I saw an interesting discussion break out on another board. The question posed was would you rather see James in something romantic so you could get into that whole "shipping" feeling even if it was not the kind of thing critics notice or would you rather see him take a serious role that was Oscar-worthy (even if he had to play an older or less attractive character?


In other words,your attraction to James....is it all about the acting or the killer cheekbones and the beautiful blue eyes?

Well when we first saw spikey it was n't romantic but dang he was still hot

And I love how he plays Brainiac...no where near romantic. But again I liked looking at him but he played a real good baddie , yeah spike was a bad boy but Brainiac was more evil even.

So I guess what I'm saying is yeah he's nice to look at and I don't need to get that shipper feeling because he's a great actor . I'd prolly watch him in anything.

For me, it IS all about the acting. The reason James takes my breath away is because of how he makes me feel the emotions of the character he plays. I think he's the finest actor that I've ever seen and I desperately want him to get a chance to show what he can do and to get it down on film.

That said,I would enjoy a romantic role for him as much as the next fan...but if he never had a "shippy" role again,it would not really matter to me.
