I stole these lines from a fellow poster who borrowed them from the writer....
Kara: "I thought you were dead."
Lee: "I thought you were in hack."
Kara: "It's good to be wrong."
Lee: "Well, you should be used to it by now."
Kara: "Everyone has a skill."

Okay, I'll byte.
Michael,
The Fleshbot Leobon Conoy is stalking your character's wife, Kara Thrace. You're gonna get well enough to kick It's butt, right.? I mean, the writers may have something planned for you but you're gonna tell them that Anders isn't a wussy under any conditions, yes.?
Were you married before the Cylons Nuked Caprica.?
If yes, Did you have any children.?
Are you from Caprica, or some other colony.?
How many attended your wedding to Kara Thrace. Was it a royal affair or was like a civil ceremony officiated by Lee Adama, commanding.?

Hey Micheal, welcome to the boards. Hopefully you have been warned about the mad poster? .......grins evilly........
1. How do you prepare for each role you do or have done?
2. What role you have done so far that is your favorite?
3. If you could be a human sundae, what kind of toppings would you want on you?
4. What is it like working with the cast of Battlestar Galactica?
5. How do I get in touch with your fan club?
6. How do you react to those who think Anders is a cylon?
7. I used to watch you as Spooner on Pensacola:Wings of Gold and I was wondering if you ever got to go up in one of the planes?
8. What is your ideal actor/actress to work with?
9. What is your ideal role?
10. What was it like working with James Brolin?
Well I better stop while I can. TTYL

Hey there......so let's see if I can shed some light on some of your questions:
As a blanket statement regarding Battlestar Galactica, unfortunately ( or fortunately) I am not at liberty to discuss nor reveal any character or plot points that may be dealt with in future episodes. But I'm sure that's no surprise to any of you....so predictable right? I CAN tell you that Sam Anders will be returning for at least part of season 3 and from what I've read so far things are looking strong for a helluva good season. I'm scheduled to return to Vancouver around the 19th of April to start filming and I gotta tell you I can't wait! This is an amazing cast and crew to work with. They've set a level of professionalism and personablility that's hard to find on just any set. There's a reason this is a critically acclaimed series and it shows in everyone I work with. I really respect the talent of everyone involved. I mean, can you get better writing!?!? For an actor, this is the cornerstone to any good project...not budget, big names, high profile network, special effects, etc. While all that stuff IS important, it doesn't mean anything without a good script.....and Ron Moore and David Eick and their team of writers consistently deliver. So stay tuned 'cause it's gonna be good.
As to some of the other inquiries, let's see:
Yes, I did get some seat time in a real F/A-18 Hornet, about 90 minutes in fact. We used footage from the hop to cut into various episodes of Pensacola: Wings of Gold. We had cameras mounted on the back of the front seat while I rode in the back seat or the RIO chair. The jet is fully functional from either seat so at one point during the flight I was handed control of the aircraft and was actually flying a Hornet totally unassisted. The pilot had his hands up on the "towel racks" of the canopy and I was in control of the stick. We all (the cast) had about 3 days of training in simulators prior to actually going up so we had a pretty basic knowledge of how the jet flies and I gotta tell you, it was remarkable easy. One of the greatest experiences of my life.
I have to run for now but I'll be checking back in soon to try and answer a few more quests.....in the meantime.....rock on!
Thanks for your interest.
Cheers!

Hey there,
Forgive me if this is redundant.....I just completed shooting the last 3 or 4 episodes of "One Tree Hill" for the WB, the first of which I appear in airs TONITE.
I just finished a pilot for Touchstone/ABC called "Him & Us" which is a single camera 1/2 hour based loosely on the lifestyle of an Elton John type rock star. Elton is, in fact, one of the exec. producers on the project. I play 'Pete' the security/bodyguard.
From here I'm off to Vancouver to start season 3 on "Battlestar"......
and simultaneously I'll be shooting a part in the Sony/Revolution movie "NEXT" starring Nic Cage and Jessica Biel.....so yeah, I 've got a few irons in the fire and I'm excited and grateful for all of them.
Thanks for your interest!

Hi Michael, a quick question.

I see on imdb that you're in a band. Are you still in the band? Are you a singer or a fancy guitar player? One more, is there a way to hear some of your music online?
Have fun working!!
M.T.
Apr 18 2006, 04:48 AM
Yes...the band is called 'simpleworld'. I am, in fact, the "fancy" guitar player. We have not played live for quite some time as our drummer and keyboard player both left the band over a year ago. We did manage to record an 8 song CD before we quit playing altogether. It's our second CD actually and I think better than the first. We should be making it available soon.

