How much time do we need? ... Will any of your family be joining us?... Yes! You absolutely must bring your whips! Be prepared to show my son how to use one. He'd love that! Um, you can pick a fly off a beer can without disturbing the can, right?... We'll probably be arriving Friday night so we can get an early start Saturday. Um, not before 9 or 10 as I tend to sleep late. ... Our flight leaves Chicago Midway at 8pm, so I figure we should leave you guys about 3pm, maybe 4pm at the latest. Is that enough time? Does it fit your schedule?

I like when they told Neil Patrick Harris he was up for an emmy with HIMYM he said he was more excited about Dr. Horrible coming out HEE! He said he got an email from Joss that just said "we broke the internet" I wonder if they let him and Kristin Chenoweth sing? That would be awesome.

I remember when you painted it hot pink.....

Did anyone watch VH1 Honors the Who? It was such fun to see major rock bands getting so much joy performing the Who's songs. I love it when people we are fans of are fans themselves.

Tek I agree about all of the cell phones having different plugs. I read that the carriers all got together and agreed to use a common plug on their phones, I think starting sometime this year. It will be one of the mini-USB plugs. And ther are several of those that are just slightly different. I hope they really do all use the same plug on their phones.

Wild~~ FD was Vi, one of the potentials from s7 Buffy. And she writes, stars and produces the youtube show, The Guild which is a riot. I links the first ep the last couple of pages last thread or you can search The Guild on youtube. The Guilld was partly what inspired Joss to make Dr Horrible.

GH, I bought a Motorola Bluetooth and got sent a replacement Motorola phone… They both have mini-USB connections…. And neither USB Motorola charger can charge both devices. .....Thanks for the really good news. You can knock me over with a feather. ….The manufacturers are really going to settle on one standard so we don’t have to keep buying chargers? Wow!!!! Vin, ITA Starbucks coffee isn’t that great. Too bitter IMO. I’m not surprised that your “min-Starbucks” doesn’t have free WiFi. I think the goal of the kiosks is to sell coffee and get everyone to leave fast. The kiosks aren’t very inviting….. Heck... isn't just a wireless card that DV won't let you get or is it a laptop with a wireless card that he's against? If it's just the card, I think you can find a reasonable one on eBay. If it's the laptop... well, is sitting at the monitor hard on your sore back and neck?.... ....Would a laptop make you feel better.... physically, I mean.... ....Just a thought....

Vin, Starbucks was never the best coffee.... but I'm beginning to think Starbucks over-roasts its coffee beans to make up for the less-than-stellar quality of its beans. ...It's kind of the "over-salt, over-pepper" approach to a lackluster dish to disguise its lack of flavor.

Gooder, are you oiling your (or whatever it is one does to whips) in anticipation of jero's visit?

I skipped the pedicure due to niece doesn't like those things
BUT I took niece to see 'Batman: The Dark Knight', and to lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings, a visit to the teaching store, and a visit with my Dad. Heath Ledger was awesome in the movie. It's so sad such an incredible talent is gone. The rest of the cast was very good as well. We enjoyed the movie very much, though there were a few draggy parts, IMO.
And painting my bedroom deep pink was an accident I haven't finished correcting.
I think I've decided on a 'sand' color for an accent wall.



When I purchased my new phone they told me the same thing when I complained about the wasted plugs. I hope they are right.

CAT and Vinity I use Folgers Decaf Coffee Singles. I love them. I also let them 'soak' a lot longer than they direct. I like strong coffee, but not bitter coffee. Starbucks is nasty tasting to me.

I'm with you Cat I'll stick with Folgers. The coffee at Starbucks is so strong, I end up pouring half of the coffee anyway. The nieghborhood coffee house has a great cafe ole that's to die for.

Echo sent me some Kick Ass coffee that was good. right now I have some politically correct coffee beans. I have to have very dark roast.

DV is very mad at me for calling him during a meeting. He was out of town. We thought the new phone was on vibrate and it wasn't and the ringtone was loud and obnoxious. DV said everyone in the meeting laughed and he was humiliated. I didn't know. He's very difficult about phones. He doesn't like for people to call us, he never turns his phone on usually, he just calls out with it geesh!

