John in Columbia, South Carolina: Korbi, are you going to be watching Grey's this season? I know you made fun of it in the Quickie a couple of times last season. Just curious.

I'm definitely going to give it a shot. I ran into Chyler Leigh (aka Meredith Grey's half sister, aka Carla on Reunion!) at TCA, and she said things may be a bit different this year: "Last season was kind of depressing, even [creator] Shonda [Rhimes] said it. She was kind of burning all the characters down, so this is kind of the redemption of all those characters. People can expect the fun Grey's again this year." Regarding her new series-regular status, she says she hopes to be in every episode this season. She believes that's the plan, but you don't really know until you get each script. She's slowly trying to prepare herself for the instant fame the show is sure to bring. "It's interesting, because even with just the two and a half minutes that I was on [Grey's Anatomy] this last season, people already hate me! It's unbelievable. I'm getting threats!" She's thrilled to be on the Seattle Grace team, though, and is excited about her storyline: "The idea is that I'll kind of be representing the intern world and then dipping in and out of everyone else's storylines."

I like the sound of that nod.gif. With the whole "redemption" for the characters, and getting back to Grey's roots(granted I think it will take a good five episodes to get to there lol.gif ) grin.gif. Poor Chyler on the threats no.gif. Such a cruel internet world no.gif.

Question: Please give us some good Grey's Anatomy news for a change.— Jill
Ausiello: Ask and you shall receive: Sources confirm that newly minted Emmy nominee Elizabeth Reaser is returning to Grey's this fall as Alex's erstwhile Jane Doe. An exact episode count is still being worked out, but my spy tells me it's "definitely more than one." Best. News. Ever.

Question: Now that you're back from TCA, what is your opinion about the future of George and Izzie on Grey's Anatomy?— Jane
Ausiello: Based on those scathing focus groups and Shonda Rhimes' less-than-enthusiastic comments at press tour, it's safe to say that the nightmare is over. In fact, I'm hearing Rhimes may stick a fork in Gizzie in the season premiere when (Spoiler alert) the ex-platonic pals are forced to examine their relationship while tending to an, um, unusual patient: a deer. That's right, an injured deer will be admitted to Seattle Grace. What will Shonda think of next?!

Yay!! On the return of Ava hurray.gif. The deer we already knew about due to an early set report lol.gif. Other than that his "opinion" I don't take as very credible since he noticebly omitted the "soulmate" line from his report, and how much bias he has against O'Stevens nod.gif.

Regardless, I think, to a degree, he is right there will be a "fork" in O'Stevens since Izzie is the female doctor being told to date by Verreen's character in 4.02. So what happens in the premiere would have to set-up the dating game storyline for Izzie nod.gif. So it would match the timeline of events nod.gif. Does that mean the ship is over? Who knows, but I'm still hoping Shonda sticks to her guns just on principle nod.gif. If I'm in denial, then so be it nod.gif lol.gif. I'll deal since I'm a multi-Izzie shipper nod.gif. Just as long as Izzie will be happy with herself, with someone who will accept her for who she is, and treats her well nod.gif. So if that lucky soul is Alex or Mark, then I hope it will be a great, happy storyline for her nod.gif.
Isabel Anne Evans
Well, Mark and Izzie are working together in 4.02 wink.gif. They could be setting that ship up especially when the topic of dating is being brought up to Izzie nod.gif shrug.gif. But I take it that's a no on Alex then?

Here is a better clarification on the details of 4.03 from BuddyTV
QUOTE
GREY'S ANATOMY: In episode 4.03, a mother, Marcy, brings her 15-year-old son Henry to the hospital because she suspects his change in behavior may be due to drugs. When the test results show that Henry is not on drugs, the doctor working the case tries to reassure Marcy by telling her he is going through adolescence. But things go awry when the teen starts to speak nonsense and collapses. A patient named Connie is in for surgery to remove a cancer in her vocal chords. Before the operation, she tells two of her best friends stuff she has on her mind since it may be the last time she'll talk. What she has to say is not pretty (your breath stinks, you look fat in those pants, etc.). When she comes back from surgery, her friends decide to return the "favor" and tell Connie that she has terrible taste in men. Not to worry, all friends will kiss and make up!

I believe Henry is a clinic patient nod.gif. The other patient actually sounds kinda amusing due to the clarification, but also reflective of what is happening with the Original Interns especially if speculated right all hell breaks loose when O'Stevens affair becomes public knowledge nod.gif.

GREY'S ANATOMY: It's not 100% certain since the test audience didn't like that storyline much... but that doesn't mean it will never happen. Maybe the writers will just plan the hook up differently.

