hey michael
just wanted to congratulate you on the outstanding performances you've given on the sci-fi series. what a great opportunity you've landed to work on such a captivating and complex program with such phenomenomal actors from both the united states and the united kingdom. it seems such a shame that, despite the show garnering critical acclaim and broader audience (of which i should include myself because i'm not a huge sci-fi fan), it has yet to win an emmy nod. who knows, tho, huh?
was it a bit nervewracking when you began the role in the second season? how do you feel about how your part has developed as conflict has progessed?
what has it been like to work with actors such as edward james olmos, mary mcdonnell and jamie bamber?
what has reception been like for the show overseas, i.e., in the uk?
thanks for taking the time! i'm really looking forward to seeing how your career moves along.

Hey Jonathan,
Thanks for stopping in and for the post. It's nice to hear the support for the show. I wouldn't hold my breath as far as Emmy nods go though.....BSG is the unfortunate victim of its own genre: Sci-Fi. It's just not a field that the Emmys ever take into consideration. Too bad, too 'cause it's a hell of a show with some outstanding actor and I'm lucky to be a part of it. I love the complexities they've written for me in the past season and I hope the writers continue to delve a little deeper into the psyche of Anders in the future. I haven't been to the UK recently to witness firsthand, but I believe the show is very well received there. I might be attending a convention in London in the first week in August so I guess I'll get a sense for it then.
Thanks again.
Cheers, Michael

Newbie here...just wanted to express how great I think Sam Anders' character is on BSG. Subtle, grounded, and real in every way...and among the current angst-y atmosphere of the show, he's a welcome presence. I'd guess it would be tough sometimes to make the most of a "strong-and-silent" type role when there are other actors on the show going through every emotional swing imaginable in their roles! But Sam has become a terrific counterpoint to all the drama, and we're seeing exactly why Kara stays with him (I mean, besides the obvious reason of being the hottest guy on the show!!).
Michael, keep it up-I hope we see a lot more of Sam, and you!

hey michael
thanks for taking the time to reply, man.
hope you get the chance to attend that conference in london. what a great city! i miss it, in fact, because i spent a year there in 2004-05 and had the opportunity to get around a bit to explore when i wasn't studying. it's da bomb, to say the least. but i'm back out in sunny -- relatively -- california now and back at work.
good luck with everything. will definitely keep my eyes peeled for you on the small and big screens.

Hi all!! Newbie here! Just wanted to say that BSG improved a lot since they brought Anders in and together with Kara! I'm so looking forward to Season 4 how it all will end up. Final Five,Colonial Fleet finally reaching Earth.
Awesome job Michael

I definitely gonna owe you a drink if your character as Anders won't play a major role to the entire outcome of Galactica's odysee!!! Keep up the brilliant work..
So say we all!!

Hey I'm a newbie here, too. I come from Germany, we have there a great Fan-Community.
BSG is the best SciFI-Show I've ever seen. And as Jamie Bamber said: "Either you don't know BSG or you love BSG." I think that's true. Who cares, what those award-people think, as long people keep watching it!!! I'm still angry about, that it seems like no one was watching "firefly". I think the best show I've ever seen (except BSG of course), although these both shows are hard to compare with each other.
Ok Michael I love you at the show and I hope there's a chance for us german fans to see you at a fedcon in Bonn next year!!!!

Firefly was such a good show! So funny. I wish they would pick it up again.
I´m sad this is the last season of BSG, but at the same time I think it is story-wise to do it.

I think so, too. It is better, but what to do after???? Ok I hope, that Caprica, the new series, can fill the lack!!!
