Just wondering if there is anyone from Canada here?
Slap me twice and call me Jaques but I haven't actually seen any Canadians in here. Which is good and bad. I means that Mr. Fehr has quite the following and it means that he should have more acutal Canuck followers as well don't you think?
Anyway, if there are any Canucks in here, give a holla and say wuz up!
P.S. I was reading some of Mr. Fehr's posts and I think that he's a riot. He friggin' doesn't bullsh*t anything and he types like he speaks, at least I think he types like he speaks, I haven't actually had a conversation with him, that I remember, we kinda just sleep together... no talking really...
JUST KIDDING!!! For all of you who will bombard my e-mail, THAT WAS A JOKE!! HUMOUR PEOPLE...
Anyway, as a Canadian filmmaker (which means unfortunately, I'm probably going no where...) I support all Canadians in the film industry. Way to go Mr. Fehr, although my puny little civillian "way to go"is a little late coming.
Now, like the rest of the NHL season, I'm done.
See you on the flip side,
Deanna

Do we not have a Canandian Embasy thread?

I went back 3 pages and didn't see one. {course I've only had one cup of espresso this morning so far so don't hold me accountable}
Yes, we do have some Canadians. Heavy Medal Queen {HMQ} and MsGeorgeEads come to mind? Forgive any others I might not have mentioned {remember coffee deprived}

I am not Canadian, but from what I can tell, there are many Canadians in here. I could be wrong though, eh??? Also noticed many Christians as well which is refreshing

I've only been to Canada once when I was a kid...Canadian side of the Niagra Falls...wooo hooo the excitement is just too much to handle, I know! But I do remember how friendly everyone was when we drove through some rural/residential areas of Canada. All the people that were working outside in the yard or on their houses would wave to us! It was awesome!! I had a freind graduate from Miguel in Quebec. I would love to visit Toronto some time in my life...but other than that...I am here in the desert of the Southwest!
Not that ANYONE even cares about any of this

Hey
I'm not Canadian but I guess I'm a closet wannabe?

I love Canada. It's just such a great country and I'd love to live there when I'm older. As for film making, I'd like to think I'm a bit of a writer and because my imagination is so strong I could picture it like I was watching it. Directing inspires me coz I love all the ways you could make something look good, I love really good cinematography and am very critical when it comes to film. Hopefully once I've finally (being the key word there) finally landed a publishing deal I could have my book turned into a film but that's a little bit wishful thinking really

After recently returning from a trip to Canada I would like to say that I am definatly a Canadian wannabe...I even tried to talk me trip mates into turning around until we hit upstate new york...by then it was all over :'( Trying to talk others into a return trip though too much to see not enough time, Alli you should go see the Falls now, you're perception of them might have changed or not..but they are pretty cool as is Canada

Michelle~ I'm trying to get my family to do a Peg trip this summer. We have to find an english speaking country that's not hot and won't kill americans. Harder than it used to be. In the running currently, back to the UK, Canada and New Zeland

You can always come to Finland

We don't kill americans and most of us speak English. The weather at the moment isn't hot at all (read:-12C~10F) and we have lots of snow. I can also be your tour guide

What about Ireland? Or the cornish coast?

Hey, newbie to the board, Canadian screenwriter living and writing full-time in L.A. Any Canadian filmmakers-in-Hollywood support/networking groups out there? Every ethnic/national group seems to support its own except for dour old friggin' Canucks! Are we too cold to be warm to each other? My best friend is Israeli and I have to admit I'm considering converting to Judaism just to take advantage of the networking! Either that or join AA. It's the acronym for Latter Day Saint's which is a form of Christianity in which it's NOT like LSD which is a form of drug
but I can see where those two could be confused due to the fact that they both have something to do with halucinations

I have always been fond of Laguna and Newport. Especially the Emerald Bay portion of Laguna. All the tiny shops and cute beach houses. There is also that cove right there where you can find shells and crabs. It's fun for my son who rarely can see those things up close.
Huntington was like my high school hangout spot and there are little police officers on 4-wheelers driving on the beach who are

NOT fun
Santa Barbara and Malibu are wonderful, I am surprised you would pick Huntington over those spots. Other than that I love San Diego and those beaches especially Coronado Island, where the sand turns black in the sun. I onced hoped my boyfriend and I would marry on that beach

that was until I realized I couldn't be married to him
I love Colorado as well... I like the Grand Mesa/Grand Junction area. I am considering moving there in a year and half and raise my son there. I have family in Denver and the Springs so it would be better for us rather than staying here where there is no family...

Means I don't have a specific religion, and that one doesn't accept nor deny the existence of god. There is no prove to say there is or is not. Kind of a controversal thing, I'd rather not get into.
Yes, I realize MTV is lame, lol. They had a MTV Canada going up here for a year or two, but they just recently cut it off the air because they realized its ratings were just crap, as were the shows they aired. I've just seen a lot of media hype about some show called Laguna Beach recently, and then there's the hype of The OC, etc.
California sure is well known for its beaches!
And a beach where the sand turns black with sun? Oh my gosh, that is the coolest thing ever! So weird, too. I've heard of volcanic beaches with black sand/ash/volcanic rock, but sand that changes colour is just awesome.
Are all these beaches down in the southern parts of Cali, like LA area, or are some of them up further North?