Phoenix said: Will merder get back together in the begining of season 4?
GREY'S ANATOMY: Unknown. My personal guess would be that IF they get back together, it will take a few episodes.

lovabletvfreak said: on grey's anatomy: are george and callie still together and do you know anything about george being an intern again??
GREY'S ANATOMY: George will be an intern again. I'm pretty sure he won't find it fun to be bossed around by people who used to be his peers! As for George/Callie, the jury is still out... well, Shonda Rhimes probably made the decision but she ain't sharing! Nor will she say if George/Izzie will remain even though people didn't like that match up.

Lunaticbabe said: On the Grey's Writers Blog it says that they have new plans for McSteamy. Any idea what that might be?
GREY'S ANATOMY: Nope as spoilers for that show are almost the best guarded ones.

Episode 4.04 is entitled The Heart Of The Matter
Isabel Anne Evans
Here is a summary of the sides for 4.04 "The Heart Of The Matter". I didn't interpret them this time, but another poster did.
QUOTE
Summing up sides for episode 4. The whole theme is dynamics of parental love and romantic love. Dad obliges me to do things and I feel obliged, boyfriend wants to marry me only if I change, mommy and dad love me and try to save me. (yeah.. caries ahead. LOL)

Adam is the teenage boy who has a spine injury. He gets injured in a soccer action and his dad is blaming it on him because he didn't see the other player coming and should've blocked him, this would've avoided him getting his head hit. (Clearly absurd). The dynamic is the kid feels the dad always obliges him to do things because he is his coach too and put him on the team before time and always expects him to do well no matter what.

He is Derek's patient. The other doctor with him may be Meredith, but I'm not so conviced as whoever the doctor is talks in a very determined manner to the boy "You can do this. You don't want your dad to be right" .. to me it sounds more like Alex than Meredith. But still, could be any of the two. The dad is an ass, says his son can take anything, the son says "Obviously not". This is when they discuss the treatment and Derek tells them it can be painful and long.

They drill the kid's skull and they need him to resist with weights and that's when he says he can't make it and whoever is the doctor with Derek tells the boy "You can do this Adam. Come on, anybody who's been weight training since they were six can do this". And to me this sounds a lot more like Alex than Meredith. Then the doctor says "You don't want your dad to be right, do you? So prove him wrong ok?" And the kid goes "ok" and clearly manages to resist with all those weights. It could be both Meredith or Alex. I just have more of an Alex vibe on this one, but it may as well be Meredith.

Next case: Ruthie and Will are the two about to get married. Ruthie has broken her ankle. Callie clearly is on the case. Difficult to say who is with her. Could be Cristina, could be Meredith. It seems very clear to me that Callie at this point knows perfectly about Izzie and George, given what she says in sides and how she talks about getting married. The two people decided to get married but the woman had to lose a lot of weight and fit in her size 4 dress, and the marriage is ini April (!!!) so mind you, the timeline is completely SCREWED because they talk about her being in a cast 8 weeks and then having to recover and that they need to cancel the wedding. I'm gonna write this down and hold it against Shonda for her completely ****ed up timeline.

Anyway this Ruthie girl has broken her ankle because of too much dieting and too much exercising.. then she starts vomiting blood and Callie and whoever's working on it with her (Cristina or Meredith or Alex. I rule out Izzie this round) rush onto her. The patient dies.

Callie then goes out to talk to the boyfriend and tells him that the girlfriend has died and basically blames him for trying to change her and making her become unhealthy. And he says he loved her. She replies "No you DID NOT LOVE HER. BECAUSE YOU DON'T DESTROY THE PERSON YOU LOVE". Will tells Callie to get away from him and she goes "Because what, otherwise you'll hit me? Go ahead, gimme an excuse to kick somebody's ass today -- because I'm dying to". The other doctor on the case arrives and breaks the fight.

The set of sides for Ms Bitzer is absolutely stupid and has two interns telling her that she is terminally ill. Only to find out there was a mistake and she isn't, later. Meantime she's dumped boyfriend, given up her apartment, made all sorts of plans. I guess the big Shonda metaphor here is perspective. As in "what is it that you really want? if you were about to die, what would you do?". The way it's treated is quite stupid. Hopefully it'll be better during the episode. Still, it being with two new interns I am not even remotely interested in it. Probably one of them will be McSkipper.

Finally there's Arlene. A girl with a very loving family who's had cancer and who seems to have gotten it again, thus needs to do treatment again. She doesn't want to do it and the mother begs what sounds like her boyfriend to convince her. There are no doctors whatsoever in the sides so it's hard to tell who will do it. Given it's cancer (throat cancer again, like in epi 3, they have no fantasy making up stuff for sides even!) I would guess it must be Bailey or Richard and probably Izzie since she has to be kept away from Callie.