Let's see...I'll try to go in order:
Fisrt off, thanks for watching. Yes, there IS still a chance OTH will be returning next season but nothing definite has been announced. And it is possible that Cooper will be making a return as well, but again, nothing is set for sure.
The music in my band is rock/pop I guess....think Coldplay, U2, INXS, REM, etc. kinda in that vein. I don't know... I'm playing a Gibson Les Paul, Fender Strat, LaRavee 12-string acoustic through Line6 amps and various DOD pedals and rack-mount effects and what not.
And finally....I'm 6'3", I played football and wrestled in highschool and I pretty much go by Michael.
Thanks for your questions...I'll check back soon.

Hi Michael,
You rocked last eppy on OTH and I really missed your character on the show because he is like a comedy relief lol.
I am sooo mad about Rachel lying so not cool. I hope Cooper put her in her place. I mean the stripping thing was SO not fair! Lol, I mean what guy could resist a striptease? lol
So what I wanted to ask is how was shooting OTH? And which member of the cast did you got more along with?
Keep the good work, you´re awesome!
I hope to see more from you on OTH

Hey Michael!
I love you as Cooper! I'm sure you can't say too much, but if the show picks back up, will your character possibly reappear and end up with Rachel? Also, I had two questions about your band. Do you guys have a cd out and are you touring any time soon? Ok, well one more dorky question, but, have you met Gavin DeGraw and if so, what do you think of him?
Good luck with everything!

So, as some of you may now know, One Tree Hill IS coming back for a fourth season. The fate of Cooper still hangs in the balance, but I can tell you that there has been some discussion between Warner Bros. (the network) and my representatives. Nothing has been determined yet as it is still very early in the process. So I don't actually know for certain if Cooper will be returning or not....and to be perfectly honest, I'm not sure I'll even be allowed to say either way, so you all just have to "stay tuned" as they say.
I know...that's a pretty lame answer but that's the game. A little anticipation is a good thing, no?
Cheers, Michael
P.S. For Nina: yes, we put out a CD a few years ago and I think it's available on iTunes still. the newest CD however has not been uploaded yet. I'll try to figure out a way to make some of our songs available on my website michaeltrucco.com

Hey Kayla...
Honestly, there isn't one member of the cast of BSG that I don't get along with fantastically. I know that sounds a bit trite, but it's true. There is no tension among the whole group with any of them and that is a rare thing when you have such a large "ensemble" cast. Usually, with that many people in a show, someone feels threatened or insecure about their character or their storyline or whether or not they're getting enough attention, etc. And that is simply NOT the case on Battlestar Galactica. I am very fortunate to be a guest of such a great cast AND crew. They got it right.
Thanks for the question.

Hey Kayla,
Yeah, I get along with everyone pretty much equally....but from both the cast AND crew one person in particular comes to mind off the top of my head who personifies the enthusiasm and love of the craft that everyone on this show displays. Our Steadi-Cam/B-camera operator, Tim, is the hardest working man in the biz....he loves what he does and busts his butt to get the shot EVERY take. In fact, the whole camera team and everyone on that crew never give a half-assed effort. It's really quite impressive. My hat is off to them all. They really take pride in what they do.
On the picture thing, you can go on my website michaeltrucco.com[url=www.michaeltrucco.com] and there is an address where you can send me snail mail under "contacts" section. ( I wouldn't post your address here on-line if I were you.) Just send me an S.A.S.E. and I'll try to get you a signed picture as soon as I can. Again, thanks for the questions.

No practical jokes on BSG....YET! James Brolin is a hoot...he, too, is a practical joker on set....he loves the 'fart machine' gag on set. I love Switzerland in the summer...what a country! Pet peeves?.....people who TALK TOO LOUD ON THEIR CELL PHONES, or those little earpiece/cellphone-in one devices stuck to the side of someone's head (are you kidding me?!?) or just phones in general...I really do NOT like talking on the phone. I love auto racing so I don't really have a fav. team in the conventional sense....which leads me to: The Long Beach Grand Prix. I absolutely intend to participate in the Celebrity Pro/Am Race there in the near future! As for food/drink etc., I'm constantly evolving my tastes and expanding my palette so it's hard to say (how's that for some good ole fashioned b.s.?).