Lori, … at least someone got a pedicure – me . I inspired myself to get a “mani-pedi.” …You were lucky that you got in to see Batman. I think it’s sold out the whole weekend in LA. The early Friday 3 am and 6 am shows were even sold out …I’m looking forward to seeing it, but I think I’ll have to wait. I’ve been hearing a lot of buzz about a possible posthumous Academy Award nomination for Heath. I agree; he was so talented and his way-too-early passing is a real loss.

Lori, Cat & Vin, I like strong coffee too, but it seems that most people think strong = bitter. Feh!

Di, do you have any Peet’s Coffee coffeehouses where you live? They know how to make good coffee. The chain started in Berkeley and when I would go to Berkeley, I would come home with a pound of Peet’s coffee. The car would always smell so great on the drive home.

Hey, Joss Whedon was on "Best Week Ever" talking about Dr. Horrible.

I was just coming on to mention Best Week Ever, but I see Cat beat me to it. They usually rerun the show sometime over the weekend, so try to catch it if you didn't see it first time around.

Lori, I missed the “fat” line in DW. My attention wasn’t on the show 100%. ….Mama Mia looks to be fun. Meryl Streep can do no wrong in my eyes…. And a singing/dancing Pierce Brosnan looks interesting. I’m looking forward to your review of the movie. ….So Monday will be mani/pedi day for you?

Tek, Best Week Ever is my absolute favorite show of all time. It is the only show that I don't do anything during because I want to make sure it has my undivided attention. I actually feel disappointed when it's over, because I know I won't be able to see it for another week.

They must have been so very coordinated to skate and balance trays at the same time.

Tek, BWE is on VH1 on Friday nights, but they usually rerun it a few times through the weekend. The next showing of it here is at 1:30am, so I guess it would 10:30 tonight your time? There's about 6 more showings of the one with Joss on it.

Just finished watching Dr. Horrible. It does feel a little bit like there may be a sequel coming, and I hope there is, because I enjoyed it a lot.

Since DH has been such a huge success for Joss, it would seem likely that he’ll do more on the web. It wouldn’t be improbable if Felicia were resurrected in some way, especially since both DW and Hammer are smitten with her. Maybe DH could concoct something in his lab to reanimate her.... Mwhahahaha

On Dr Horrible I can't beleive I was surprised at the ending. Joss Whedon never does happy-happy. I was so sad Penny never got to see Hammer for what he really was. She was starting to see chicks in the armor but she still died with her last works as "Captain Hammer will save us." I know that really put the knife in Dr Horrible even more.

I loved the fangeeks were then having Dr Horrible tshirts after the gig. They'll fangeek anything. I guess the little Asian girl is one of the Writers/creators and Jed's fiancee. Jed Whedon was one of the Bad Horse letter guys BTW AND one of the dudes who was in the Evil League of Evil as Dead Bowie. I really loved those guys. Fake Thomas Jefferson, Dead {David} Bowie. Did y'all notice who they were? Most of the people in that room were Jossverse writers, Doug Petrie, and Drew Goddard. And of course, the news people were David Fury and Marti Noxen. I hope there is a follow up real soon but I guess it will depend on if they make enough money to pay the crew. I know the pulled in lots of favors to get it made for what they did. Joss footed the entire bill but I'm sure people will start to want to get paid {more} if they make more eps. I hope it makes money. You have to give Joss credit for making it difficult when he knew making it totally happy fluffy would prolly make him more money in the long run.

I will say it's easier to watch after the first viewing. That one knocks you for such a loop it's hard to get over.

Lot's of attention to detail. Notice in the first two acts Dr Horrible has that blinky thing happening but after...........it's gone. No more Billy Buddy, just Dr Horrible.

Vin, I loved the Act III tee shirts, too. I also loved that Doctor Horrible, the "bad guy," was in white including white gloves and Hammer, the "good guy," was mainly in black with black gloves. It remains to be seen - if there's a sequel - who really ends up being the good guy/bad guy. ...How did your horsie show go?

jero, have you already left on your oddessy/trip? Have a great time. I hope you'll be able to send us an occasional from the road - and vote for Roswell, too. ...I'm currently "cooling my heels" at my air-conditioned 'Bucky's - and, of course, voting.

(Dr. Horrible) The Whedon acolytes are calling this Chekovian,Shakespearean,they haven't been so moved since Schindler's list! Bwahahahahahah!!!
