I thought I'd start a thread on the ever popular series; The Legend of Zelda



My favourite game of all time is The Ocarina of Time. I got the new game, Majora's Mask, but never really played it because of the stupid timed crap.

So what's your favourite Zelda game?

Why do you guys think that Majora's Mask was so unpopular compared to the others?

I think that it was the stupid time trial thing. *shrug*

Yeah, probably that. I got a bit annoyed with it if I was trying to focus on completing a dungeon, but then found that my time was running out. Of course, you could slow it right down and go back in time, but even so, got boring after a while.

Hopefully they'll bring out another Windwaker-type game soon, using the same engine. Except without the time thing.

I have never been able to grasp this game, i always get lost!!!

I must buy an Expansion Pak someday, and finish Majora's Mask. Still can't find where I put my last one.

I checked on Ebay, assuming I'd be able to pick one up at a bargain price, only to find that they're going for a similar amount to when I actually bought it new! Taking the mick just slightly there.

I have to say I really enjoy the NGC version of Legend of Zelda; WIndwalker (or I think it's called that). And I have the special disk on it's way in the mail with the 4 first games. I think it will be cool.

Can you buy the special disk by itself there?

The only way we can get it is by buying the Mario Kart: Double Dash!! GameCube bundle.

I get the monthly magazine here, and it got really good offers. And one of it was to sign up again and you get the 4 zelda's on one cd for free because you signed up.

I don't like the mask one because it has a time, and you don't have a lot of time to finish that temple. So wrong.
And I lik the Ocarina of Time because it didn't had a time, and it showed that Zelda and Link had a soulmate thing going on at the end.
And for the credit for both of them, that they both havea good story line to it.

Majora's Mask was infinitely more challenging than Ocarina of Time simply because it had the time factor, which no other Zelda game has had. There are only a total of four bosses (not counting the final boss, which is like three bosses really), and you get to fight them over and over BECAUSE there is time that you can control. Name any other Zelda game that does THAT! You can redo nearly everything, so you don't have to settle for seeing it just twice. Not only that, but you also can't just save wherever you want like in other Zelda games e.g. Twilight Princess and Ocarina of Time. Don't brush Majora's Mask off just because it's too hard for you. It just means you're not as good at Zelda as you thought you were. I beat it easily - the hardest boss was Gyorg, but the others were a piece of cake. It's those hard games that are worth playing. Why bother playing a game you can beat on your first try within four hours?

That's not to say I don't like the other games. Windwaker centers around the wind and has many plot twists, which I love, and you actually have to look around for the shards of the Triforce of Courage. Hyrule Castle underwater, getting the Master Sword and realizing it's STILL useless against Ganondorf - those are the kinds of stuff that attract me. Ocarina of Time was a classic that seems to have the most bosses (too lazy to count right now), and it was the first game for N64. It's always fun to play through because of its own storyline. Twilight Princess by far has the best graphics, and you can tell the developers spent a lot of time on it. The weapons on there are so diverse you wouldn't have even thought of it: DOUBLE Clawshots (single was too much like hookshot, and double is SO much better), a Ball and Chain (amazing how he can carry that around and still run!), Spinner (like riding a Beyblade - brilliant!), and Hawkeye (where was it when we needed it in the other games!?) are some of the few. And don't even get me started on the Bomb/Arrow Combinations!

We need Zelda games like Majora's Mask, with their stiff difficulty, and Twilight Princess, with its unique variety and great graphics.

I didn't like Link's Awakening, as it's the one Zelda game I've come across where Zelda and the Triforce have nothing to do with anything.

Ocarina of Time was one of my favorites probably because of the fact it was one of the games I ever first completed when I was little. Also, I loved riding the Epona.

I never really played Zelda games...at all. But I plan on getting a Nintendo Wii, I wouldn't mind getting the Zelda game for that, it looks kinda fun.

Me too, I really hear alot about the game.. but just don't seem to get it.

You won't be dissapointed, Phantom Hourglass would have to be my fave Zelda game. I can't believe the content they have put on this game for the NDS. It's absolutely amazing and addicting. My Least fave would be Majora's Mask.

my favorite Zelda game is Majora's Mask. But I love them all! I seriously don't dislike a single one. They are all great. I usually can get through them without cheats too. I think I just have a natural thing for Zelda games...but every other game I am not too great at.

I need to get started on Twilight Princess. I hear so many good things about it.

I have played Twilight Princess at my fiance's house and Phantom Hourglass on my sister's DS(which I am stuck on). I'm addicted to it. I just love the storylines.
