Announcement to be linked to from the top of the forums for the next 24 hours:

Subject: Software Upgrade 9-10th December

Media Blvd is planning to launch the new forum software this weekend, 9-10th December 2005. If you haven't already had a sneak peak at the Beta Site and tested your log in, we encourage you to do so now. All links to MediaBlvd & bookmarks will need to be modified once the site goes live.

To ensure that no posts are lost in the software conversion, the current Media Blvd boards will become read-only for several hours. You will be able to see all threads as normal, but will be unable to post replies until the conversion is complete. Private messaging will also be disabled during this time. We anticipate the conversion will take approximately 7-9 hours, but it could be longer and we ask for your patience during this time.

We will begin the conversion at approximately 7 PM Eastern Time, on Saturday.

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you all on the new forums.

All the familiar forums and threads are being moved over to the new software now that the testing has been completed. This means that from the end of the conversion (sometime on Sunday) everyone will be using the new look MediaBlvd on the new servers. Use the link at the very top of this page to visit the new look forums. Any further questions please shout. grin.gif

I have a question, I just tested the new forum, and my login isn't working. Any idea what I should do? Because the nick is correct and so is the password.

Not quite sure why that would be happening. I can see you were registered well before 6th November so it shouldn't be happening. Try restarting your internet connection and trying again. Meanwhile I'll pass on your query to the more senior staff at MB smile.gif

Thank you, i'll do just that, and I hope it will work. smile.gif

ETA: Nope, still not working. I've tried restarting the computer, deleting the cookies and temp files, I've tried acess with 2 different browsers (mozzila firefox and internet explorer) and it still tells me "Sorry, we could not find a member using those log in details." I've also tried to register my nickname again, but it doesn't work. sad.gif

Thank you for letting us know about the problems logging in. We will work on getting this fixed so don't worry. smile.gif We'll let you know a soon as we get it straightened out.

N!k!t@, could you try logging in again, please? As I mentioned before, we know there's a problem with usernames that have apostrophes and it could be there's also a wider problem of usernames with @ or ! symbols. With that in mind, I've applied the same fix and hope it made a difference. smile.gif

lookingforlove, I've not found any problems with your username. The email address is different to what you have on these forums though - could you double check that you're trying with the password your account had on November 6th and if that doesn't work then try requesting a password reset/reminder (which might go to an old email address if you recently changed it)?

Thanks for your help in testing!

OK I got logged in but I had to use a old password that i had change a few months ago

It might be that you changed your password after the new forum was set up for testing. Try it again when the changeover has definitely happened. Fingers crossed all will be well smile.gif