Callie definitely knows about the affair, and does go cagefighter on a patient's boyfriend. Very unprofessional for a Chief Resident...tsk tsk, but it's GA lol.gif. At least it's finally sinking into Callie that her and George aren't meant to be shrug.gif. That's how I'm interpretating it shrug.gif.

Question: Do you have any good Grey's Anatomy news for Mer/Der fans?— Lina
Ausiello: It appears they've dodged one bullet: I hear Lexie and Derek are not happening — at least not initially. Word around Seattle Grace is that Lexie is being paired with Alex. That should certainly make things interesting when Jane Doe/Ava/Rebecca reappears (possibly) around Episode 4.

Remember that Alex/Lexie rumbling I was telling you guys about earlier this summer wink.gif.

It's Izzie. With the deer. And her interns. This pic looks like it was taken as the actors were just goofing around rather than being an actual screencap (since they're all laughing, etc); despite being completely inaccurate, it seems like the residents will be having their own interns, too (note caption: "with our resident Katherine Heigl").

I hope this deer thing is being played for laughs only, because it won't work as High Drama. lol.gif IRL no doctor would ever attempt to put an IV in an animal or use paddles to bring it back to life.

lmao.gif @ Izzie with paddles on a deer. The faces of Izzie, and the other doctor is priceless lol.gif. I love it grin.gif.

Looking at the scene with the expressions of the characters the deer could be more of a comedy storyline in the beginning, and later turns into an emotional, sentimental one nod.gif shrug.gif.

This brought to mind a repeat episode of 'Crossing Jordan' that was on TNT a few weeks ago.
The head coroner and his daughter brought a deer back to life in the morgue with IV and mouth to mouth. Paddles is a bit much, but they played it straight on CJ.

Mom and I were shopping today and went in a uniform store. They had scrubs called 'Izzy' and the girl modeling them on the poster was making a silly lol.gif face like Katie does lol.gif

Some more info from Spoilerfix regarding the newbie interns, and Spoilerfix's interpretation of the sides for 4.04.

Episode 4.01: A Change Is Gonna Come
Airdate: September 27, 2007
QUOTE
We have some inside scoop on the new Grey's Anatomy interns who will be descending on Seattle Grace this season. Of course, we all know about Lexie played by Chyler Leigh (who will be a regular cast member this season). But what about the other newbie interns? Claire will be played by Tymberlee Chanel who is a relatively unknown newcomber to television save for two guest roles. The first was on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation this year and Numb3rs. Graciella is played by Gloria Garayua. She has had some guest starring roles in Cold Case, the ill-received 3 Lbs., Strong Medicine, Joey, Six Feet Under and others. Leo has had plenty of guest starring television roles as well, such as Dexter, That '70s Show, The X-Files and Sabrina, The Teenage Witch. But also a relative newcomber to the scene. As you may have noticed, these aren't the interns who were in the last episode of the last season! Those interns were played by Ajay Vidure, Candice Afia, Artie O'Daly and Joseph Williamson. No word if they will be showing up this season as well or not. We have also been told that one of the interns is going to try and pull a Cristina/Meredith and hook up with one of the McDoctors. Source: Spoiler Buzz [Note: Click on the source to see pictures of the interns and Izzie. The intern/McDoctor hook up will more than likely be with Mark since he is said to be getting more action this season.]

So if that buzz is true, then no Mark/Izzie no.gif. Unless it's a red herring for Mark/Izzie shrug.gif, however; if it's Mark/intern, then in 4.02 it's not Izzie who is asked to date but rather Mark. He is solo now. Soon find out lol.gif.

Episode 4.04: The Heart of the Matter
QUOTE
18-year-old Courtney learns that her cancer has came back and is getting worse. She is told of the options opened to her but she wants none of them. She wants to go back home and die there. Elsewhere, a woman who was told she was terminal and decided to end everything in her life (break up with her boyfriend, get rid of her possessions, quit her job) learns that she will live afterall. A woman named Ruthie comes to the ER because of an injured foot. The doctor learns that Ruthie has been on an extreme regime and training in order to lose 40 pounds. Ruthie and her fiancé Will admit that they agreed to get married when Ruthie lost 40 pounds. In exchange for the sacrifice, Will would quit smoking. The doctor tells the couple that, besides the foot injury, Ruthie has two other fractures. In order for the repairs to hold and recovery to be faster, she will need to eat. After vomiting, she is brough in surgery. Later, the doctor finds Will smoking. He says that Ruthie will forgive him. Thing is, Ruthie died because her body was too weak. The doctor calls Will on his need to make Ruthie be hot instead of accepting her for who she was.

