With all the discussions that we have around the board, all the agreements and disagreements, all the favorites parts and less favorites parts, all the shippings' and characters' likes and dislikes, all the 'wars' and 'peace' moments that we have here... with everything, have you ever stopped to think what is it all really about?

I really believe this. In my life, fandom is a way for me to step out of reality and into this life I wish I had. With people I wish were real. And being able to come online and find that other people around the world have similar dreams, maybe not exact, but it is good to know that others like the same ideas or don't like the ideas. I live off movies and TV shows. When I am having a bad day or something terrible happened on the news or in my life, I just watch one of my fav movies or a good episode of a show (BTW I only started buying TV shows on dvd. I have the complete sets of Friends, Dark Angel and have the first set of Grey's Anatomy) but it really helps. It keeps my mind off of what was bothering me or helps me deal with the problem without going bizerk.(which I do, do on occation)

Nice piece. I guess that the essence of my existence is "fringedom," since I can't even get into fandom deeply!

I guess in RL I'm just too close to Reagan Ronald to do more than play at being Sketchy...
