Hi everyone--my name is Mike, I'm the author of "Party Across America," and I could use some help from the real voices out there.

So I wrote this book, which will be out in all the Barnes & Noble / Borders stores on December 1st. It's basically the first ever travel guide written about the greatest annual celebrations in the U.S. For example, Halloween in New York City, The Kentucky Derby, Burning Man, you get the point. The book tell you everything you need to know to go to the 101 greatest American parties.

I was recently approached by a director, and they want to turn the book into a movie after it's been out awhile. Please advise!!! I think the book is really cool, and I don't want that to be compromised. The movie proposal involves two twenty-somethings (Harold and Kumar style) who get a copy, and take a road trip around the country, going crazy and partying.

I don't know, it just seems like this movie has been made twenty times before.
