There has been a rumor running around the internet that James is going to be in a pilot for Scifi Channel called Starfighters. Steve Himber was e-mailed and denies James is associated with this....whatever it is.

Yes,but its still really weird. People who are e-mailing the Starfighters site get back a reply that "Yes,it is a pilot and they have hired him and we will see that they are telling the truth. But they seem to rely on the word of their "money man" that he has a letter of intent" signed by James and they talked to his agent (to the best of my knowledge,James has only a manager not an agent,,,and his manager,as I said...says he's not in it ). So.......I would put my money on Steve Himber's word. If I don't see it on James Official site....I don't believe it.

They have removed James photo from their website. They explain it is in their best interests to "release" James from this project.

Translation: They got that "Cease and desist" letter from James' management.

Anyway,back to waiting for some "real" good projects to happen for our boy.

It's true that it may well be the single role that James is most remembered for. Not many times you get 7 plus years to build a character and add as many layers as we saw Spike get. But I just know that with the right part, James is very capable of making another role just as memorable. What if Harrison Ford had stopped with Han Solo...you would have never seen Indiana Jones or some other pretty memorable roles.

Though to be totally fair,I have seen Ben affleck give good,solid performances like in "Shakespeare In Love" and in his early work. he's been in a lot of G-awful movies lately...I gather he just does whatever the big money wants him to do. Personally,I think his gift was in writing. His writing of an excellent script is what brought him to fame in the first place.

I already had the thrill of my lifetime when I got to ask a question in person at a Con. I told him how great the poetry slam thing was in the last episode of Angel and I asked him to do the poem for us. He said they had once again given him the gold...that it was the best scene in the finale,he thought but he couldn't remember the poem. So,just instinctually I repeated it to him sort of lowering my voice and doing it in his cadence...He got a surprized look on his face,leaned back and said "You don't need me...you're good!
(which is a crock,of course,but I am going to go to my grave happy that the best actor in the world said that I do a good reading! )
