I have to say this was one of those really good films, IMO that leave you going "I want more" after 2 hours and 36 minutes, it's up there film wise in my top 10 and Jake's performance is a good one.
Though I might be a tad biased, comparing it to all the other films out there from book to film I thought that this version of the Zodiac Killer events was very accurate in corresponding with Robert Greysmith's novels.
I definately agree with your review Pixie Queen!!! I haven't read the book myself but I thought that the movie was well directed and the acting impeccable especially for Jake

As the new moderator of the board I've decided to write little movie reviews of his movies. I'll keep them short though as to not contain spoilers! Ya'll can tell me what you think and if you agree or not!!!!
The movie “Zodiac” could be considered a time period piece about a serial killer in the late 1960s through the 1970s. Starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Mark Ruffalo, Anthony Edwards and Robert Downey Jr, the ensemble cast investigates the killings covering over four years. The movie is less about the Zodiac himself and more about each character’s obsession in finding the killer, especially more so Robert Graysmith (Gyllenhaal). The investigation starts out innocently, and then turns into a life long goal for Graysmith to where he eventually draws away family and friends following minute events that might lead him to the killer.
The movie is quite long, two and a half hours, but is worth sitting through. Rather than being an action suspense thriller, it is more of a detective/investigative thriller including more talk than action. It is difficult at times to follow the evidence and pieces, but the events follow through in the end rounding itself out.
