Hey, I was just on the IMBD website and it said that Ian did a movie called "In Enemy Hands"--it looks like "U-Boat" has been renamed.

I'll just go ahead and state the obvious: I'd love it if Ian were in a movie called "In Vertigo's Hands"

But first you have to pry him out of mine...

That would be great! Or if Ian played the main character of a re-make of the Hitchcock movie "Vertigo". All confused and cute.

Ian apparently attended the Riaka D show in NY (part of Fashion Week) with Rick and Kathy Hilton where Nicky was one of the models. Pictures start here, but it seems as though the fashion types were less than impressed with the show.

When the paparazzi goes crazy for "rich girl,” Jaime Gleicher, and the star model is Nicky Hilton, you get what you asked for...flash and trash. The clothes that this design duo sent out on the runway were not exactly worthy of the trendy following that the audience represented... Don't they all ready have a rhinestone logo baby tee from a few seasons ago? Bedazzled jeans with studs? Really. Furthermore, the ill-fitting ruched silk pants, heavy tapestry jackets, and disproportionate hemlines didn't exactly work for me. The designers would have been better off pairing down ideas, and not overloading each look with every idea under the sun. This is not to say, however, that the presentation was without its moments. Rika D’s Fall 2004 collection worked when the silhouettes were clean and unembellished...The simple black jumpsuit with a sexy criss-cross back, drop double waisted pinstripe trousers, and sexy, flirty paisley prints were all stood out. Nevertheless, let’s hope the two leave the bedazzler behind next season and concentrate more on quality than quantity."

I was wondering who would be the first to notice! Yes, it's the same shirt he wore to the Blue Crush premiere....and what a yummy shirt it is, too. Nice and snug.

Seemed kinda rude to me actually. In most of the pics Nicky's Mom has her back to Ian. I cropped most of the pics down, but there were a whole bunch where she is talking to the guy sitting next to Rick Hilton, but only a few where she is even facing Ian. Silly woman!

yep the mother was sitting with her back to him most of the time. If you look at the wider shots, check the body language, both had legs crossed away from each other. That's a distance attempt anyway.
I felt as though he was just there, and mostly bored, I felt a bit bad for him in that situation too.

Body language in photos can be very telling. I have one where my Mom thought she was smiling but is more baring her teeth like a lion!

Maybe they think their Nickypoo could do better than a lowly ac-tor. (Or is that lovely actor?) Oh well...

Poor Ian! Glad I don't have to deal with the dating scene in 2004, never mind having to conduct my life under the scrutiny of fans, tabloids, etc etc! I can't be easy. sigh.

What was this whole Ian is a gayhater thing? It's so not real, Ian being gayhater after he stated many times that he has gay friends and has no problem with gay marriage for eg. I just don't get it. Any infos?

Yes, I'm curious too, that was such a mystery. I think one article around the time of ROA made Ian look less than gay friendly, and he was pretty mad about that, but that's ancient history already. Maybe somebody came across it recently and got mad? Strange. I think growing up in modeling and working in show business, you pretty much have to be used to gay people and not think anything about that!

Apparently many gay men didn't like Ian's comments on the ROA DVD commentary. I haven't heard it, so I can't comment on it. But some people didn't like it and of course, the A&F interview didn't help at all (even though Ian has said in the F5 that the interviewer was awful and kept trying to twist things).

What I still don't get is that both of these things aren't new. They've been out for a while, but yet now I am getting a rash of hate mail. Why the heck didn't I see this when the DVD was released? From everything that I've found out, it sounds like something more recent happened and that opened up the old wounds - so to speak. Problem is, I have no clue what that something might have been.

Regardelss, it's been lousy reading all the hate mail - especially when I don't think Ian deserves it. And the really fun part? The ones that have now turned on me for defending Ian.

some people have a chip on their shoulder, with ultra sensitivity to their point of view...my 'girlz'-otherwise known as the Friday night manicure club, all watched ROA with commentary, together. No one had a problem with Ian or anything he had said. It's been such a long while, maybe we should revisit it. (just in case I was too vague...my 'girlz' are my 3 male gay friends)
we all have the right to our opinion, and everyone will not be happy, I feel bad for YOU Deb, that you are taking on the brunt of it, and getting shots for defending Ian. Hopefully we make up for the 'bad vibes' with our sweetness and light??
