Look what our resident SGA/Jason Momoa fan has uncovered for us.

Ian's reason for being in Vancouver.

Congrats Nadia for out-sleuthing our trusty Maja. applause.gif

Sure they can. Mhmm can't think of a good example now, besides the obvious ones (remakes, novel-adaptations)

Oh I was only referring to the website Faran linked to in her first post. In the interview there, Lexa Doig says: "I was working nights… on “Fireball” (title may be changed) with Ian Somerhalder"
That had me joking with me twin earlier that if they change the title, it'll be something with Lost since Ian seems to be unable to get away from Lost (Lost Samaritan, Lost City Raiders, ... )

This definitely has me a little nervous. I was actually thinking that it'd be okay - I like Sci-Fi - and the people involved are experienced with TV Sci-Fi - Andromeda/SGA.

Hehe - Lost Fireball - keepin' the streak alive.

imdb has a synopsis up for the movie:

QUOTE
Inspector Ava Williams investigates a prison fire to its source, a prisoner seeking revenge against those who put him behind bars.

Lexi Doig is supposed to play Ava Williams. There's no info on Ian's character.

This doesn't sound very SciFi to me???
old-man
was just checking last post(MAJA's) on this thread which implied(sp) that imdb had it in Ian's credits(?)..I don't remember it being there confused.gif ))

I just watched Fireball and should say it’s a good and well-done TV-movie. It’s much better that Lost Samaritan and Lost City Raider. I really enjoyed watching this film. In my opinion it has a nice cinematography and editing of high quality. Of cause, science aspect of plot is the craziest, but it stand out a mile. I was really flattered, when had seen purple stopper for test tubes, cause I have the same on my laboratory! Well, I have a strange reaction smile.gif
Ian plays stylish and awfully funny FBI agent, you’ll really like him wink.gif His first appearance is awesome. I totally like this character.

PS Phew, no sex and no kisses…
old-man
big thanks, TONY smile.gif think we all appreciate your positive opinion(or is it the purple stoppers?..smiles))..trailer did not look bad, and I like your description of 'stylish and funny', truth be known, I had a some-what similar impression..thanks

your description of 'stylish

Unfortunately, it isn't my - Lexa Doig's character said it smile.gif

Really? It makes me glad!

I just watched this too. Some parts of it were hilarious bad, and the premise was kind of hokey. When the first two people died, the close up on their faces, and the look on their faces, reminded me of Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, so I definitely LOL'd at those. And the car chase at the beginning? They were the only two vehicles on any of the roads! And the truck driver the guy stole the clothes from wasn't anywherre near his size, though the garments fit perfectly...

That being said, Ian was pure gold! Every scene he had with Alexa was fantastic. The dialogue they were given was very witty and when delivered by two such stellar actors it was tight and spot on. I'd almost forgotten how fantastic Ian can be when he's given such an excellent actor to play off of. I've liked Alexa ever since Andromeda - when she was in avatar mode she was so snidely snarky - just my thing.

I'd highly recommend this. [old-man EDIT}--> THANKS, FARAN!
old-man
a little BIRD we all know, alerted me with this--->
FIREBALL will have its USA TV premiere on the SCI FI Channel at 9 PM EST on May 3, 2009. <---(((-))) more on IMDB ...thanks, little BIRD smile.gif
Faran
You mean "SyFy" (Seriously, why'd they have to do that?? How ridiculous.) Sadly, I don't get that channel, in Canada our scifi channel is Space, any word on a Canadian air date? I'd love to PVR this for my unlimited viewing enjoyment. And by enjoyment, I really, really mean that. This movie is funn with two N's.
Ratty
I was at my friends apartment when the ad came on for this on Sci Fi but its not on the listing to be on in the TV Guide

I'm gonna be watching
old-man
RATTY, IMDB(USA-tv schedule) is stating MAY/03..9PM-EDST)) I found out years ago that the TV Guide is just 'not worth beans'--they are really not current with the weekly changes) I haven't looked at other sites, but feel rather certain that it will be this Sunday and on SciFi..which I do not even have)) incidentally, TV-Guide - so I read - does not post the listings for the CW channel, only stories of interest (?)..which, if tVD gets a green light, should make front cover smile.gif
Ratty
we get TV guides here like 4 days into the week so I dont even buy them I use Yahoo TV listing
Beckett
I had the opportunity to watch Fireball last night and I was pretty entertained. there was so good dialog and I enjoyed the way Ian delivered his lines. There were some GREAT facial expression that got his point across. I admit I am not the biggest Sci Fi fan so the story line was not my normal stuff but all in all entertaining. Must say the poor kid had to get tired of wearing that same suit and shirt!
old-man
lol.gif .BECKETT, that is what I was thinking and commenting on from halfway-to-finish: "They didn't spend a whole lot of money on 'wardrobe!" uhoh.gif )) even the jeans on ALEXA looked like they made it through the entire shoot.lol)) watched this baby at a Chinese American restaurant--no sound until only people, besides myself, left were the manager and the sweeper)) ;looked like is should have been entertaining..esp with sound smile.gif
Faran
QUOTE

That's really too bad, because the dialogue was both well written and well delivered.

QUOTE

Yeah, no kidding. The events in the movie took place over several days, yet he never changed his wardrobe. His character seemed kind of anal, so I wondered if he simply bought 6 of exactly the same thing.
Beckett
Robbie

i have to agree. I kept thinking he would show up in a pair of jeans and something casual at least maybe in the bowling alley but there was the same suit. It made me giggle a little bit. It was over all entertaining and the dialogue was pretty snappy. i enjoyed it. nice way to spend a sunday night.
MajaBee
I like Ian in a suit. grin.gif
Ratty
I tought FireBall was very well made and I enjoyed watching it I even taped it so I could watch it again.

my freinds next door to me really enjoyed it and want to let Ian know that they think he's a very good actor and look forward to seeing more movies with him in it
Faran
Here's another review of the film. The guy really didn't like it, but it's very, very snarky and funny in the way that my sense of humour appreciates.

QUOTE
He looks like an emo FBI agent.
