Low Fat Kitty Cookies

1 c. whole wheat flour
1/4 c. soy flour
1 tsp. catnip
1/3 c. water
2 tbsp. wheat germ
1/3 c. powdered milk
1 tbsp. Unsulphured molasses
3 tbsp. Unsweetened applesauce

Preheat oven to 350. Use ungreased baking sheets.
Mix all the ingredients together and roll out flat.
Use a small, floured cookie cutter or break into bite size pieces.
Bake for 20 - 30 minutes. Let cool.
Store in airtight container.

Crunchy Apple Dog Cakes

2 3/4 c. water
1/4 c. unsweetened applesauce
1/4 tsp. vanilla
4 c. whole wheat flour
1 c. fresh minced or crushed dried apple chips
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 light beaten egg
4 tbsp. honey

Preheat oven to 350. Coat mini muffin pans with non stick cooking spray.
Mix all the wet ingredients together thoroughly. Set aside.
Combine all the dry ingredients in a separate bowl.
Slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, scraping the sides
of the bowl well to make sure no dry mixture is left.
Pour batter into the muffin tins.
Bake for 35 - 40 minutes, or until a tester comes out dry.
Store in a sealed container.

Cheesy Hound Rounds

1/2 cup low-fat cheddar cheese (shredded)
1/2 cup low-fat cottage cheese
2-1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 cups white flour
3/4 cup peanuts
1/4 cup water

Mix together cheddar cheese, flour, cottage cheese, oil, and peanuts.
Add water and stir. Break off golf ball size pieces and shape into
rounds. Place on a baking sheet that has been sprayed with a non-stick
spray. Bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes. Makes about 24 balls. Cool
and serve. Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator.

Kitty Mouseburger Bites

3 oz sausage meat or finely ground beef
2 tablespoons oatmeal
1 egg
whisker of catnip, finely chopped

Knead the ingredients together very thoroughly and form into a flat
oval. Broil under a medium heat for 5-7 minutes, turning frequently,
until the outside is crisp. Wait until cool, then slice into bite-sized
chunks.
