Jenny----"Yeah thats Kyle....he has our lives pretty much figured out. How are you doing?"

"you`re lucky..he seems a good guy.." I sigh and look down "Not good..I..I am watching my family falling apart and there is nothing i can do..I keep trying and fighting but..I am so tired Jenny.." I say with tears in my eyes "Nathan and I are like..two strangers, all we do is fight, i found him with a bottle of vodka and he was drinknig it..Jamie is hating all of this, he says all i do now is fight with Nathan and he is hating the both of us..everything is such a mess."

Lyndsey----"I am so sorry Haley. I wish I knew what to tell you to fix this but I dont. Maybe time will work things out. I know this is not important in all of this but if some one catches Nate drinking he is out of here."

"I know.." I sigh "and there is why I wanted him to stay here cuz i thought he would drink..i guess i am that stupid.."

Jenny----"No Nathan is that stupid. You are trying your hardest Haley. He knows the rules. Has he gone to any counseling sessions yet?"

Haley

"No.." I isgh "he is not even trying Jenny.."

Jenny----"He really needs to go to counseling. There are some group sessions also where the guys sit around and talk with our counselor. If he went to one of those he would not even have to say much."

Haley

"I already asked him..he is not helping me Jenny..you know i got sick a while ago and almost lost the baby..he didnt even cared, he didnt even asked me how i was..Its like..Its like he gave up on us, on our family, on everything!"

Jenny----"He is in a really bad place right now Haley. Do you think he might try and hurt himself?"

Jenny---"Thats good. I know its hard but maybe you should try talking to him again."

"More than I alreayd do??? I`m so tired Jenny, I am trying t hold everything, my marriage, my family, my hopes, my optimism, everything!! Plus I am pregnant and I need to worry about this baby I just..I cant take it anymore..for once i wanted to someone took care of me, you know?? Just for once"

Jenny----"It sounds like he can barely take care of himself right now. Has he even tried to sit in his wheel chair yet?"

"No..he just stay there in bed, laying, he doesnt want to do nothing.."

Jenny----"I am going to put that on his chart. Maybe the doctor will give him some kind of depression medicine. It sounds like he needs it."

Jenny----"I think you need to talk to a counselor Haley. I am here but I do not have the training to help you. That is why I am in school now. I want to be a counselor and help people."

I smile a little "you are gonna do great Jenny, I`m sure of it" i sigh "hey do you uh..do you know someone named Carrie?? Jamie met her, she said she works here."

Jenny----"Yeah. I know Carrie...not well. She seems like she is ok but she kind of well....I am only telling you this....she likes to flirt a lot."

Haley

"Re-really?? To..anyone?"

Jenny----"Not any one she likes good looking guys. She flirted with kyle until I came in to the room."

Haley

"So uh..that means I should keep my eye on her with Nathan??"

Jenny----"I would if I were you Haley."

"Great.." I sigh "Another girl to worry about..It wanst enough my sister, Brooke, Peyton, Rachel and now Carrie and the worst part is..Jamie really likes her"

Jenny----"Your husband is a very good looking man Haley. If you were notso nice maybe I would flirt with him too." I am kissing and I hope she knows that.

"You wouldnt be the first one.." I isgh. I knew she was joking but I am so tired from all this crap.

Jenny----"I am kidding I would never do that. Nathan was a player before you?"

"I know you are Jenny..I am..I am just really tired of all of this..' i sigh "yeah, he was.."

Jenny----"Kyle was too. I was always the shy, smart girl. Kyle was my first real boy friend. I guess a lot of athletes are that way. They can get any girl they want so they take advantage of it. I really wish I knew how to help you with him but I dont. If you have talked to him already."

"I guess we have more in common than you think.." i sigh "talk to Nathan??? More than I do??"

Jenny---"That is about all I know to tell you. There is one other thing you might try but its not some thing we are taught or some thing we are supposed to advice. It is a little on the mean side also."

"Wha-what do you mean?"

Jenny---"You could try ignoring him."

"I-ignoring him???"

Jenny----"Maybe that will make him want to talk to you. I dont know. It works on Kyle."

I isgh "maybe..I dont know..I just..It feels like he doesnt love me anymore..or want me..and I am not talking about sex, i know he cant do anything but you can show you want someoen without sex, you know?"

Jenny----"That is why I feel like he is depressed. I am going to suggest that a counselor go and talk to him. One of them should have done that already."

"well, the first time Rachel was the counselour and he ended up kissing her.." i sigh "but if you send someone you can trust, i will trust in you"

Jenny----"There is a really nice guy who is really good. He is actually a psychiatrist so he can get Nathan on medicine. He is not here except two days a week. If Nathan will let him he will help."

"That sounds good..i will take any help i can.."

Jenny---"Than I will talk to the doctor today. He comes in on Tuesday and Thursday and I am sure he will want to meet with Nathan."

"I know I said that already but i am gonna say again...thank you so much Jenny..you have been such an amzing friend and really helping us..so..if i dont say enough..thank you" i say with tears in my eyes.

Jenny----"You are welcome. I am glad to help. I know this may sound dumb but I really enjoy helping people and knowing people get well and I had a little some thing to do with that."

I smile "i know the feeling..i felt the same way about tutoring..and now teaching"

Jenny----"I guess we are a lot alike."

"I just hope life is not hard like it is for me with you.." i sigh.

Jenny----"Haley no one has an easy life. I have my own problems but they are not some thing I am supposed to discuss or think about here at work."

"I know.."i sigh 'but hey..if you need a friend to talk..I am here for you, ok?? I know I keep talking about my problems on and on and I want you to know that you can talk to me too. If I let it out..its because i trust you.."

Jenny---I smile at her "I am glad you trust me. You are the first true friend I have ever made here. Maybe some time we can go have lunch and I will feel more like this is not my office so I can talk to you about me. I have a feeling you would be good to talk with."
