The name "spank" comes from an interview where Katee said that her old brother's friends called her "LittleSpank"

We really do have an impressive spectrum of the world covered, (afterall, Katee's awesomeness is universal and translates in to all languages).. we should make a list.. and maybe a fun little map with pins in it..

ok, so the thing i am loving about trucco (i am watching the Q&A). is that when talks about sam...he uses "I" that's very rare, most characters refer to their characters by name, or by "he" or "she" ...loving trucco on that!

Swim, it's blatantly obvious that Katee paid Michael a truckload to say that TV Week stuff. Or she at least took him on a bender at the pub.

Ahoy there Michael. I'm moderately ashamed to announce myself as the author of "The Helmet" and "Sentinel Shame", amongst some other little pearls of wisdom on the Spank site. Have you seen that thing (ie The Last Sentinel)? It truly is a dog. It should be a warning to all of you actor types to consider your fans when you do that stuff - because we can't help but watch no matter how crappy we know it's going to be, and we will never stop harassing you for it. Because paying out on it is just way too much fun and way too easy.

Also, you've really got to get in Katee's ear about that helmet of hers. That thing is just pitiful. We certainly hope you have more helmet sense - particularly after your recent misfortune.

By the way Michael, another essential TeamSpank fact of which you should probably be aware, is that one TeamSpanker (FatApolloLoveSpank) has a rather bizarre fixation with Katee's collarbone and has written at least 6 probing essays about it. They really are a must read. The first one is entitled, "Collarbone". The others are a companion series to Season 4 of BSG, where Fats follows the trials and tribulations of Katee's collarbone as it attempts to locate Earth and fullful its destiny, whilst trying to free itself from those pesky double tanks. Fats essays have become part of Spank folklore. They really are ..... unique. You haven't lived until you've learned what a Katee Sackhoff Collarbone Combo is.

"a bender" - you know, hitting it hard at the pub ('bar'). Getting trashed. Shitfaced. Totaled. Drinking an excessive amount of alcohol. Getting intoxicated. Inebriated.

I think "paying out" is an American expression. Means the same thing as "taking the piss" (which is an Australian expression - although Katee S has used it so it may have filtered onto the BSG set). It means to mercilessly joke about something or someone - to harass them until they feel about 2 inches tall. All in good fun though of course.

In Australia we also have the expression "getting pissed upon from a great height", which is a personal favourite of mine. It literally means getting caught in really heavy rain, and figuratively means getting mocked so severely that you really look like a massive tool.

I've lived here my entire life and Ive only ever been in two tornadoes.. and one of those was in Wichita while on a swimteam team trip. The other was on the north side of the city, a good 45 minutes from where I actually live. I HATE tornadoes... unless im sure they arent coming at me. And then they are all kinds of cool.

What kept you out of KC? The lack of social life?

Dudester I can see the TeamSpank site stats and people visit there regulary from about 40 different countries. It makes for fascinating reading - I'll have to post it on the site sometime. Katee is huge in Mauritius. And in some parts of China.

lol.. well yeah... two. and no, i live on the outskirts of the city. As in sky scrapers, the opera, the ballet, the symphony, pro football, pro baseball, pro soccer, semi pro baseball, Kansas speedway and some excellent upscale shopping. Not to mention the EATS. omg... on average people eat out 5 meals a week. And there are great lakes around. lots of boating. And eastern Kansas is actually fairly hilly. You gotta go WAY out west to find flat farmland.

First of all, I want to congratulate you on an excellent work you're doing with Sam's character. I love to see that him progressing and changing. I'm glad he became a part of regular cast in Season 4.
What drove me to TeamSpank is a fact that it's more than just a fandom. We are people of different ages and nationalities that are united in their appreciation of Katee and her work, but we do more than that; we never miss a chance to point out all the bad choices she made (because we want the best there is for her ), with a pinch of irony of course (previously mentioned projects as well as some irresponsibility on the road - you should really teach her a lesson on that one!), and we often hang out at the Treehouse and chat about lots of other, everyday stuff as well. Some of us are practically payed for Spanking, as we do it during our time at work. Our bosses wouldn't be pleased if they knew what their employees are doing, so please, keep it a secret.
As the Spankdemia is spreading, new members are always welcome, and I will repeat that Spanks would be especially honoured if you would join us.
No pressure. Just don't be afraid. We don't bite. A lot.
