SO47, good to see you back here. If you're going to stop Roswell from the beginning, I hope you'll post your running commentary like you have done before. I always enjoyed that. It's true that Heroes S2 is not as good as S1. It got to feeling a little like a detective show with super powers. It did get a little better towards the end, and I have high hopes for S3. I love Legally Blonde, but being a 30 year old blonde myself, I think it's a little more my demographic.

Vicki, really cute pup! OK, I have a potentially stupid question for you- how far is the Grand Canyon from Vegas?

Howdy all!

I hate when companies do things like that to TV shows on DVD, like Farscape. I know there was another series I wanted to buy on DVD but because they were not selling well, they only released up to season 3 DVD and the show went on for 7 seasons. I am still ticked that they stopped at season 3 for that show because the last few seasons were my favorites.

Yeah downloading Farscape from iTunes is my last resort now. I got the first 4 eps from S1 on it but otherwise I really want the DVD's. I don't like that I can't burn those eps to DVD so I can watch on my regular tv.

I rather enjoyed The Andromeda Strain. Can't compare it to the old version, because even though I know I've seen it, I can't remember the details.

We had major thunderstorms here today... A funnel cloud was sighted, but thankfully it didn't touch down... Flash flooding continues to be a problem depending on where you live. (I live on a bluff with no creeks or lakes nearby, so I'm OK.)... The place we're going to next week is having a problem with the dam on their largest lake Alpine Lake Dam Leak... I need to check GoogleEarth to see if our cabin is higher than that lake... Pretty sure it is, but gonna check anyway... Will it ever stop raining?

LOOK, cool new thread

I found someone who was selling homemade Cupid DVDs online. I got them. They are from tapes so the quality isn't super but there really wasn't anything better 10 years ago when the show came out. What I can say is I remember liking the show, it's frelling amazing. What could have been very twee really ended up being a nice exploration of insanity, the state of Eros in the world, what is love, what attracts love, what keep love. It really is a pretty amazing show. It holds up unbelievably well time wise.

Summer47 ~ I watched the first Liars Guns and Money poor Crichton!!!! I'll write it up and watch the rest. You know, I noticed sometimes Ben and Jeremy Piven have similar mannerisms.

another thing was "where did I know that Dr. Angela Noyce in Adromeda Strain from???" ... (Christa Miller ... she was Kate O'brien on The Drew Carey Show!!! ) ... (She also appears on Scrubs, and ... is married to the guy (Bill Lawrence) who created Scrubs and was co-creator of Spin-City )

Vicki, My friend's brother lives in Vegas, so she was talking about us going out there for a few days. A couple days later some other friends were talking about when they went to the Canyon, and I wondered if we could do both. Any useful tips would be much appreciated. I was thinking about September. Just passing through - off work tomorrow as I have to go to the hospital to get my broken finger checked up on I think it's much better though so with luck may get the splint off

Edited to say just reading back throug old posts/threads - my favourite Roswell eps have to be 285South, Independence Day and Behind The Music (yes a series 3 ep) Since breaking my hand/finger I started to re-watch Roswell from pilot as I only just got the Box sets. I just reached the end of season 1. It's amazing how a little broken finger prevents me from doing all the housework

I’m back at the Apple store borrowing their computer and wifi. As for my computer :rolleyes: I don’t know what the tech will be able to retrieve from the crashed hard drive…. He’s installing a new HD in my “senior citizen” Mac laptop. ….I guess I’m going to have to clear off my desk and buy a new, up-to-date computer.

Cat, it is definitely a weird feeling to be locked out of the internet at home because of no computer.

Vin & Cat & Berry, I saw part of The Producers on TV last night. As they launched into “Springtime for Hitler[/b]], I notice the very, very Aryan and very, very handsome Platinum blond lead singer. I kept trying to figure out why I recognized him ….. I finally did. It was a bleach blonde John Barowman!!! Did you guys know he was in The Producers? I didn’t – until last night.

VG, thanks for your congrats on my new car. It’s reassuring to read that your mom loves her Honda. The truth is that you can’t go wrong with either a Toyota or a Honda; they are both great cars and both are very reliable, too.

I don't watch Lost, but if you're not watching the finale, I'd suggest not being in contact with any human being tomorrow It reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where he was answering the phone by saying, "This is Jerry, if you watched the game last night don't tell me what happened, because I taped it." Really funny

I watched Lost. Not bad, not great but not bad. The problem is, I don;t even remember or care what most of the questions even were anymore. I was surprised who was in the coffin.

OK tired now, supposed to go to the doc tomorrow for a skin test on my allergies but I think I'm just gonna have my husband get the lab results and just keep doing what I'm doing. In the last 3 or 4 weeks I've had 3 minor reactions, in every case with a slight bit of mayonnaise, which has egg in it. The Doc couldn't seem to tell me what might have caused me to become allergic at this age, what I might do for it other than what I'm doing, which is stay away from egg as best I can and if I get anything happening take Benadryll, prednesone and keep the epi pen if it gets bad enough to block my breathing. So what is the point of going back to her. I took a blood test, what is the point of a skin test other than to make me uncomfortable.

Tek~ Good excuse to get that Air Mac you've been wanting. I think PQ's Mac of 6 months just crashed also and she got the Air cause they said hers would take up to 6 weeks to fix and she needs it for school. You want to PM her?

I enjoyed 'LOST', but of course now I have more questions along with my frustrations.
I was surprised about who was in the coffin too. The name change confused me the whole 2 hours.

School let out at 1 today, but Teachers had to stay until 6.
I'm all done until they let me move into the new building, but I'm totally worn out. Shaking, mind numbing worn out. Daddy and I loaded down his truck and my car. My house looks like I'm just moving in. I'll have to live with that for a few months.
