wave.gif Hi there

I was wondering if there was any way we could speed up posting on these boards?

I know you have added the "Fast Reply" feature to this system but that can still take quite a long time in real terms on fast moving boards like the "General Chat & OT" board because we have to click "Add reply" and then wait for the reply to load onto the thread and only then can we click the link at the top or bottom of the page which takes us back out to the subject board.

In case I'm not making any sense here I remember that with the old board style it was possible to post really quickly because there were two options.....one where you could add a post and then wait to see it loaded onto the thread but the other was a quicker option which let you add a post and then bounce straight back out to the subject board without seeing your post. grin.gif

I know when it gets slow for me to load a page I empty out the cache and sometimes the cookies and then it speeds up really quickly.
Have you tried that?

Many thanks for your suggestion. grin.gif

I try to empty my browser cache after each internet session as a matter of course to prevent it from slowing up my connection and I delete my cookies every once in a while as well.

I was thinking more in terms of a software capability like we used to have which enabled you to effectively "post and run"? It's not a big deal if we can't do it with this new software it just means you can get out of synch with others more often than we used to do on fast moving boards like the one I mentioned because of the longer time delay between submitting a post and being able to post again.
