I have a confession... I fell asleep and missed the start of this ep

I do have thoughts and comments on what I did get to see though. But don't have time to post them right now

I loved it. After the very good but intense last episodes it was nice to have something wacky & fun...if a bit scary as well.

OK, I re-watched this last night.

Some funny moments. I know this was a comedy episode, but some were better than others for me.

Completely out of order:

I loved it when Ianto cut in on the dancing and Gwen thought he was asking her to dance, but he was aiming for Jack

Rhys going after the alien with a chainsaw, and the saw dying on him

Rhys and Gwen's parents were a bit too OTT, but I still found myself laughing at the sniping between the two mothers.

Are we going to get a subtle reminder, every episode, that Owen is now dead? Although the not so subtle banter between Jack and Ianto when Ianto sticks up for Owen, stating he never speaks ill of the dead was good

Speaking of Jack and Ianto - I love the throwaway lines that bring their relationship slamming into you. No hiding from homosexuality in this show . Jack telling Gwen he'll do the 'usual' - and including Ianto in the list

How do they get around the fact that Gwen and Rhy's families won't remember the wedding? Or do they implant false memories?

At first I thought the bridesmaids must be so thick to not realise something was up when Gwen suddenly appeared heavily pregnant, after not being so the night before. But the I thought more realistically - how would you deal with something like that? You would assume you were rat-faced and didn't notice the bump. People just don't get that pregnant that quickly!

I thought Rhys was out of order telling Jack to stay away from the wedding. What has he got against Jack? As far as I remember, he doesn't know that Gwen has feelings for him? And it's Gwen that lied to him, not Jack etc. So why does Jack get the flack? Or is it because Jack is the boss, and so obviously is to blame - because the blame Gwen would be the end of their relationship?

Gwen is still so two-faced. She obviously loves Rhys - loves him a lot. But how can she stand there and say he's the only one for her, when just seconds before she's been making eyes at Jack??? Although I don't envy her situation - loving two men at the same time. (Not that I really but Jack and Gwen. I just don't see it).

And we know Jack was married once. More little snippets into his past life...

I know there's a lot more. But memory fails me...

Rhys seems to be taking it as well as could be expected.

I really want to beleive Gwen really loves Rhys, he really is a nice guy.

I'm really tired of the "deadman" jokes.

Can't wait to see the look on Rhy's mother's face!


Do I detect a hint of tension between the future in-laws?

Can you imagine how much it would hurt to be that big that fast? Your stomach muscles and skin can't do that

ITA... I was also wondering how the writers are going to the resolve the "Owen is dead" story arc... Will Capt. Jack find the other gauntlet and we'll find out that it restores life - totally - or something like that?

I love the families sniping at each other.

Only 4 more eps until Capt. John? Whoo Hoo... Then Torchwood is off the air for a year? Or will another season start sooner?

Ditto about the instant belly sitch....

We don't know if there will be a 3rd season (although it seems very likely) and we sure don't know when it will air.

!3 eps is a really big deal for a BBC show, lots are less than eight.

"Do you feel like a bite?" ....that sounds kind of ominous....

Oh...S3 is up in the air? I figured that since we're watching the show and since we want more of Capt. John, S3 would be a slam dunk. ...Silly me. ..

I know shows like Kyle XY and other cable shows have shorter than "normal" seasons... but things have certainly changed all over the broadcast landscape. I remember years ago when a season was 32 eps.... (back in the stone age). And now, with the writer's strike, the number of eps is all over the place. I have no idea how many eps constitute a "season" any more

It's not up in the air...the BBC just plays everything very close to the vest. There are rumors flying about changes being made for the next season. But I don't want to spoil anybody...so wait and see.

I liked this episode.

It was a good ep. I especially liked the humor and the Jack/Gwen scenes.

I just watched 2.12 and it's almost as good as Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and as it's the lead in to the last ep with Marsters it's looking DAMN GOOD!!

I'm really liking that 24 hours of Whoverse

I loved the episode. I like Gwen, I know some people don't but I do enjoy her. I like the whole "angst" between Gwen and Jack. Almost like, wanting to be together but cannot be together sort of thing.

I LOVED when Gwen jumped into Jack's arms. But you know, it really shows the close friendship between Eve and John in that moment. The dance was rather intense, I'm surprised that Rhys didn't notice how intense it was. I mean, Ianto was clearing his throat and the were still staring at each other for the longest time before they broke apart!

But man, loved Jack and that big gun. Yummy.

OK Vin & Bery, I guess I can be patient and wait to see 2:12. It's funny - the only show I like to be spoiled about his DWTS. I want to know who gets voted off. Other than that, I like to be surprised.
