well really looking forward to it. hope i'm not off topic to much

Oh, it's not the raunchiness that bothers me, (I rather like raunchiness it's that type of humor--I think it's stupid, not funny (again, just my opinion--humor is different for everyone) and I don't see any movies like this, never went to Something About Mary, Dumb & Dumber, etc. I don't like most sitcoms on TV either (Not everybody loves Raymond and Seinfeld annoyed me to no end

Oh well--like I said, if there's enough Fehrians who like it, I *might* rent it someday. And if people like Brendan's performance and he gets more work from its success, that's all to the good.

Like WTF!!!!!( Gosh this really is tiring me out all the s** I can't open, & My brother did tell me this computer is only 4 years old!
