Just wanted to say hello to everyone. I just joined the group. My brother has been trying to get me to watch BSG for 2 years now and I resisted. I finally watched the miniseries and loved it. I moved on to the series, catching up on all 39 episodes in 3 weeks and am fully engrossed in this show! I hate waiting a whole week to see a new episode, as I was watching 2 or 3 a night. There's not much need to mention that the Chief is my favorite character - that's why I joined this group. I find Aaron fascinating to watch on screen. He has some subtle, brilliant moments, and that’s what I love about his acting. I have been reading all of your encounters. How lucky! I hope I can join the list next year. In a painful twist of irony, I live in Burbank, CA, about 3 miles from the Hilton and I had not yet seen BSG or become a fan. Now, two months later, I could just kill myself for bad timing! Also, I was reading a post from Aaron on the BSG board regarding a bad experience and methinks it was at the Burbank convention. So, I guess I’ll have to fly somewhere to meet him. Well worth it, it seems. I have a few quick questions. How tall is Aaron? He seems to be about 6 feet or so. Does anyone know his ethnic background? I dig the photo of him in a kilt and I just happen to be of Scottish decent (haggis anyone?). Lastly, I only rented the series to watch them all. I was wondering if they are worth buying for the commentaries, etc. Do the DVD sets have a lot of deleted scenes? I know there is an extended version of the "Pegasus" episode. I also thought that the "Resurrection Ship Part 2" episode seemed edited down. When we cut back from the opening credits we are immediately back in the brig. Poor Tyrol seems to be in bad shape, while Helo appears to be fine at that point. It seems that they'd been working Tyrol over for a bit. Did anyone else notice that? Is there an extended version of this one on the DVD set perhaps? And, wasn’t that a great episode? Best single line ever..”cowards,” way to go Chief! Keep posting those photos so I have something to look forward to (soon I hope). I'm happy to be a part of such a friendly and fun group. : )

Hi scteel, :wecome: to Aaron's board and to Media Blvd. We actually have an
Introduction thread and I moved your post over there. I'm going to close this thread since it is a duplicate.
If you have any questions, just let me know.
