Full Version: Who do YOU think we should interview?

NetRanger
As we hope you have noticed, we have had some amazing luck getting celebrity interviews since we launched the MediaBlvd Magazine in January. If you haven't noticed, check it out at http://www.MediaBlvd.com/Magazine.

So far we have done interviews with:

Brendan Fehr
Majandra Delfino
Devon Gummersall
Scarlett Johansson
Jonathan Rhys-Meyers
Matthew Goode
Vin Diesel
Alfre Woodard
Simon Baker
Donald Faison
Blair Underwood
Milla Jovovich
Emilie de Ravin
Aaron Douglas
Idina Menzel
Justin Chambers
Robin Tunney
Steve Buscemi

We also have interviews that will appear in the next issue with Shiri Appleby, Lesley Ann Warren, and Mo'nique. Eva Longoria and several of the cast members of X-Men 3 as well as various others have committed to us for upcoming issues.

Since MediaBlvd Magazine is really for you, the users of the MediaBlvd Forums, we would like to know who you would be most interested in reading about. Don't limit yourselves to TV or film only, or to celebrities or groups that we currently cover. We plan to expand to covering best selling authors, musicians and bands, and any other Media related individuals.

There is absolutely no guarantee that we can get any certain person to talk to us, but there is also a good possibility that we might be able to, based on our success so far.

So who would you, as a user of the MediaBlvd Forums and Network be most interested to read about in MediaBlvd Magazine?

Channing Tatum, and if he isn't available, maybe Channing Tatum?? smile.gif

It's not fair that I answer this question *Teehee*

I just didn't want this thread to die out..that and I have writer's block at the moment at my office and needed a break. My co-worker went on the set of Scrubs today and didn't take me. bawl.gif . That's okay, no Idol scoop for him!

No, you really should answer this question. Any input will really help me know what interviews to try and seek out.

A long shot, probably, but Daniel Day-Lewis (I'd be interested in reading about how he approaches acting).

Unicorns22, you are Christina right? If so, I wanted to tell you how very much impressed I am with what you and NetRanger and the others are doing with the magazine. It is really cool the people that you have gotten so far, the layout looks excellent, and it is very professional and just well done overall.

Ok, I think the point of this is that we are supposed to tell you who we think would be really the coolest right, no matter how hard they would be or whatever? I'm sure that it isn't that easy to line people up, especially on a certain time schedule.

But the coolest edition of the mag that I could think of would be Channing Tatum and Tom Welling in two weeks to celebrate their shared birthday!!! Or just any other time you could get them I suppose.

Those two tie for number 1. Especially Channing, I think it's really a raw deal that he isn't getting more press cause Amanda Bynes is getting so much, when he is so good in that movie. So anything MediaBlvd Mag could do to help set the balance by interviewing him, would be a move towards setting the Universe right!!! smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif

Number 2. Jared Padalecki from Supernatural
Number 3. Paul Walker

Again, great job! I am so thrilled that MB added this feature!!!! You guys Rock!

It's actually not all that much of a long shot. I interviewed Daniel Day-Lewis last year, for a film called "The Ballad of Jack & Rose," primarily about how he approaches acting. So, maybe that will come up again, as soon as he has another project to promote. I will definitely keep that in mind. Thanks!
Maxi
smile.gif Thanks.

He's one of my all time favourites.

I actually interviewed Channing Tatum last month, for "She's the Man." Unfortunately, they paired his interviews with Amanda Bynes and, since I was writing a feature on her, I couldn't really talk to Channing much. But, I will go through my interview tape and see if I can pull together a feature on him, just in time for his b'day. No promises, but I'll give it my best effort.

Oh, that's cool! Do what you can!! See, that's my point though, she's getting all the press. Don't get me wrong, I like her and she was good, but Channing was great in it. I'm not one of those obsessive "OMG he's so hot types", but I do think he is a good actor and is going to be really popular sometime soon. (Of course he is kind of easy on the eyes too!) Anyway, it makes my day that you will even try, so thanks!! smile.gif

Holly Marie Combs, Alyssa Milano, Rose Mc Gowan and Brian Krause about their life after Charmed. *You knew that was coming from me* lol.gif

Scott Speedman from the new Underworld: Evolution would be also cool.

And may suggest a 'What happened to ...' column, with interviews with celebs that haven't been around for ages. Like Kirstie Alley or Kirk Cameron or so.

How about a follow up interview with the Fehr-one,yes I know you guys allready did one with im but a girl has to ask, actually it would be REALLY great if you guys could get an interview with Metallica, they have been doing some touring as well as working on their album due for release probs later this year.I recently saw them up close and personal and they really are a great group of guys who still kicks a whole lotta butt.

Unfortunately, my Scott Speedman interview from "Underworld: Evolution" would just be too old now, since the film will be out on DVD in June. However, he does have a couple of films scheduled for release in 2007, so maybe we can do a feature on him then.

Personally, I would love it if we could get Kristen Bell or anybody else from the cast of Veronica Mars. Rob Thomas is also very generous with interviews. Veronica Mars needs all the help it can get with PR and ratings and maybe they'd be up for this.

I would second Katherine Heigl and Sandra Oh and add the amazing Chandra Wilson.

Josh Holloway would also rock, as would Terry O'Quinn.

Thank you for for this thread innocent.gif

I'd love to read an interview with Jensen Ackles...

Tom Fontana. 'Homicide: Life on the Street' was a great show, and 'OZ' was simply a masterpiece.

Dawn Ostroff, the CW's President of Entertainment.

