Has anyone read anything by Philippa Gregory? I just finished reading her book The Other Boleyn Girl. I loved it! I've got a question though. Why was it so hard to conceive a child back then? So many babies died, and mothers dying in childbirth was very common. What advancement in health led this trend to stop?
I just started reading The Boleyn Inheritance.

I'm sorry, but I'm really surprised that no one has read anything by Philippa Gregory! I'm really astounded! I'm reading my third books of hers currently, "The Queen's Fool". I recommend you check her out. Start with The Other Boleyn Girl, I think. You know, that's being made into a movie starring Natalie Portman, Scarlett Johanssen, and Eric Bana. Oh yes it is. So why don't you read the book first, because if you see the movie first, you'll spoil it for the book. So get on top of that, right away. If you prefer, you can listen to the audiobook version, but it's only availible on iTunes.
