I found a list of the best Stephen King books.

Do you agree? If not, what do you think are his best? Have any of you read his latest book, Lisey's Story? It got a great review in the Times,

I haven't read a lot of King novels but of those I have read, my favorite is Bag of Bones. It's one book I'd love to see made into a movie or tv series. Especially to see the scenes played out from the cabin on the lake.
I have also read the reviews on Lisey's Story and I plan to read it as soon as I can get a hold of it.

Have you ever read Cell, his second to last book? They're going to be making that one into a movie.

I'm a big fan of Bag pf Bones as well, it really showcases his ability to write in several different syles all in the same novel. The story really broke my heart, and I love it for that.

As to his newer works, I've become rather disenchanted with those. I haven't yet read Cell, but I do intend to pick it up before the movie comes out.

Girlfriend_in_a_coma, just out of curiousity...is your username a shout out to the Douglas Coupland novel?

It's a shout out to the Smiths song (which the Coupland novel's title was in turn a shout out to). I've never read the book, but great song!

How does everybody feel about The Stand? I've never read it, so no spoilers please.

Cell was an alright book. Too much of a same scene kind of story once you get out of the gory beginning. I haven't read The Stand either. I've only seen clips of the movie as well. I can't wait to read Lisey's Story. I've heard great reviews so far.