Due to the other interpretation of the sides we know the doctor of Will and Ruthie is Callie.
Isabel Anne Evans
Here's another behind the scene close-up picture from the S4 premiere. This is newbie intern Leo
IPB Image
Here's another theory what if the intern/McDoctor isn't Mark/intern, but maybe Leo/Callie. Just a random thought shrug.gif.
Lori R
Very possible! Callie could be trying to get back at George for the Izzy moment. On Grey's you never know!
Isabel Anne Evans
Exactly nod.gif

IPB Image
There has been a lot of speculation on whether the person next to Izzie is a doctor assisting her, or one of her interns. According to Spoilerfix the person next to Izzie is one of her interns, and goes by the name Mitch Greenberg who is played by Richard Keith.

So thus far on our semi-regular intern list we have:
Leo
Mitch
Claire
Graciella

Series Regular intern list is still of course Lexie and George.

No spoilers from Kristin or Ausiello in their reports this week. Kristin comes back to work on Aug. 15th, so she will be taking over Monday's report once again.

The only thing Ausiello released yesterday was on his vodcast is when Callie will find out the truth. He gave three options to choose from:
A) She learns during Nov. sweeps
B) She learns in the first scene of the premiere
C) She learns in 4.03 episode entitled "Let The Truth Sting"

How did you find the play, or did the play find you?

John: The play found Kristin first.

Kristin: There's an actress named Zibby Allen on Grey's Anatomy, who's just been recently introduced as the one who's going to try to steal "McDreamy" away. She's a good girlfriend of mine and she had been offered the play in a workshop production of it in LA and she asked me if I'd read it and would come aboard.

I love new works, and was excited to sink my teeth into a play and as a musical theatre director, really help bring out the vibe and the feel of a play.

4.04 "The Heart Of The Matter" - Casting Side Update
QUOTE
Housekeeping Staffer - This is related to the Mrs. Blitzer case (the woman who was allegedly dying, gave up everything, and then the doctors find out that she isn't dying). Dr. Smith and Walters are arguing down the hallway. Dr. Smith (the sides indicate that she is a female - although the ortho that they tried to play off as male in the sides we are pretty sure has to be Callie, so it could be anyone) is yelling at Dr. Walters for not doing the "one thing" they were asked to do. They come upon Mrs. Blitzer's room and find the bed being made up by the Housekeeping Staffer, who tells them that Mrs. Blitzer left an hour ago. Dr. Smith is surprised that she's gone and has left the hospital. Dr. Walters responds asks Dr. Smith if they feel like yelling some more now.

Just a note: This may be one of those scenes where they are trying to hide what is actually going on. First off, they give a room number for the hospital room which they rarely do -2231- which actually sounds more like a room at the hotel than a hospital room. Secondly, they are referring to the woman as Mrs. Blitzer, when in her set of sides she was not married and broke up with her boyfriend. So, it may be EXACTLY as is, but it does seem fishy.

QUOTE
Ryan and Alie: We first meet Ryan in a scene between Dr. Swanson and Dr.Thomas. Dr. Swanson tells Dr. Thomas that there's a partially deaf boy looking for him. Ryan steps out from behind Dr. Swanson and says "Daddy?" to Dr. Thomas. Dr. Swanson gets a good laugh at Dr. Thomas' reaction and hands the kid a twenty for the good work. Ryan tells Dr. Thomas that he's not his father, but he wants him to fix his ears.

Dr. Thomas is sitting with Ryan in the conference room when Dr. Brown comes in. Ryan is obviously a bit of a charmer and a schemer, as we'll see more of. Ryan tells Dr. Thomas that Dr. Brown helped him find Dr. Thomas. Ryan tells the doctors that his mother works in the cafeteria and he'll go get her if they want. Dr. Brown notices a stack of bills and handwritten letters on the table, and Dr. Thomas tells her that they were written to him. Ryan's classmates took a collection and wrote letters to Dr. Thomas asking him to fix Ryan's hearing. Ryan read online how Dr. Thomas has been performing a surgery where hearing aids are implanted inside the ear, and he could hear better and look "cooler." He also thought if he came in with his little pile of money he could get Dr. Thomas to feel pity for him and do the surgery pro bono. Dr. Thomas hesitates, and Ryan volunteers that he almost got hit by a car several times on the way there because he couldn't hear. Dr. Thomas tells him that since a pro bono surgery involves more people than him and he can't ask anyone for favors because he's never done one for anyone once, so he can't call any in. When Dr. Brown sees the disappointment on Ryan's face she says that she can do it and make it happen.

