So due to RL being a little crazy, I have missed most of the episodes. I have only managed to catch the pilot and this past week. I think I have managed to catch myself up, for the most part (thank goodness for this forum and all of y'all's great comments). I just have one question: Who is Syler? I have gathered that we don't seem to know too much about him, but what do we know?

I don't know that much about Sylar, either. It appears that he's another hero with extraordinary powers. And, he appears to be doing a lot of Mr. Bennet's dirty work (cleaning).

can someone tell me where i can buy the first season ? OR is it not available yet ?

We're still technically in the first season. Netflix had a promotional DVD available with the first half of the season, but I'm not sure if it's still available. I don't think it's available for purchase, only for rent.

ah yes i visited nbc, hows the ratings on this show ?

So it looks like we're not getting any new episodes until Season 3 premiers on Sept 1. Anyone heard anything to the contrary?

Also, if Season 2 is over, I looked to see if they are preselling DVDs, but I couldn't find it. There's only 12 episodes, so I don't know if they'd release it. Anyone know?
