Any fans of Stephenie Meyer's books? I bought them last week & loved them!
If you've read, which one is your favourite?
Who are your favourite characters?

I've never heard of her, but I see that two of her books are availible on Audiobook: "Twilight" and "New Moon". Have you read either of these? Which one do you like better?

I hadn't heard of her before I saw that you had read Twilight. I looked it up on Amazon and it sounds pretty good so I might try to get it at the library next week. I trust your judgment since you and I seem to like a lot of the same stuff

Did you know that Twilight was voted the number 2 on The American Library Association's "Teens' Top Ten" poll? It was right behind HP and the Half Blood Prince

I loved Twilight so much I read it three times in 4 days. Crazy right? I never do that. If you read or listen to them, be sure to check out the Outtakes on Stephenie's official site.

Girlfriend_in_a_coma, I've read both. If you want to buy them read Twilight first because it introduces the characters.
Janelle, I think you'd love Twilight! I think you'd love Edward & Alice.

I never got a chance to get to the library to get Twilight but I did put it on my Christmas list. I have decided though if no on buys it for me I am going to give it to myself as a present

Edited: I got the book for Christmas and read it pretty much in one day! I loved it and already ordered New Moon from Amazon.
Lisa ~ You are right I do love Edward and Alice

Has anyone else read Eclipse yet? It came out last week! I just finished it and loved it as much as the other two.

I'm so glad you loved it Janelle! I did too! I have a lot of friends that didn't like it at all so I'm happy to find out someone else did like it!
Here's my post from website about the book...
The majority of my friends list stated that they hated Eclipse and for some of them it was worse than New Moon so I was a little afraid to start the book. Now I feel weird because I actually loved Eclipse and am actually looking forward to reading the book again! I do feel nothing will compare to Twilight so I’m not even going to get into that.
Jacob. I really want to dislike him but I can’t. This weekend I ran into someone who used to be in my life and spent the whole time trying to figure out why he was reminding me of someone I read about. I went home and it hit me. He’s Jacob. The actions especially having the “emotional hero complex” and the height thing. Unfortunately now, every time I read about Jacob, I automatically think of this person which sorta sucks. Maybe that is why I can’t dislike Jacob. While he told Bella he loved her, did he ever say that imprinted Bella?
I feel little conflicted on the love triangle. I don’t love it but I don’t totally dislike it either. I do agree with Edward that because he left, part of that hole in Bella was filled by Jacob. I’ve always believed that you might have more than one Soul Mate out there. Not something any of my friends would expect me to say!
I didn’t think the book dragged–I feel like there was so much going on, that I missed things. I found myself re-reading certain scenes just like I did with Twilight. The only part is…I’m not totally looking forward to Bella becoming a vampire. I can’t see where the story would go from there at all. But at the same time, I can’t see where it will go if she doesn’t become one!
I’m very happy that we know more about Jasper and Rosalie. But I do wish that we could see more of the Cullen’s interaction with Bella especially since they are referred to as her future family. I know the bond is implied but I want to actually see some of it beyond when something bad is happening.
I’m a little confused on why Bella had the dream about Rosalie attacking Billy Black as a wolf. So far haven’t all of Bella’s dreams had some sort of foreshadowing? Or am I reading too much into things? I felt like the knife part had something to do with Bella needing to be like the third wife. But I don’t understand why Billy Black was the wolf or where Rosalie came into the picture.
The main “conflict” (ie who is causing it) was too predictable.
BTW, reading Stephenie Meyer’s books while at work is not a good idea. While at home, I can sigh, squee, talk to the characters, be shocked or excited. At work, trying to keep that in is so hard!

After re-reading the book for the second time I came to the conclusion that I'm looking forward to Jacob imprinting on someone. After the way he was with Bella despite his jealousness because of her relationship with Edward, I think he'd just be a great boyfriend. He just needs to mature a little.
The one part of the book I had problems with reading the first time was the Epilogue. I think because the narration changed to Jacob. The second time I read it, it was easier to see Jacob as the narrator.
I know Stephenie is doing a book of Twilight from Edward's point of view. Do you think she'll do one from Jacob's point of view? Not necessarily based on one of the current books but maybe after Bella becomes a vampire?
Anyone read Twilight fanfic? If so can you recommend any stories?

That is exactly how I felt after I finished reading Twilight! I got it for Christmas and ended up being mad at myself for not asking for New Moon too, lol.
I am now not so patiently waiting for Breaking Dawn to be released. I hate the waiting!

I've read all three now, thanks to my hubby who bought them for me. I've completely fallen in love with Edward but I adore Alice too. I liked the book so much that I got the audio book from the library to listen to when I'm cleaning or driving. It would have been nice if they'd had a male voice for Edward though.

I introduced my high school aged cousin to the series this summer. She's read them multiple times now. I think I'm in trouble with her mom (my aunt) for getting her into them!

My cousin emailed me last week to tell me she's going to make us t-shirts that say, "Blondes may have more fun but Edward prefers brunettes" I can't wait to get it!

I respectfully disagree about Robert Pattinson as Edward he just doesn't look the part.....

BTW Rein any updates on the casting of Jasper last I heard you told me Taylor was up for the role?

I have to say when I started reading these books, I didn't think I would get as addicted to them as I have. There is so much about this story that reminds me of Roswell season 1. Can't wait for the movie to come out.

The first chapter of BD is included as a special feature in the special edition of Eclipse.
I've been reading The Host as well, but I don't like it as much as the Twlight series.
