The horror nutbags at HorrorMovies.ca had a chance to take a tour of the set of The Eye and not just that but interview Jessica Alba and even share her fries. Sounds like Alba is a super cool chick. Alessandro Nivola (Grace Is Gone) and Parker Posey (Superman Returns) will join Jessica Alba in the English-language remake of the Pang Brothers' thriller The Eye. Lionsgate are hoping to get the movie in theatres on October 12, 2007.

The original film directed by The Pang Bros. was a brilliant film that told of a young woman who had been given the ability to see after an eye transplant. It seems that whenever you get something from someone else its never a good deal. Soon she begins to see dead people around the hospital and she must discover whos eyes she has recieved.

The remake will be adapted by Sebastian Gutierrez and Hillary Seitz. Directing the film will be another tag team of David Moreau and Xavier Palud. With the ultra hot Jessica Alba in the cast this movie is definetly going to sell some tickets whether it is good or not. If the movie is even half as sexy as Jessica Alba it will sweep the Oscars

By the third time Hayden Christensen runs screaming down the same stretch of orange hallway at New York's Bellevue Hospital Center for the rolling cameras, his bright blue hospital scrubs are darkened with sweat and he looks ready to be committed.

In his nightmare thriller Awake, first-time writer-director Joby Harold takes audiences on an abstract journey through the consciousness of Clay (Christensen), a heart transplant patient who is paralyzed yet able to sense pain while under the knife. "It's called anesthetic awareness," says Harold, leaning over a monitor. "Here, he's experiencing being cut, and he's running to different places inside his mind, trying to find a place to deal with the pain."

Satisfied with the take, Harold calls for the next scene, which offers Christensen the respite of lying on a stretcher. Jessica Alba, who plays Clay's wife, leans over to whisper words of comfort before he's wheeled away to the operating table. "He's looking for a happy place, and the place he goes is back to where we fell in love," says Alba. Looks like the operation won't be the first time the poor guy lost his heart. —Ryan Devlin

Dan Gross reports Paul Rudd ("The 40-Year-Old Virgin") will appear with director David Wain as the Philadelphia Film Festival opens tonight with two screenings of "The Ten," at 6 and 8:30 at the Prince Music Theater (1412 Chestnut). Philadelphia - Philadelphia Film Festival's opening gala starts off with a laugh and a bang for your buck with Daid Wain's film "The Ten," a humorous farce loosely based on the Ten Commandments given to Moses in Biblical times. Though supposedly chosen in appreciation for the film festival's scheduling between Passover and Easter, reviewers warn that those ahering to strict ethical codes or those with an aversion to a moral sin or two should give this one a miss. "The Ten" is buoyed by star appearances by Gretchen Mol, Liev Schreiber, Winona Ryder and Jessica Alba, who spice up the drama and lend stardom to the film, but critics warn that the connection between the ten commandments and the plot is often hanging by a thread. Still, "The Ten" promises laughs, shock value and a constant variety of visual gags throughout the series of vignettes, lightly pasted together by narrator Paul Rudd.
"The Ten" enjoys its East Coast Premier in Philadelphia tonight, with two back-to-back screenings at the Prince Music Theater, followed by a gala at the new Penthouse Lounge & Grille in Northern Liberties. Sponsored by Sundance Channel and produced by Cashman & Associates, the Opening Night Party features "bubblegum pop" music spun by indie rock frontman Stephin Merritt, of the Magnetic Fields and DJ Jesse Fuchs. The stars of American superhero film Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer are the latest celebrities confirmed as presenters at next week's Logie Awards in Melbourne.

Hollywood pin-up Jessica Alba will be joined by her co-stars Michael Chiklis and Ioan Gruffudd on what has become a star-packed line-up for this year's ceremony to promote the June 21 Australian release of sequel to 2005's Fantastic Four.

Australian actress Rachel Griffiths and NCIS actor Michael Weatherly will also present awards while Canadian popstress Avril Lavigne, British heartthrob James Morrison and 2006 Australian Idol winner Damien Leith have been confirmed to perform.

The 2007 Logie Awards will be held on Sunday, May 6, at Crown Entertainment Complex in Melbourne and televised on the Nine Network.

A telling peek at Invisible Girl's return

It's been about two years since we last saw Jessica Alba in pretty much every other movie out there.

