Hey everyone,

As it seems, the original poll didn't survive the move. It still has 3 votes though (all for Alec) and we didn't think it will be fair to leave it like that. So... We're starting over! grin.gif

Jensen has a good amount of credits under his belt so far. Which is your favorite role played by Jensen and why is that one your favorite?

Thank you for your understanding innocent.gif Now go and vote! wink.gif

Well, since I still stick with Alec, I thought I'll just bring the same answer that I had already gave on the DA board and on the original thread:

QUOTE
Why Alec? 'The Berrisford Agenda'. Don't get me wrong. I love the easy going Alec. I love his funny remarks. I love his quick comebacks. I love seeing him running all those schemes. I love his wit. I love him on a motorcycle. I love him shirtless. I love him with cloths on. I love the 'Alec' that they gave us on the beginning of season 2. But that wasn't Alec. The real Alec, to me, was the TBA Alec. And this Alec, this Alec knew about the world what the others didn't. This Alec forgot things that the others would never know. This Alec knew so much hurt, pain and sorrow like none of the others characters on the show knew. And he carried it alone. I love 'Alec', but I admire Alec. The real Alec. The one that call it like he saw it. Because life is too short. Because 'We're living on borrowed time'. And who knew it better than him. He's entire life were a borrowed time. Failure for him meant death.
I got carried away... Why Alec? 'The Berrisford Agenda'.

Funny. When I checked the original thread in order to quote my answer, I've noticed that I wrote that I'm choosing Alec, 'At least until we'll get more of Dean'. Well, I've seen more of Dean... And I'm still voting Alec innocent.gif

I too have been watching Supernatural and as much as I like Dean, and see that Jensen is just getting hotter by the minute, I still just love Alec. Jensen did the best he could with both CJ and Jason, but those shows are just TOO much about the leads so Jensen's characters never amounted to much.

It's Alec for me. Probably always will be Alec. I think because he was a developing role Jensen was really able to make that Alec live and breathe in a very real way. Plus it was just a great part, so much complexity and depth. And hotness.
Immortal Goddess
I chose Alec as well, it was hard because Dean is such a great character and everything, but it had to be Alec.

I'd have to pick Dean because he's such a good guy, even though he tends to be a bit harsh on his younger brother, but I guess that's what older brothers do, huh? lol [...] I love the character and he develops more each episode and I think that's what makes him hot besides his bad boyness and his looks.

Just bumping it wink.gif

I voted but never told you who... obviously Alec, he's different from Dean, there are some similarities but Alec's definately got that rogue element in him - I love that side grin.gif

You really must grin.gif

Even after an entire season of Supernatural (of course, I haven't seen all of it), I still have to say Alec.

Check JRAUnlimited.com's Videos section for Dark Angel clips (the towel scene is from 'Borrowed Time').

Jensenacklesfans.com might have it as well, but the site seems to be down at the moment.

I couldn't see Supernatural yet, it's going to take a while until I can see that. In "Dark Angel" his role wasn't very good, maybe I don't remember everything of him from there....

But.. in Smallville he had a very cool character smile.gif he turned from good to evil in only one season. To play that is, I guess, quite difficult. So he got my vote for SV grin.gif

Decisions, decisions! I've only seen Dark Angel, Smallville and Supernatural. And only small sections of Ben, not the whole episode (yet).
I think I have to vote Dean. I care more about him than Alec. Love Alec, great character. But I think he's more "all right" with himself than Dean will ever be and I need to see that he's still coping...
Sad isn't it, that one can get so invested in a total fiction. smile.gif
*shiri&jensen4ever*
^I don't know I'd still say Alec - at least Dean has family, his brother & father people who love & care about him. Alec has no real family except his transgenic siblings and it's not exactly a cosy arrangement. Joshua & Max are probably his closest friends but even then he's begging for favours from them... yep it's fiction but it's fun! lol.gif

I was reading something on TV Guide and thought about your post. So here it is wink.gif

Question: I was reading some of these questions about TV shows. What do people expect, and why does TV have such an importance in their lives? It is what it is, and we outside of the industry basically have no control. So why is everyone so emotional about television? — Carman

Matt Roush: OK, is this a joke? [Deep breath] I'm assuming this is a serious question, so let me just say that I'm thrilled people care as much as they do about the shows they get passionately attached to. (Where would I be and what would I do without them?) TV is without question the most powerful of all entertainment media. It's in everyone's home, and the shows and characters become part of millions of people's weekly or daily routine. That may seem pathetic to you, but as exasperated as I may get sometimes at the gripes and obsessions of some of the fans, I totally get it, dating back to a childhood when I used to hoard back copies of TV Guide (never dreaming I'd be in a place to share my professional perspective with similarly minded folks). We may not have control over what happens to the shows we care about, but that's not going to stop us from caring. If it ever does, then I guess I'm out of a job.

I was talking to another Aussie fan elsewhere just after the SN season finale aired out here, and we were both doing our lost souls impersonation.
And it seems to me that, yeah, it's only a TV show. But we've invited these characters into our homes and had them sit in our loungerooms while we have a beer and tell us a bit about themselves and their lives each week for 22 weeks. They've become friends. Now they're not going to be visiting for awhile (I'm not sure if they're ever coming back in Australia yet) and the last time we saw them, they were in one heck of tight spot. So we miss them.

And it's a credit to the writing and acting team that we DO care about these guys.
So many shows, we're voyeurs, just looking in a window at the characters and often there's no sense of purpose to those characters.
This show, we're sitting in the Impala with them, occasionally we're inside their heads. We know what makes them tick to a certain extent, and we keep learning more.

And Dark Angel was the same. The show was dealing with an unreal subject but we cared. It seemed real and was therefore more easily believable.
Smallville doesn't have that. Not for me anyway. It's a bit of (very) light entertainment.

uhm okay, I have to change my vote tongue.gif when I first replied here in the topic I haven't seen the whole second season of Dark Angel. Now I have and I must say there he was even much more better than in Smallville smile.gif thumbsup.gif

^ nod.gif even tho DA has ended I'm so glad the show & it's characters can still leave an impression on newcomers

I was watching DA from episode 1 on, because I thought the idea was and still is very good. When the season 2 finale came I thought: Oh wow, I hope it's going to get a new season. And then I found out that they cancelled the show and I was so sad, because the finale wasn't as good as I was hoping it to be. There are so many questions left and it would have been cool to give the show a new season.

Maybe they're going to bring it back someday wink.gif
