The Doctor and Martha are transported into danger

Season 3 with David Tennant as The Doctor and Freema Agyeman new companion, Martha Jones.



I'm excited Hurray. BBC isn't giving much summery on their page BUT now we USers can see video on the BBC site. It's always been blocked before. I guess they realize it's best to feed into any and all interest. Plus, people would out it on Youtube anyway

OMG! Brilliant! I love Freema, flirty, sassy smart, very pretty. I think they have great chemistry. Great special effects, love the doctor doing the radiation dance "Barefoot on the Moon" "You're mad!" I was so upset over the sonic screwdriver

I loved Rose, I really did, but I never really loved the chemistry between she and Ten. I didn't like that much romance for the doctor and companion. flirty yes, and clearly these two are flirty.

The only thing I'm not that happy about is Martha's familly. There is a lot of them so I'm expecting deaths this season None of them come close to Jackie and Pete, heck, I don't even see a Mickey.

I'm glad they did comment on Rose. I'm OK with them showing that messed him up loosing her.

I'm glad he didn't beg Martha to come with him like he did with at first with Rose and even Runaway Bride chick. It breaks my heart to see him that vulnerable. Did the old Doctor's do that?

OK someone explain the "Planet Zovirax" bit. It went over the american's head

OK two callbacks from Series 1 and 2. One, the Doctor grabbing Martha's hand and running down the corridor echoing Rose and CE first ep. Two, the Doctor being so delighting at the "little shop" in the hospital, and of course, the setting being a hospital at all.

ALSO when the Doctor is squating beside the Slab {or whatever the name was} the fully leather thing and he says " someone has a hell of a fettish" all I could think abotu were Ten's bare feet

Did the Doctor say he HAD a brother?

The Sonic Screwdriver burning out nearly broke my heart. My kid, who has only watched a few eps, could not understand why I {and the Doctor} were so crushed

I really love the new Companion is so very different from Rose. Rose was young, uneducated, but all spunk and emotional logic. She had no real pull to earth except he Mum. I think that's why The Doctor was so taken with her. Rose was someone who, given the choice, really could have stayed with him her whole life. I think it's very telling Jackie told her at the end she was becoming "less human" hanging with the Doctor.

Martha is clearly from a wealthier family {altho very irritating} it looks like she's been able to achieve whatever she's ever wanted in life. Now suddenly she meets the Doctor and her world explodes. I think no matter what efforts she puts forth, she might not always get what she wants. Namely, the Doctor.

I can't place where this was in the ep (I only saw that ep twice and missed this reference both times...) but Zovirax is a cream over here for treating coldsores. Does that help?

I prefer Martha to Rose at the moment. I like her independence and the way she questions things. She's quick thinking as well. It'll be interesting to see how her unrequieted love for the Docotr is played out.

I was upset at the sonic srewdriver too. And then was miffed it was so easily replaced

Not sure I like Martha's family. They were a bit irritating.

as far as the brother thing. I'm being told Russel will be putting thing into the eps just to mess with fans. I'm betting that's one and if that is also true, he'd better be careful. The Lost guys have learned how bad it is to mess with fans.

'Smith And Jones' is a good episode. The Doctor come to the rescue, when aliens move a hospital off Earth to catch an alien vampire. These alien policemen frighten the humans, while on the hunt. It was clever of the Doctor to give up his life to stop the alien vampire. Of course, he doesn't stay dead, and get a new companion in the bargain.
