forgive me as im new here, if this is not the correct way to do things, i did read the rules and i think i should be okay....
but i just finished watching the entire season 5 and no one else i know watches the show so i have nobody to babble about it with grin.gif

First and foremost let me say that it was CAPTIVATING, L-Word is ALWAYS captivating, thats why i watch the season on DVD so i dont have to wait a week for the next one...im real impatient smile.gif

to be honest im a little disappointed with the writers of season 5
I think the alice and tasha storyline was real cool at first, and i was diggin it, but then they rushed through it sooo quickly
One episode Alice was bawilng her eyes out and broken hearted willing to do anything to help tasha and literally 2 episodes later when she had her back, she was lookin at someone else??
it kinda made the whole storyline lose its power, and the whole character of alice seem even Flakier than she usually is.

Bette/Tina/Jodi - GREAT storyline LOVED IT, every second of it was fantastic, was anxious to see betta and tina back together for a while now, but i really dig Jodi's character too, so even while they were apart it was still fun to watch

Loved helena's comeback!
Adelle is a great villain! i thought it was a lil bit of a "single white female" rip off, but then they definitely made it their own in the end! and it was fun to hate adelle

the fact that jenny's movie was being made the whole season was brilliant too!

thought they picked a few very weak actresses to play the "actresses in les girls" if they had taken time to pick them out, and gotten more quality actresses it would have made the season that much more powerful. ...they were kinda like extras with too many lines.

Jenny...........she was UNBEARABLE this season!!! honestly i couldnt fathom the entire time i watched it why ANY Of her friends were still even speaking to her, she was a raging b*$&@ to everyone...and they all just acted like it was okay
then at the end they acted like she had never changed, never been rude or abusive to anybody and everyone was loving her still. it was really really strange and 1000% unbelievable...
i know females well enough to know we dont take that kinda attitude from another female for THAT long and never say a word? hahaha cmon now, there woulda been scratching and hair pulling long before the end of this season.....lol
I mean there's a difference between a slightly strange writer and raging power hungry tantrum throwing childish lil girl throwing fits
it was ridiculous to watch

They really need to find a REAL love interest for Shane......one that doesnt scream "another dysfunctional relationship" right from jump!
Carmen and Shane had soooo much incredible chemistry on screen, everything after carmen with shane seems very very weak.

The She-bar witches were fun to watch, and like i said Helena's return was EXCELLENT!
I wish Kit would become a lil stronger. in season 6

Alice became my LEAST favorite character this season
i thought she was pushy, self righteous, arrogant, childish and annoying
constantly acting like she was some kind of lesbian superhero with the right to "out" people and tell everyone's business online or on tv, breakin anyone and everyone's trust like it was her obligation.....she was exactly everything i hate about the media
used to dig alice, now i was tempted to fast fwd her scenes

Would have loved to see Papi this season
hopefully she does come back and brings a sexy sexy love interest for Tasha
who i think is a powerful actress and a great addition

anyway thats all for now
Hopefully i didnt break any rules by posting this
was sooo excited after watchin the season i had to tell SOMEONE!!! LOL

Take care
Portuguese Shane
Hi! Welcome to the Forum.

Alice - I agree with you about her attitude on the TV Show. It's so mean to out someone against her/his will. She was really stupid but about that basketball gay couple... I would do the same thing if I saw what Alice saw and heard when they were dancing and after. Like, you are gay and then when your asked about gay sexuality you answer that it's disgusting and that you hate gay people? I mean, you don't have to say that you're gay but you can't be a complete jerk! I loved her attitude about the gay basketball player but hated while she was at the TV Show.

Shane - Sharmen is by far the best relationship that Shane had. Though, we know that Carmen is not coming back, I mean is what the staff says. I think Molly and Shane aren't a good couple at all. I just don't like them together. Shenny may happen because at the end, Shane betrayed Jenny and Jenny was really hurt and I think it's a clue of what is going to happen during this upcoming season. Anyways, I loved what she said: "You have a problem with me, you @%&# with me, you don't @%&# with my friends" or something like that.

Helena - WOOOOHOOOO! She's back! I love her! She's one of my favourite characters, right after Shane and Alice. Great comeback.

Bette and Tina - They are meant to be together, so... Jodi please jump off and stay off. smile.gif I'm really happy that Tibette are getting along and better than ever.

Jenny - I kinda like the idea of Shenny. Anyways, her storyline with the actress (can't remember her name) was kinda... weird and interesting. It was interesting to see where would it lead to. I think despite all bad things that Jenny did, she did some good things too. We all know that her imagination is really fragile so sometimes she snaps. She fell in love and it made it worse. But let's be honest, if suddenly you were the director of the next HUGE movie about your life and friends you would snap. Like you can ask caviar and lobster and really have it. You can have everything and you are the boss there, so... you would act different and stuff. She should've changed the names of the characters but if the names would have been so different from the "real" characters it would be harder for us to understand who is who and stuff.

Adele - This girl was SO boring at the beggining but as she was earning Jenny's and Tina's trust, she was making more progress in her evil plan.

Max - Go Max! He was only worried about her friends and his discoveries are important to stop Adele but no one ever thought that the white nerdy girl could cause trouble instead of solving them. His storyline with Tom is awesome!

Tasha - I loved when she stood for her feelings for Alice, instead for her military job. Way to go Tash!

Kit - She needs something to make her "come out from the other characters' shades". I don't know... Like her own storyline maybe.

She-bar girls - Very interesting storyline. It really made me stick to the screen. The wrestling event was awesome! I think the blonde one should leave the brunette and be with Shane. Shane would keep the other one at a safe distance. The meeting between "our" girls and them was awesome, their negotiations were really good.

Phyllis - I hate her! :@ Since when Shane is an uneducated person? But she did have a point about Shane and her love affairs. Actually it made me cry what Phyllis said. If someone said that to me... I would be devastaded. :S

Jodi - Poor Jodi but she must go. Life goes on and Jodi will certainly find someone.

Tom - Unpredictable. I would never guess that Tom and Max would have something between them. But it worked out really well. Yay! Gay power! grin.gif