Hi Michael!
I've gotta say, I think it is so awesome that you take the time to talk to fans online like this.
I'm one of your newer fans. So far I'm only familiar with you from BSG (though I did recently catch you in Wishmaster), but I'm now keeping a lookout for you everywhere.
First, let me tell you how good you are on BSG: I'm a total Lee/Kara shipper, I live for Lee/Kara, and I despise anything that gets in their way (Die, Dualla, Die!!!!) And yet, even with that.... I totally worship Sam Anders. He's such a great character... very down to earth (er... down to Caprica?), very laid back, very lovable. He's a lot like Helo, who I also adore. And you do such a great job portraying him... I can't hate him no matter how much I originally tried. You even make me squee during Kara/Anders mushy scenes. Bravo!
A question I have for you now... I've gotten some conflicting information about your appearances in season 3. A few months ago there were pictures of you as Sam in a season 3 episode, and it said that you were scheduled to appear in 7 episodes so far in season 3. I believe this was on your official site, but I can't remember for sure. Then another article I read later said that you were only scheduled for either 4 or 5 episodes. I didn't know if it had been changed from 7, or if the second article was incorrect.
Would it be against spoiler policy for you to reveal how many eps you signed on for? Even if it's just a few, I'm hoping you can come back in the second half of the season. I'm not ready to say goodbye to Sam!
I have to admit I'm a bit torn... as much as I love Sam and like that he's one of the good guys, there's a part of me that hopes he's a cylon, so he can never really be killed off!
Speaking of which, how would you feel if (totally hypothetical, everyone else who's reading, this is not a "Sam is a cylon" spoiler!!) Sam did turn out to be a cylon? Would you be dissapointed, or would you like the chance to play him as a bad guy?
Thanks in advance for any info you can reveal, and for taking the time to answer our questions, you're the best!
M.T.
Jul 10 2006, 02:05 AM
How do?
It's cool to see so many of you checking in on the message board.....I hope I can manage to satisfy some of your curiosities. I apologize if I don't get to every specific question but I'll try my best.....
In terms of NASCAR, I'm a Cup Car fan. I'll watch a little of the Busch Series but it seems a little redundant to me. Too many Cup guys driving in that Series so why even have TWO? To me, they should be mutually exclusive, if you drive in the NEXTEL CUP then stay out of the Busch Series....it's for the new guys to get a chance. Randy Johnson doesn't pitch in the minors whenever he feels like it or Tom Brady doesn't suit up for college games, or Tiger Woods....anyhow you get the point.
As for drivers, I like Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Carl Edwards but then again I'm partial to the west coast. Dale Earnhardt was my all-time favorite, of course. Jeff Burton, Rusty Wallace, Michael Waltrip, Dale Jarret, the list goes on.....
I'm most interested in open wheel racing however. I'm into F1 especially. Kimi Raikonnen is the one to watch. Excellent driver....horrible luck!
I gotta run but I'll follow up later.
Cheers, Michael

My musical inspirations growing up were focused more directly on guitar players and riffs than the particular band themselves. In other words, I was drawn to a sound or style of guitarist. The first riffs I ever learned ( mostly self-taught) were inspired right from the sounds of The Sex Pistols....just straight-forward power chords. I'm not sure if I was even playing them right but they sounded pretty cool. Of course, Jimmy Page was mesmerizing to listen to....Johnny Marr from The Smiths....Andy Summer from The Police...Randy Rhoads from Ozzy Osbourne...and of course the GREATEST guitar solo ever: Berton Averre's jaw dropping hyper-kinetic 90 second solo in the Knack's "My Sharona" (the album cut, not the shortened radio version). If you haven't heard it in a while, give it a re-listen if for anything else the solo alone!
But the single most inspirational musical influence and the basis for my own style of guitar playing is no doubt The Edge from U2. Once I heard those early tracks from albums like Boy and The Unforgettable Fire when I was I kid I couldn't wait to try and duplicate those haunting guitar riffs and sounds. He was a pioneer of a very unique sound...analog delay, echo, harmonics, sequencers, etc. I dig that .
So long for now,
Michael

That's really cool Michael, I can't wait to hear your own guitar playing.

And I'll have to listen to "My Sharona" again, I haven't heard it in ages. I'll listen out for the solo.

Hey,
Right now [b]simpleworld is in a bit of a holding pattern...man, if you could only hear the NEWER stuff. I'll try to make that available to any interested parties. I'm not quite sure what lies in the future for the band....but you'll know when I do.
Yeah, unlike most Americans, I LIKE soccer (er, football). It's a bit overly dramatic at times...some of these guys should consider a career in theatre...but I dig it. Americans generally suffer from short attention spans. Everything is spoon-fed to us when it comes to media and entertainment. We like stats and numbers and individual achievements when it comes to sports. In soccer, the only stat that matters is the score. In American football you've got things like "yards per carry", "yards per pass", "number of completions/interceptions", "rushing TDs/passing TDs" and so on and so forth. Same with baseball, MORE SO with baseball. So Americans can't really get into the soccer thing because unless the team scores, they're just running around in circles passing the ball back and forth. That's just they way I see the situation, I could be wrong. But network television definitely has a problem with soccer: not enough commercial breaks. SELL, SELL, SELL, all the time! Merchandise, sponsorship, money, money money! But I guess that pretty universal too so.....I don't know. I enjoyed the World Cup. Viva Italia! I'm a Trucco!