So naturally the hard-working actress is back in a passel of 2007 releases, including the late-summer comedies "Good Luck Chuck" and "The Ten."

But we'll be seeing the most of her as, ironically, the Invisible Girl in "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer," the June 15 sequel to 2005's Marvel Comics hit.

In this one, Sue Storm's wedding to Reed "Mr. Fantastic" Richards is crashed by the celestial herald of worldwide destruction. Sounds like a bummer, but that may actually be good news for comic book fans who didn't care for the first "FF" movie's jokey take on the genre.

"It's more mature, it's more complex," Alba says of the sequel. "There's definitely a lot more action, a lot more going on. But yeah, there's still humor in it. The Fantastic Four is a family of superheroes, so we haven't lost why it's so endearing. But this one's definitely much more edgy and dramatic."

Alba says shy Sue really comes into her own as a superheroine this time around, too.

"We have, like, a funny exchange of powers, and I get to do a little more action than I did in the last one," TV's erstwhile Dark Angel reveals. "It's more computer-generated than labor-intensive. But I do a lot more things with my force field, and my character ends up being the most powerful of the four."

She doesn't let that go to her head, though.

"Sue's much more confident and secure now," Alba says. "But I love that she's the sole woman in a team of male superheroes, and you can see that she's the most caring and supportive.

"And she's still the voice of reason in the group of boys. She's the only one who kind of thinks before she goes into action. As soon as they see something's wrong, the boys jump right in. Sue's sort of the one that weighs the consequences. She's, like, 'We threw around five police cars yesterday while you were saving the world, and now the city's charging us for 10!' "

HOLLYWOOD hottie Jessica Alba brought wolrd class sex appeal and charm to Darlinghurst tonight as she spruiked her latest flick, Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer.

Loaded with confidence, Alba breezed into town with her Fantastic Four co-stars Ioan Gruffudd, Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis, to promote the second instalment of the superhero family franchise.

Speaking at Will and Toby's tonight, she said she had already done some shopping since landing - and her main plan was to eat some pavlova.

"I love Australia. We had a great time here last time, and the shopping is great," she laughed.

"I have actually already done some shopping and plan to do some more. I am also going to eat some pavlova because that's very Australian. Aussie Aussie Aussie, oi, oi, oi."

The Fantastic Four crew were here in 2005 to promote the original film, making this Jessica's second visit to Sydney.

Since her rise to fame on US television series Dark Angel in 2002, the 26-year-old has created a league of her own, avoiding the path of self-destruction chosen by fellow celebrities Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohen and opting for a drama-free lifestyle.

Staying out of trouble has not, however, stopped her being voted the world's sexiest woman in plenty of polls.

"I am really proud of Jessie because she is kind of like a kid sister to me and I am proud of the way she conducts herself," said Alba's Fantastic Four co-star Chiklis.

"Too often when you are a young lady on the rise in Hollywood it can be too much, too soon.

"But she's made a conscious effort to conduct herself with class, dignity and grace. She sets herself apart from the rest (of the actresses her age). It's hard to find decent role models like her."

The sequel, which heralds the return of Australian actor Julian McMahon as the fantastic four's evil rival Victor Von Doom, will be released nationally on June 21.

An exclusive "first look" preview was unveiled by the stars at Moore Park's Entertainment Quarter tonight.

The actors who play the family members and friends who form the Fantastic Four – Ioan Gruffudd (Reed Richards/Mr Fantastic), Chris Evans (Johnny Storm/Human Torch), Michael Chiklis (Ben Grimm/The Thing) and Alba (Susan Storm/Invisible Girl) – appeared at Hoyts Entertainment Quarter, next to Fox Studios, to present a 20-minute preview of the unfinished film.

They then used either their celebrity superpowers or chauffeurs to reach a second photo call at trendy Oxford Street hang-out Will and Toby's.

Chiklis predicted the latest adventures in the sci-fi action thriller will eclipse the solid box office success of the first offering.

"It's bigger, it's better, it's faster and more exciting," he said.

"We built a great audience with the first one and now we want to give them even more action. Fans won't be disappointed."

In the second FF movie, the awesome foursome meet their greatest challenge yet when they battle the infamous and very cool, 'Silver Surfer'.
