All I can say is that last night's episode was frakking awesome! So what did anyone else think of this episode?
I thought that little manouver that Galactica pulled above New Caprica was totally unexpected and great to see.

I absolutely agree! Amazing and at some points very unexpected! Michael, you were brilliant as usual. The only thing I would like to have seen Sam do was *not* leave Starbuck when Kasey's mother claimed her. I know you're just doing what the writers and directors wanted you to do, but one would think that after a four month separation from one's spouse nothing would pry that person from their spouse's side. My own opinion of course. Otherwise it was bloody brilliant!

Good catch. It was an awkward moment to say the least and didn't quite make sense considering the extraordinary circumstances. Katee and I recall, at the time we shot that scene, that it felt strange to have my character ask who the girl was AFTER landing safely back on Galactica and then just shrug and move off. But to the defense of all parties involved, it was a huge shooting schedule that day, things were shot out of sequence, stuff was being added and subtracted and re-written on the spot, the director and writers and cast and crew had their hands full, we were all trying to "make the day" on time and some time in the haste of the moment the seemingly small details are less prioritized.
I hope this helps answer your question. Having said that....I cannot emphasize enough the level of professionalism and creativity this show and its crew consistently put out day after day, week after week. We're all only human (well some Cylon, maybe) and dealing with such a large cast and multiple intricate storylines can get complicated.

***Spoiler for those who have not yet seen Exodus PT2***

I was having a conversation with some people on another board who thought that when Anders said Tigh should take care of his wife meant that he should execute her. I said that I saw it a bit differently that he took it into his own hands and misread what Anders said.

What was the direction you took it? Apparently myself and a few others are in the minority that think Anders didn't mean for her to be killed outright and by Tigh's hand, and it was just showing how warped Tigh's mind had become. But looking back at the scene where Sam said for Tigh to take care of it or he would, now seems rather clear.

I thought it was exquisitely sad and poignant moment and brilliantly acted on all parts. I could go on and on but I won't bore you.

Well tonite's episode was definitely interesting. I was glad to see Anders walk out on the Circle when they got to Gaeta. I also was surprised at the way that Starbuck acted towards him when he pulled her aside.

Good ep...but frak! LOL Okay I'm just going to vent and btw spoilers ahead...

Okay so I get it that Kara's going through some major stuff. Anyone would, but to shove Sam away like that? I was staring at the set with my mouth hanging open hoping it was a momentary brain freeze on Kara's part. (not Katee of course ) But to tell him that she was in another place and that she wanted to scratch his eyes out? Hell of a thing for a wife to say to her husband! (and they are such lovely eyes at that...)

Michael...please tell us that that wasn't the end of Sam Anders. He's a wonderful character and I get the feeling (from a writer's POV) that the character wouldn't just so easily give up on something like a marriage. To me he seems to have much more spirit and honor in him than that. If anything I'd personally rather see him go out in a blaze of glory (if he has to go out at all) than to have Kara heartlessly cut him out of her life and go off on a vengeance rampage. I totally know its makes for wonderful angsty TV and all but...for this romantic heart it's so sad!

I absolutely agree with you, I was stunned and have been floating all over forums to try to find out whether Sam and Kara will get back together. I remember the episode when Lee and Kara almost hooked up and she later told him that she was in love with a dead man (Sam Anders). Then, when she found him again on the planet and brought him back to Galactica, it was a beautiful moment. Katee and Michael have such chemistry. How can the writers do this to us?

Michael,,, please throw us a bone! Is Sam's relationship with Kara completely over?

Well Sue...it's not lookin' too good for S and K, is it? Let's just say things are a bit volatile in the relationship but the return of Anders is likely....can't say 'when' yet but things certainly look complicated for these two.

Yup, that's enough to chew on. Thanks for sharing those details with us on their relationship. I'm glad that the relationship between the two won't be so easily resolved because that would be unrealistic if they just suddenly got back together and were happy once again.

Agreed Joel and it's much better drama which is what this show we all love is all about! What I'd like to see is how this is affecting Sam while we see how Starbuck is handling things, it's be great to see what Sam is going through. Where is he staying? What is he doing with his time?

What would you see him doing Michael? LOL I know it's a theoretical question but I've been curious about the deeper characteristics of Samuel T. Anders.

Gotta say, I think it's wicked that you post here and keep people updated as well as exchanging with your fans!

Not many people do that anymore these days.

Anyway, BSG stopped showing here after Season 1 but I was so hooked that I started watching it on the Net, am a day or two behind now on episodes, but God, I love BSG to bits, and am also a Fan of OTH

So Uncle Cooper and Sam Anders were just an added bonus, which means you got a new German Fan!

Be proud of that cuz I am always glad when it's weekend and I can watch another episode.

Thanks for giving us hope and could you maybe drop a smallish hidden hint for OTH, too? *whistles then runs*

Hey, I just caught that myself! Way to rock BSG!!

I saw the AFI list, too. Any time BSG is honored I'm happy. I've got my fingers crossed for the Golden Globes. Man, what a show.
I had to seek out this forum after last week's episode. I felt physically ill after the "boots" scene with Starbuck. I thought MT did a great job portraying that feeling. I adore the Sam Anders character (actually, all the cast; the writers are amazing-ok so are the actors). And he's a regular for season 4?! I can't believe I didn't hear that yet-yay! I'm anxious for them to delve further into the character.
The cast & crew seem like such a great bunch of people, a lot of fun to work with. Battlestar is by far the best show on TV right now. Thanks for your contribution to the dynamic of the show Michael!

I thought the scene was very well played by both of them. Good reactions from both. Now did Kara cheat on Sammy or is he making it up to spite Lee and get his wife back? I can't wait to see the next episode. Jan 21? Are the frAkin kidding us?

I'm of two minds on Sam's line about Lee not being the first.

On the one hand, he could have just been taking the mickey and making Lee not feel special (which is understandable).

On the other, he could have 1. figured out Kara had sex before proposing, 2. overheard the Leoben conversation (likely), and/or 3. Kara really did cheat on him during the year on New Caprica.

I'm not saying she was the whore of Babylon, but Kara Thrace likes sex and danger, and she's an adrenaline junkie. Having sex with a man not her husband? Guilty pleasure, and the danger of being caught would add spice (heh. How amused am I that Kara is basically treating Lee like another piece of meat on the side?).

Kara IS emotionally-frakked up, and Sam gets that way better than Lee does.

January can't come too soon.

Oh man what a great episode! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time and Michael, you were HOT! Not just in looks, but great acting as well! All the emotional twists and turns...I couldn't believe an hour went by so quickly! Now we have to wait over a month til we see what all happens to Starbuck, and if the nukes are going to be sent into the temple...it was great!

So question Michael, just how tall are you? 6'3", 6'4"? My hubby is 6'8" but you didn't look *quite* that tall

I don't feel sorry for Dee. She knew she was 2nd choice for Apollo. The self pitying and sobbing makes me feel sick. She should confront Apollo or leave him. At least Sammy is doing something and he has accepted he is 2nd in Starbucks heart and he does challenge Apollo. Btw, who'd for real choose Apollo over Anders?

Not me! I like tall men Besides Lee may be good looking and well tuned, but Sammy is RIPPED! (Boy am I glad that no one knows me in RL cos I'd die of embarrassment at a statement like that )
