"yeah..I guess sI do..' i smile "i just hope things get better soon, you know?? So the three of us can be.." i sigh " a family again"

Jenny----"Nathan just needs time and he will be ok again."

Man James looked good tonight. He has really, really nice legs lol.

I know, he really did, he looked yummy in thos boxers/ briefs tights thing lol but Carrie almost ruined for me, she is so damn obvious!

"Yeah...thanks again Jenny..you`ve been a major help in this..I dont know if could had done i without you..I mean you give me the hope I need sometimes..and knowing you are going to be near us It makes me less worried..so i guess i just wanted to say thank you."

Jenny-----"You are welcome. Its part of my job and you are also my friend. I have told you some things about me that I dont tell very many people. You are so nice and fun to be around."

Jenny----"I am doing really good. I have been working more hours than usual and Kyle does not like it that much but he knows I enjoy my work."

"Things are good between you two?? You know as soon as Nathan get better i would like for all the four of us have dinner togheter or something..i mean i met your boyfriendbut it was really quicky, he seemed like a good guy.

Jenny---"Kyle is a good guy. I would like to have dinner....the four of us. Kyle thinks it is cool that I am working with Nathan. I told you he is an athlete also and he really respects Nate."

'I would like that" I smile "He seemed like a great guy, maybe who knows? They can play one on one after dinner " i chuckle.

Jenny----"Kyle would love that. I should go check on Nathan and make sure he does not need any thing."

"ok..i`m gonna stay with Jamie but if he needs anything just tell me, ok?"

Jenny----"Will do." I smile at Haley than knock on the door to their bed room.

Nathan---"Come in."

Jenny

i came to check on you, how are you feeling today?"

Nathan----"Not great. I am hurting some even with the pain medicine. I guess that is normal since I just surgery."

Jenny

"It is and I am all the doctor are here to help you, I just talked to Haley, she is with Jamie."

Nathan----"She is still worried about me. I have tried to tell her I am ok but I can tell she is worried. I guess I am too." I say this softly. "Every thing went ok right? I mean I will walk again?"

Jenny

"Yes Nathan, everything went just fine, you are very strong and that help the doctor, and yes you will walk again dont worry, soon you will be on your feet, but to that happen you have to do everything we tell to, ok?? I know that sometimes you are gonna feel frustrated and pissed and thats normal, for that we have a bunch oof people to help you to go thru that and you also have you wife and your son, and they love you so much, yes she is worried but Its normal to be worried about someone we care about, right?? I mean if it was Haley who was in this situation you will be worried too"

Nathan-----"I want to get back to therapy but the doctor said it will be at least a month....maybe longer. I do not know how I am supposed to lay here or sit in that damn chair and know I have to wait. I get frustrated than I get angry than I wind up saying things I do not mean and Haley always is the one I say them to. I have a really bad temper Jenny. That is why I am here right now and why I no longer can play ball."

Jenny

"And that is why you need to go counseling, I mean talking to Haley is good too but sometimes you need to talk with someone else, the doctor said it would take a month because he does want you to do much streingh, your surgery was really serious Nathan and you need to recorver from it first so you can start to work on walking again, it doesnt mean you have to always sit, you can go to the pool and I am sure the doctors might give you a list of what things to do, some people have their whole lives on a wheelchair and they are active, they are not dead, and you dont have to. You have a beautiful wife a beautiful and amazing son, you have something that most of people take their life searching, they need you just like you need them so dont forget that, you are young and you have a whole life ahead on you, you are so lucky because you are gonna walk again, its a fact! But most people cant and they still managed to find something to be happy."

Nathan----"My temper has always gotten me in to trouble. I need to change it."

Jenny

"Yes, but it will take some time and some counseling, are you willing todo that? It can really help you Nathan but you need to believe and try"

Nathan----"I have this trust issue with people in that I dont. It takes a long time for me to open up with people if I ever do. Guys I played ball with have known me for years but they dont know me. Haley is about the only person who truly knows me."

Jenny

"I know Nathan..is just that you just tell me that sometimes i say things that hurt Haley..maybe you say to smeone else you wont hurt her..right? But that doesnt mean you hav to let her out, you need her let her in too."

Nathan----"Is is just so hard. Being able to tell people stuff. People act like they care but they really dont. I am not sure if I can talk to a counselor Jenny. I mean they get paid to act like they care but is that all it is? How am I supposed to trust some one I do not know?"

Jenny

"you just have to have faith..look maybe you could meet them before, there are several in here i can indicate the best ones so you can talk and see for yourself...they do help Nathan, even if he doesnt care at least you are gonna saying what you feel, all the anger and frustration..and it will be a relief to you"

Nathan----"Haley tells me I hold things in until I explode. I guess it will be good for me to have some one to talk to so maybe I can let my anger out before it comes out on its own."

Jenny

"Absolutely...it will help you more than you think Nathan"

Nathan----"Than I will try."

Jenny

"thanks Nathan..i should go chack on the other patients..do you want me to go get Haley or something?"

Nathan----"No its ok. I am kind of tired still."

"Ok, so get some rest and i will go check on Haley and Jamie too."

Nathan----"Thanks for being such a good friend to Haley."

Jenny

"No problem, i like her and Jamie too, she is very nice to me, most of the players wives are really shallow and rude, she is cool' i smile "are you hungry? i can ask the other nurse to bring you some food."

Nathan----"Haley is special, she always tries to be nice to every one and she sees good in people. I am kind of hungry....yeah. Thanks Jenny."

"No problem..see ya nathan" i say as i smile and leave the room.

Nathan---I close my eyes and sleep for a few minutes. Than I hear a knock on the door. I wake up thinking its probably the nurse bringing some food.

"Shhh!! Jamie lets go..your daddy needs to rest"

Nathan----"Its ok Hales. I am awake. How are you doing?"

"We`re ok, we just came t ocheck on you..but this little monkey over here had to yell" i chuckle "dont do anymore baby, ok??"

Nathan----I look at both of them. My wife and my son. My family. Jamie runs to the bed and is about to jump on it. "Little man dont do that...."

Haley

I run and grab Jamie "baby dont!"

"Because daddy needs to rest and he is tsill a little sore from the surgery."

Nathan----"I still want to play with you little man. For a few days though you have to be careful because I am hurting. I will be ok though Jamie....I promise."

Haley

"Its ok sweetie, it is normal to be hurting after a surgery...but daddy will be ok."

Nathan----"Remember we talked about what the doctors had to do to make me well. They had to cut in to my back and it will hurt for a few days but than it will get better. I will be my old self really soon little man."

Jamie

"Yes sweetie, but daddy is fine now, dont worry"

Nathan----"In a couple of weeks I will back to normal." Haly looks at me
