Okay, I didn't know where to post this. I hope here is fine

I read an article about TV shows now days not having theme songs, and if they do, they tend to be very short. Well, as you know, I've never actually seen 'Supernatural', but according to the article the series doesn't have a theme song.
Since we won't have new episodes for a while (I really don't get why...), I thought we could ponder on this one If 'Supernatural' did have a theme song, what do you think it should have been?

lyric, I thought your question was so good that it deserved it's own thread.

I've thought about this for awhile and couldn't come up with anything good. I think it should be something that fits the personality of the show as well as it's two main characters.

I gave it a little thought, and I keep thinking of slow songs, which just doesn't seem right for the series' rhythm.

They just have previouslys at the beginning of every episode.

I think something hard rock would be good. Although nothing comes to mind at the moment.

How about 'You Give Love A Bad Name' by Bon Jovi? Think about it. The first scene of the episode... The cliffhanger... And then...

I think that "Living on a Prayer" by Bon Jovi would be a good one. Or, "Away from the Sun" by 3 Doors Down. I mean, think about the lyrics. I think it would fit perfectly.

great thread lyric. i"m watching the pilot "woman in white" now. sam objects to dean's "mullet-rock" cassette collection. metallica, motorhead, and black sabbath are identified. i would guess iron maiden is in there too. what cuts between there through crue up to maybe stained or seether- what cut wouldn't work? metal isn't my thing, but i think i heard a staind song about brothers in a car i was riding in last summer...

everybody on these music threads says they like rock. i hope there's some input here.



p.s. AC/DC highway to hell is the last song they played in the pilot episode.

They usually play rock songs throughout the show like classic rock. I like the Living on a Prayer, that might work. haha

How about "Back In Black" by AC/DC? Everytime I hear that song now I think of Supernatural.

I just listened to some songs and the ones that most reminded me of Supernatural was 'So Cold' by Breaking Benjamin and 'Until it Sleeps' by Metallica. There was another one, but I forgot.

It played on the show but I don't know which episode.

Very Good tune and would suit the show quite well.

I'd have to go with 'Carry on Wayward Son' by Kansas. I just think that song fits. Even though if you hear the whole song it's about 5 minutes long.

I like the Kansas song too. I also like the classic rock songs they have used, "Back in Black" and "Highway to Hell". That is one of my favorite things about the show, the classic rock. I have my myspace page set to Breaking Benjamin's "Breath" right now. The lyrics seem to fit the show. I also like Breaking Benjamin's "Dance With The Devil" but it's not availiable on myspace yet. They both seem to work with the theme of the show at least for me.

Another song I can think of is Nickelback's "Saving Me".

How about the songs 'Wheel in the Sky' by Journey and 'Back in Black' by AC/DC? They were both played in the episode 'Bloodlust'.

I always thought the theme should be "Highway To Hell" Its on the very first episode and it just goes with the show (I think so anywayz). wat do u guyz think?

I think the Metallica song Turn the page would fit perfectly. Plus as we know, Dean seems to be a fan (good boy )

I like Carry on Wayward Son and Highway to Hell, because in addition to being really awesome songs, they also fit with the plot and theme kind of.

Ha ha Life is a Highway would be cool- a little strange maybe but funny.

I would pick Outside by Stanid or No One from Cold but I think Carry On my Wayward Son is also a really good choice.