Alie is Ryan's mother. It seems he didn't tell anyone who he was coming to see or why. She's also not a cafeteria worker.

Nurse Jolene - Dr. Swanson approaches Dr. Walters, smiles and greets her. Dr. Walters tells him not to smile at her. Nurse Jolene approaches and tells him not to smile at Dr. Walters, and not to smile at her, either. Dr. Swanson is confused unti the ladies explain that they compared notes and Dr. Swanson used identical moves on both of them. Dr. Swanson apologizes, and then the women inform him that there are other women and they have formed a club.

James - He is a business man in his 40's who is obviously nervous. Dr. Gardner approaches and he asks her to please remove his right ear as it is not his. It's causing him to lose sleep. He insists that he's not crazy, but he needs a surgeon to ds tcut off his perfectly healthy ear. Dr. Gardner refuses, but she obviously sends him home because in the next scene he's in a trauma room and has tried to cut off his own ear. Dr. Young in now there. They are discussing how to proceed and repair the damage, but the only thing James is concerned about is the fact that his right ear remain off. After surgery, when James wakes up he is not happy that the right ear is gone but then gets crazy about his LEFT ear and demands that IT be removed. Dr. Young tells Dr. Gardner to sedate James and call Psych (may have been a good idea for Dr. Gardner to START with that one).

Jack and Erin - Jack is an older man who needs a heart transplant. His daughter, Erin, is yelling at Dr. Cruse, who is wearing a Halloween costume (pigtails and freckles - always very confidence building for a doctor). It seems the hospital is short-staffed, and Jack's medication is late, there's no water by his bed, and his TV Remote is broken. Erin points out that in his weakened state he cannot do these things for himself. Jack asks his daughter to calm down, but Erin says its not too much to ask for basic care when the staff has time for Halloween Costumes (good point Erin!). Dr. Thomas intercedes and Dr Cruse is grateful.
Later on, Dr Cruse and Dr. Harrison break the news to Jack that his daughter Erin was injured by a Halloween prank gone awry - someone threw a brick and it went through her windshield and crushed her skull. She is now brain dead. Dr. Harrison says that it probably happened quickly and she felt no pain. Dr, Cruse mentions that Erin is a donor and Jack tells them to get out. Dr. Cruse leaves, but Dr. Harrison stays behind and offers to take Jack to his daughter. Jack is bereaved at the sight of his daughter, and sits with her while Dr. Harrison runs some final tests. Jack says to Dr. Harrison that he probably cannot understand how he can't just do what Erin wanted, but Dr. Harrison compassionately tells him that he cannot imagine what this must be like for Jack. Jack asks them to bring in the papers, and they can take Erin's organs.

Fingerless Guy - The genius patient of the episode. It seems that he thought carving a pumpkin with a chainsaw was a great idea, and severed his own finger. He wanted to win, he tells Dr. Harrison, who is obviously unimpressed but humoring the guy. He mentions how he was carving and then suddenly blood spurt out and got all over the pumpkin, which only made it look better for the competition. He tells Dr. Harrison that he had the finger, and that it got caught in his chainsaw which he brought to the hospital. Dr. Harrison tells him that the cut is not clean enough to repair the finger, but he is only interested in the fact that someone took his chainsaw (could this possibly be what James uses to cut his ear off?)

Spoilers for the Grey’s Anatomy fourth season

A new season of Grey’s Anatomy and some fresh new spoilers! Many of these will be in the season premiere September 27th, but some will obviously carry over for a few episodes, and some are rather obvious from how we saw the plot going in the season finale.

George decides to repeat his internship, meaning he’ll be with all the new interns including Lexie, Meredith’s half sister. No word on which new resident will have either George or Lexie, but we know it won’t be Izzie.

The rest of the former interns are now residents, and are having issues with having to report to Callie. You know this will create some killer scenes!

Meredith joins Cristina on her honeymoon before they both return to Seattle Grace two weeks after Burke walked out on Cristina. And yes, Burke has resigned (shocking!). And Meredith uses the time away to consider her own relationship with Derek.

Bailey is still pretty upset with Richard for chosing Callie for Cheif Resident and is struggling to find her place on the hierarchy of the hospital.

Richard takes Derek’s advice and decides to return to his position as Seattle Grace’ Chief. And he and Adele get back together.

After Addison leaves (for Private Practice), Mark tries to befriend Derek again… and it sounds as though his relationship with Meredith will also play a role in this.

Joseph Williamson (who played the hot intern in the season finale) will be returning as well. He has appeared in many other television shows including CSI: NY, House, Las Vegas, Veronica Mars and Gilmore Girls.

