Liz wanted to be a Molecular Biologist, so that definitely entails pushing paper and charts. Though now she's probably "doing good deeds and avoiding the law," which is exciting and dangerous.

Maybe also Maria could give guitar lessons or something...or be a voice coach!

My favorite Waitress episode is either Wipeout, Chant Down Babylon or Ch-Ch-Changes...

Wipeout because they were so cute wandering around the city...and when Maria said "I need Liz."

Chant Down Babylon cause Maria calls Liz pumpkin and Liz tells Maria 'You know you are like the most special person to me...'

and Ch-Ch-Changes because Maria says "We are best friends Liz Parker so don't ever."

I like it how Maria was ready to leave for NY, and then she learns that Liz is sick. She rushes to see her :

Maria: You've been going through complete hell.

Liz: Yeah, and this is exactly what I didn't want for you to come along for the ride.

Maria: Don't ever. We are best friends, Liz Parker, so just don't ever, okay?

Liz: I'm serious. You should find a way to compromise without losing what's most important to you, because if you don't do this, you are always going to be miserable.

Maria: But then I would have to go to New York, and I'm just not going to leave you. Sorry.

It was nice of Liz to let her boyfriend hang out with her friend to search for a party, while babysitting said friend's drunk ex-boyfriend. If that didn't show signs of Liz being a great friend, I don't know what is.

Yeah, they both in their own ways showed how much they cared for each other.

Awww some great scenes. I also love the scene in the Christmas episode where her and Liz talk about Brody and Liz makes Maria see sense and says something like "because you are such a good person"

awww yes I love that part! You can just tell how much Liz admires Maria. She may have thought her plan was a little loopy but she loved her heart and her compassion.

Oh and I'm sure you will post back to me that Isabel was a waitress during one episode In S1 - yes she was but this is a discussion thread for the Maria/Liz fans. Maybe your post would be more appropriate on the Kyle Appreciation thread.

Oh sorry Fi, we have all been kinda using this as a more human appreciation thread I guess... :-/ I'll change the title so it doesn't include Alex and Kyle anymore.

I believe the topic of this thread is: Waitress/Waiter Appreciation and it states Liz, Alex, Kyle, and Maria. So, I don't see how I was off topic when Kyle's friendships was just as important as the rest. No, Kyle was not an actual waiter, but his name is on the title of this thread. Maybe it's just my posting that you have a problem with because they're not about Liz and Maria.

For the threads to stay on topic, then maybe the title should be changed.