Oded Fehr.

Wishful thinking, but... anyone from the cast and/or crew of 'La Femme Nikita' (the series). Season 4 DVD should be out on July 25, 2006, so... please? innocent.gif

Unicorns, the only reason I posted what I did is I do celeb interviews through my real-life job so it's not fair for me to mention anyone because I know I can try and get anyone I personally want to interview for my job or for MB. Sweeps is coming up for most of the shows so I can try and inquire about what celebs are doing press for their TV shows in the next few weeks. I have been doing the Idol press conference every week though if anyone is interested in any Idol stuff.

Wow, I didn't realize the ones that Christina was doing were actually one on one interviews. I thought they were just profiles or something based on stuff that was already published, or news releases from the publicists. I wonder how many other people think that? Maybe you should do intro paragraphs saying something lie "Christina Radish set down to talk to _____, at the junket for the movie." I don't think it's clear otherwise that they are exclusive interview stuff where you are actually sitting down with the person. (BTW, I don't mean to offend here, I was just pointing out what I thought- there are a lot of websites, newspapers, and even magazines that try to do features on celebrities and make it unclear as to whether they actually talked to the person, or even give the deliberate mis-impression that they talked to the person when they didn't)

I'm actually really, really impressed then if these are all interviews and will have to go take another look at the magazine. In fact, it's nothing short of amazing that you have gotten that many people so quickly.

I agree with the above that Channing Tatum and Jared Padalecki would be excellent!!!

Oh my gosh there are so many I would love to see you interview. I am all for anything with the following: (please, please, please)

Jason Behr
Jensen Ackles
Jared Padalecki
Sandra Oh
Katherine Heigl
Matthew Fox

I have to agree with what Adriana posted - I know Christina's interviews are one-on-one original content, mostly because I've known of Christina's work for more than five years, but we could definitely make it more explicit.

I also love the idea of a "Where are they now?" feature - the celebrity interviews are terrific, but that would sort of round them out, especially for fans of people who aren't currently promoting projects (which make up more than half the celebrities on the boards).

Following up on that, if we could do a feature on a particular show, like "BTVS - Where are they now?" or, "Felicity - Where are they now?" it could be really fun, rather than simply focusing on a single actor. Just some ideas... look.gif

How about Michael Shanks and the others from Stargate? *Val's banner made me think of that. grin.gif*

Michael Shanks thud.gif that would be amazing and if you could do a dual interview with Michael and Ben Browder that would make some people very happy grin.gif.

I totally support this idea. grin.gif

Me too!!!

I also like the idea of the cast or someone from Charmed, since the show is ending. Say Holly Marie Combs, Alyssa Milano, Rose McGowan, Brian Krause, or Drew Fuller smile.gif I had to add that last one. grin.gif

Also maybe Josh Duhamel or Vanessa Marcil from Las Vegas.

It's funny that, in the more than 12 years that I've been doing the celebrity interview thing, that I haven't ever run into you, since you say you do interviews so frequently. Being such a small community of writers, that really just strikes me as odd.

Unicorns, you DO know who I am--in fact, we even talked on the phone a few times when I used to work for Zap2it.com and did a lot of things with Roswell. I do not do a lot of in-person movie press events any longer (far too busy with all the other aspects of my job to do so)--I work a lot with the television side of the industry now that I am working for a different company.

Ask Netranger or any of the long-time mods or admins for who I am outside of this posting name. I've been a member of this site and fanforum since the beginning and used to do a ton of things at FF (helped run 2 websites devoted to WB shows-Dawson's Creek and Crashdown, was a moderator and admin--for a short time, was a founding member of FF, provided news and content to various individuals who ran other websites hosted by FF, and many other projects/activities I am sure I am forgotting at the moment)

I'm just under a different name on this site than I was at Fanforum. Actually, my real name was my posting name at Fanforum for several years but someone already registered under it when I came to MB. (It's in my signature) Does that give you a better sense of who I am? He wouldn't have me listed as what I am doing for the magazine if I wasn't legit.

look.gif Not that it matters, but I knew exactly who you are/were, which is why I made my original post on this thread. It is good to be working with the two of you again, especially considering both of your excellent connections and resources, not to mention your writing contributions.

...and it would probably be best to continue this conversation somewhere else, if need be...

lyric - lol.gif I like your idea! I was thinking of Peta Wilson just the other day - wondering whta she was up to.

Ooh - which gives me an idea for another article. *goes off to find a suitable writer*

There really is no reason to get so nasty. I'm sorry, but I never said that I did not know who you are. You are more than welcome to re-read my post again to see that for yourself.

Thanks smile.gif

Peta is on 'Superman Returns', which should be released on June 30, 2006. If I'm not mistaken, she also appeared/will appear on one episode of 'Two Twisted'.
Hey, does that qualify for an interview? Because (most of) the other cast members are also doing extremely well. As does the crew! Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran are '24' creators nod.gif

Yeah, so I REALLY love the show lol.gif

brummsumsel
I'm also adding Drew Fuller. He has a board here and I think that he really has something coming. smile.gif

And David Boreanaz - whoa! Just don't let him read his board. hide.gif lol.gif lol.gif lol.gif

One who would be really cool is Joss Whedon!

With the UEFA Champions League entering it's final straight and FIFA World Cup this summer (YES!), is it possible to work something out? Those are probably two of the most wacthed events in the world, with a huge media coverage and fanatic fans.

Everything goes: Interviews with players, managers, national teams' coaches, FIFA/UEFA officials, networks executives.