Jilly in Salem, Oregon: I need Grey's scoop. I'm dying here. Please help!
George is in truuuh-buuul! According to Sara Ramirez (Callie), "I don't want to tease about anybody else's character, because I don't want anyone getting mad at me, but my character, Callie, is finally going to admit to herself what's going on with the relationship with George, and she's going to do something about it."

Michelle in Berkley, Michigan: Can George still work at Seattle Grace now that he's failed his residency exam?
I’m hearing he repeats his internship—but this time he's at Sacred Heart with J.D. and Turk and the rest of the Scrubs gang! Just kidding on that second part. But how great would that be? I think George and Elliot would make babies.

Grey's Anatomy Season 4 Spoilers
Thursday August 23, 2007

Spoiler alert! The hot docs of ABC's Grey's Anatomy are back on September 27, and executive producer Krista Vernoff tells Us to expect loads of drama.

After being left at the altar, Cristina (Sandra Oh) returns from the honeymoon - she brought Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) with her - to find that ex-fiance Burke is nowhere to be found (costar Isaiah Washington was fired from the show following controversy over his use of a gay slur).

Also off to a rocky start?

George (T.R. Knight), who's dealing with the fallout from failing his intern exam.

"He's going to be Meredith's intern!" Vernoff dishes.

But, she hints, the group will find time to, ahem, play doctor: "Grey's wouldn't be Grey's without some heated romance!"

Grain of the Salt Rumblings
These are the rumblings that came out today from a "supposed extra" on the set shrug.gif.

QUOTE
1) Meredith gets territorial over Derek, which amuses him to no end. By episode three, he's back at her place. And yes, there is sex. Shower sex.

2) Callie finds out about Gizzie in episode three which is aptly called 'Let the Truth Sting'. What she doesn't know is that George has made it very clear to Izzie that he loves his wife (he says it in the premiere. Izzie tells him that she's upset that she told him that she loves him and takes him to task for not saying anything back. George flashes back to the time that Callie said the exact same (almost) at the Prom and then looks at Izzie and says, "I love --- my wife. I love my wife, Izzie. She's Callie O'Malley and she's my wife." and walks away).

3) In episode four, Callie is dealing with Gizzie, dealing with a problem patient, and trying to avoid George. She winds up blowing a gasket at the patient's fiance and Alex overhears it. You are not going to believe this ... but Callie and Alex have sex. They talk a little about Addison being gone and Gizzie and then they just look at each other and throw down. It's HOT.

4) Cristina fights off the advances of a female intern in episode four. She's been throwing herself full tilt into the whole Resident thing and refuses to talk about Burke. The girl who likes her is Hispanic and makes several comments that are sexual.

5) Bailey takes Callie to task for everything she does until Callie has to set Bailey's son's arm and then they bond over the fact that Callie's marriage is as broken as Baby William's arm. Bailey decides to help her out.

Random things:

Despite reports to the contrary, Lexie very much wants a good, healthy relationship with Meredith and actually feels bad that Thatcher abandoned her. Lexie flirts with Alex and McSteamy, but it's pretty harmless. She's more concerned with being Meredith's friend.

Webber gets back together with his wife and remains Chief, but he agrees to reduce his hours which means that Derek assumes a sort of "part time" Chief thing. It's weird, but Shonda-land is weird.

Unconfirmed claims:

Callie finds out that she is pregnant this season, but doesn't know if it belongs to Alex or George.

You be the judge wink.gif.

I hope those spoilers aren't true. That is just not the way I saw Izzie and George going or ending for that matter. I know there is a very big possibility that they will be over this season, but I just won't buy it if it's done this way. To me thats certainly not where I thought their storyline was heading. If that is indeed was George say's to Izzie then I will be suprised. George, in my opinion was not giving that kind of impression at the end of the season. And if this is how George and Izzie end, if he just says he loves his wife and leaves Izzie, I think it will be a cop out. Because thats not keeping with the way George was feeling at the end of season 3. If that makes any sense. Anyway I just hope it's not true!
Isabel Anne Evans
There are some red flags there that I question. Honestly, part of me is expecting them to hold off on O'Stevens for a bit to give them a break, but hopefully they return to them shrug.gif.

I checked the source, and this came from the ABC board nod.gif. I can only recall the ABC board being right on one spoiler thus far, and that was 4.01 due to the backing of pictures. I can recall the ABC board posting a play by play of the last two episodes of S3, and nearly eveything was wrong lol. I can see Alex/Callie having sex just on the grounds of shock value, but wouldn't Alex be sad due to Ava not Addison? I don't know. Just going to have to wait and see nod.gif shrug.gif.
ukgreysfan
I know what u mean the abc boards aren't the most reliable are they? But I also understand, I am expecting George and Izzie to be cooled off, I'm just not sure George denying his feelings for Izzie is the best way to do that, if that is the case.
I sure hope they can at least have a friendship, I would hate for them to have no relationship at all.
I can't say I'm suprised that George will be Meredith's intern though, I always thought it would be Mer. Thats good though, I liked George and Meredith scenes! nod.gif

Just going to have to wait and see what develops this season, and future seasons nod.gif. Though it is amusing to read all the Grain Of Salt rumblings when you find out which ones are false lol.gif shrug.gif.

btw, hun I'm so snagging your new fanart there lol.gif. I love that Knocked Up banner grin.gif.

Definitely nod.gif. Some of these could be true, all be true, or none. Who knows shrug.gif. Though some we heard before, such as Christina's romantic female interest. It was a storyline they were going to use according to Kristin in S2, but decided against. Plus Kristin said it could happen(paraphased) in S4 nod.gif. So that one I can see happening.

I was kinda hoping Callie/Mark sex again shrug.gif lol.

Okay, folks have two bits of news for you. One involved some research on my lunch break, and the other comes from Kristin's Vine video today.

Oh, that spoiler/foiler speculation that was released on Saturday that came from the ABC board I would highly take as a grain of salt. I did some checking, and remember in S3 we had another set report from an extra on a SAG board. This is the same poster wink.gif. In S3 this poster put a detailed account from a scene in Joe's bar that was about the Original Interns, and of course due to candids and interviews it's easy to figure some of the cast mannerisms IMO. Needless to say that scene never aired on screen lol.gif.

So this is the third time this poster did a spoiler outline, and the first account was inaccurate. It never appeared on screen. It might've happened if we see it on the dvd boxset next month shrug.gif. The second account was an outline of S4 about a day or two after ABC released a press release for S4. Many stuff we already know in fact. Just something to think about if you are pondering about those spoilers/foilers released on Saturday.

Now, onto the second order of business. Okay here is the actual quote from Kristin thanks to Tara

The exact text of the vid:

Kristin sitting on her set:

"McDreamy and Meredith, Cristina and Burke, George and Callie, George and Izzie, Alex and Izzie -- so many romantic entanglements on Grey's Anatomy, so little time. And that is not gonna change in the new season. Sources tell me that one of the characters I just mentioned will provide the biggest shocker of the show's season premiere when he or she says four little words: "I love you too"."

Voiceover:

(Shot of Patrick, Ellen, Sara, TR, Katherine)

"Yup, get ready for a new Grey's couple who will shake up Seattle Grace and seriously disappoint another major character."

I'm putting my money on George to Izzie because all the other couples: Mer/Der, Chris/Burke, and George/Callie are already established couples nod.gif. Alex/Izzie aren't even a couple, and IMO both have moved on for the time being due to the events of Ava/Rebecca and George. Unless Alex/Lexie is the new couple, but I don't see them being "shake up" material. George/Izzie, however, is and already are "shake up" material.

I probably have my big ol' blinders on, but to me the puzzle fits George/Izzie *shrugs*.

Jackson in Wyoming: Okay, girl, dish it! You said you’d spill in the chat about the line at the end of the first episode of Grey’s that shocked you...You'd better not forget!

Like I would! It is burned into my brain! That line is “I love you, too.” And although a year ago, the thought of this storyline may have made me squee, I personally am not really happy about who says it and to whom—as a recently married woman and all. (Wow, that was weird! My italics button just clicked itself on as though that last line was a big giveaway or something...Nutty!)

Question: Do you have any good Grey's Anatomy scoop?— Helen
Ausiello: Since Burke's never coming back, Shonda Rhimes went and got the next best thing: his mama! Yep, Diahann Carroll's returning in this season's second episode when she shows up at Seattle Grace to get that choker back from Cristina. Needless to say, her return is shocking — and potentially clarifying — for Yang. It's also funny as hell. In fact, I hear the entire episode is high-sterical. There's also apparently some great stuff with Chandra Wilson as Bailey struggles with no longer being the boss lady.

Question: There's a rumor going around that there's a big Mer-Der sex scene set in a shower in Grey's third episode. True?— Danny
Ausiello: False… although the word "bathroom" is uttered at least once in the episode.

Question: Have you heard anything about Edward Herrmann's character on Grey's Anatomy?— Siobhan
Ausiello: I hear Grandpa Gilmore's playing the world's oldest intern.

Another interpretation of the sides for 4.05 - Halloween episode (title still unknown)

QUOTE
The fifth episode of the season will be a Halloween one. In the episode, some of the ladies working at the hospital formed a sort of club of women who have been hit on by a certain male doctor (Mark?). Erin, the daughter of a man waiting for a heart transplant, gets angry when his father's state worsens due to the fact the hospital is short staff and that those who are working seems to be more into Halloween than patients. Later, Erin becomes a patient when a Halloween prank goes wrong. A man wants one of his ears to be removed saying that he can't sleep because of it. When the doctors don't want to perform this wacky surgery, the man takes matters in his own hands. Ryan, a deaf kid who has a lot of tricks and some lies in his bag, wants to have hearing aids implanted inside his ears and hopes that the doctors will do it pro bono. The doctors also tend to a patient who cut one of his fingers when using a chainsaw to carve a pumpkin. Source: spoilerfix

4.06 - Character and Plot Details - Casting Side
QUOTE
Thanks to Cathalina, who yet again has done a great job creating this summary for Episode 6, which currently does not have a title.

Jackie, Helena, Jason, Mike, and Contest Judge: The two women are fighting with each other on the same gurney as the paramedics take them out of the ambulance. They are fighting over a huge bronze key. Jackie has a dislocated shoulder and a fractured leg, while Helena has a broken nose, cuts, and a chunk of missing scalp. It seems that the ladies were in a contest to win the house of their dreams, and the first one to grab the key wins. Dr. Martin admonishes the two women, and tells them to get their priorities straight and let go of the key. The ladies mull this over, flat-out refuse, and the fight continues. Finally, Dr. Brown has an idea. Dr. Kale (who from a slip on the sides we know is George) is going to be the proxy for Jackie so she will allow Dr. Martin to take her and reset her shoulder. However, when Dr. Martin examines Jackie she finds that her shoulder is much worse than thought and she cannot reset it without surgery. Jackie refuses the surgery at first.

George is talking to Helena. She says that she knows he thinks she is crazy, but she does not have a choice. George tells her she does, she could just let go. Helena explains to him her situation - her mother has done everything possible to help her get settled ever since she got engaged. Her mother is a woman of modest means, and Helena knows she will bankrupt herself to give Helena the life that she didn't have. It's important to her that Helena's life be perfect, since after Helena's dad walked out on her, her mother's life wasn't. George seems to respect this. Later, we learn that Helena needed surgery. When she comes out of it, she learns that her spleen had ruptured and she needed emergency surgery. Also, George had let go of the key so Helena won the house.

Note: The Contest Judge is hysterical. He ultimately begs the doctors to medicate him.

Mr. Arnold - A man in his 30's. He is nervous, and is complaining of shortness of breath which makes it impossible for him to do his bird calls. Mr. Arnold is an avid bird watcher, and now he is planning to go see a bird that was previously thought extinct but now they have found in Louisiana. However, he will not be able to fulfill his dream due to his heart condition and he is not a candidate for surgery. He is devestated. For some reason later on he IS in surgery, but its neurosurgery. One of those cool "Derek is operating on someone awake" surgeries. Mr. Arnold, however, gets a little nervous and starts freaking out when he realizes that...well...his brain is exposed and everyone can see it. So, one of the doctors calms him down by making him pretend that the people in the gallery are birds he can watch. It works.

Rick and Sally - Sally is Rick's rock climbing instructor (mountain climbing metaphor again - oh you tricky Shonda!). It seems that Rick took a fall while they were climbing, and by all rights should be dead (a near-death experience? IMO if this is NOT Meredith's case they are losing a REALLY VALUABLE opportunity). Sally is very concerned, nervous at what happened to Rick, and tells him that they are going to break the tapes of the climb. The doctors watch the tape of the climb, see the fall, and they hear Rick call to Sally as he was falling that he loves her. Sally didn't hear it above her own shouting. One of the doctors ( MUST be Meredith ) tells Rick that the clarity and everything else he feels right now will fade, the clarity goes away, so tell people what you have to tell them now.

Where we left off: Sigh. Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Derek (Patrick Dempsey)’s romance came to a halt. Cristina (Sandra Oh) fled her wedding, and Izzy (Katherine Heigl) declared her love for George (T.R. Knight).

After a year of melodrama, “we get back to comedy,” exec producer Krista Vernoff tells Us. For MerDer, “we have fun watching them move through their impasse.”

Will he keep flirting with her half sister and new intern, Lexie (Chyler Leigh)? “Everybody says, ‘Don’t sleep with McDreamy!” Leigh tells Us.

Plus, the staff learns about George’s affair, Cristina regroups after Burke (the fired Isaiah Washington)’s disappearance, and Ava (Elizabeth Reaser) returns to woo Alex (Justin Chambers).
