Sneak Peeks have yet to be released at this time.

Its odd we havent seen this oldest friend in all the years of the show don't ya think...especially if she is in the same profession.

Looking forward to seeing how Izzie is in this episode...
Isabel Anne Evans
I don't think we even had a reference to Sadie's character either lol.gif skep.gif. I'm mostly looking forward to meeting the new cardio doctor, and what is happening to Izzie's character the most nod.gif.

Sneak Peeks

Everyone meet Sadie

She's....um....definitely high-strung ain't she lol.

Chief, Bailey, Alex, and Izzie meet the next cardio doctor Dr. Dixon

Bailey, I would rather have "off" than Hahn anyday of the week LOL. Dixon is different, but she's softer. I like it, and Izzie is working on the cardio patient too nod.gif. This episode might help Izzie out a lot emotionally given what we read in the sides on Sunday.

As speculated this is going to be a tough episode for Owen.

Cool interview if anyone is interested in her character, and the Aspergers Syndrome Dixon has. Has another sneak peek of Alex, Bailey, and Dixon in the O.R. Izzie's not in the O.R. with them, so I guess the case became too much for her shrug.gif.

'Grey's Anatomy''s Newest Additions!

This week on "Grey's Anatomy," one of Meredith's (Ellen Pompeo) oldest friends joins the staff of Seattle Grace as an intern, throwing Mer's personal life into chaos because her bff Cristina (Sandra Oh) and her bf Derek (Patrick Dempsey) are less than thrilled with the new addition.

"She has never mentioned this woman. How good of a friend can she be?" questions Cristina, when Sadie (Melissa George) replaces her in Mer's bed. And Derek points out, "Good enough to get us both kicked out of bed."

George explains her character: "She lives on the edge-- just says what she thinks-- does what she feels."

And Chyler Leigh (Lexie) reveals, "She's supposedly a bisexual intern coming in to wreak havoc on Seattle Grace!"

Also scrubbing in will be Mary McDonnell, who is a new heart surgeon -- Dr. Virginia Dixon -- with a twist. She has Asperger's Syndrome (a form of autism), which, according to Chandra Wilson (Dr. Bailey), adds another dimension to all the other craziness taking place at Seattle Grace.

"Grey's Anatomy" airs Thursday nights at 9 p.m. on ABC.

At 1:37 you can see Izzie waiting in front of SGH just like in S3 "Sometimes a Fantasy". Here's where the Izzie stills come in nod.gif.

cant wait....new episode always fun smile.gif

I still think of Melissa George as Angel in Home and Away...which is probably not a good thing lol.gif I think that was the last thing I saw her in actually....probably 20 years ago! Showing my age now...as you all post that you weren't born wink.gif lol.gif
Isabel Anne Evans
I still remember her from Alias, so I don't think any better off lol.gif look.gif.

I'm posting the new promo here as well since Nov. sweeps promo, but it has scenes from 5.08 within it:

IDK WTF is going on with Izzie skep.gif. Whether it's all a dream, all in her guilt-ridden mind, or something is medically wrong with her, but I can't help but like it lol.gif. We have a shirtless Denny kissing Izzie in her bedroom thud.gif. I'm sorry, but as a big Dizzie fan that's a fan wish come true woohoo.gif. I can't help but love it to some degree lol.gif. This new kiss is freakin' hot drool.gif. Plus I love how Katherine delivers her lines in this promo.
TVR
I could do without the shirtless Denny lol.gif but looks like an interesting episode again for Izzie smile.gif

Chills. The Denny/Izzie scenes give me chills, but in a good way. Okay, in a sad way too.
JDM is so danged gorgeous and talented glow.gif
I'm totally lost on the Denny/Izzie storyline though. Is she ill? I'm just so confused. I like them together, but I'm so confused as to what is happening and where it is going.
Well I have an idea, and I don't like it, but still.

I really like Alex supporting Izzie.

MMcD character with Aspergers is great. I have taught students with Aspergers and she's doing a super job.

Bailey...always love Bailey.

I don't like the new chick that is friend's with Meredith.

I like the relationship that Mark and Callie have. He respects her and she respects him. Good friends that are there for one another.

'Little Sloan in Little Grey' lmao.gif

I was losing faith in GA, but the past few eps have definitely made me so glad I have stuck with it.
I didn't even buy the last season DVDs the eps were not 'must haves' for me.
But these past few eps have me already anticipating the next set of DVDs smile.gif

I hear ya nod.gif. Something is definitely wrong with Izzie because Denny is dead. I love that we are getting scenes that many of us wished for since season 2, but Denny seems to be a symptom of what is wrong with Izzie. Whether it's brain cancer, mental illness(why did her mom call all those psychics for), or something else. This part of the storyline I believe we are for the most part suppose to be confused. Since the reveal should happen shortly because it feels like Denny's last apperance(for the time being) could be next week's episode. That one quote from Josh Kelley in US Magazine was in fact a spoiler too lol.gif.

Katherine and Jeff were freakin' amazing in this episode, and I read in the L.A. Times that this is emmy-consideration material here grin.gif.

I really enjoyed Dixon, but I can't stand Sadie. She's annoying, and once again there was a big lack of George. Other than that I'm more involved in the Izzie storyline because this is very much unpredictable to a degree.

Here's Izzie's section from the writers' blog:
QUOTE
And then, of course, there’s Izzie. Who is clearly still connected to Denny, even beyond the grave…

Here’s what I’ll say about Denny.

I want you to take a moment, and just think for a second. About what you would do if someone you lost, who was unbelievably important to you, suddenly showed up in your room. Right now. While you’re sitting at your computer and reading this blog and suddenly feeling a chill on the back of your neck and hearing, from behind you, in a familiar voice: “Hi.” It’s someone – your lover, your parent, your grandparent, your best friend, your ex-fiancée… someone you thought was gone forever and suddenly now they are right there. Standing next to you. Asking you to talk to them, asking you to hold their hand.

Sure, at first you’d be scared and freaked out and seriously considering the possibility that you might very well be crazy… but in the next moment, what would you do? You have wished every day since that person left that you could see them, touch them, just one more time. What would you do?

I know what I’d do. I’d take my dead dad’s hand. And we’d sit there and stay up all night talking about all the things we never got a chance to talk about. And I wouldn’t care if he was dead or if I was crazy because it would be so great just to hear his voice again.

So, can you imagine, if you were Izzie, what you might do if Denny suddenly appeared to you? And after trying to ignore him, and trying to say goodbye to him, and even after BURNING his fricking sweater, he was STILL there…

All I’m saying is… maybe this is one connection that gets to defy all logic and common sense and, instead, maybe it just gets to be. Even if it does seem too good to be true.

From the nurse's blog about Izzie:
QUOTE
Izzie Stevens has lost it. I mean it. She’s gone. I caught her talking to herself today. Several times… just having a little conversation. I know that what happened to her with Hahn and the whole transplant gone wrong guy really affected her. How could it not? I mean, besides the massive guilt, she’s probably overwhelmed with Denny Duquette thoughts. She’s probably depressed and missing him again. I bet anything that’s why she’s talking to herself.

....Anyway, Izzie was in the gallery. Alone. And she was sitting there, holding a conversation with someone. It kind of freaked me out so I told Nurse Tyler at the end of the night. He told me that he saw Izzie saying “goodbye” to absolutely no one before leaving the hospital.

It’s like, she's on the verge of a nervous breakdown. How long can she continue to talk to the air before someone, like the Chief witnesses this behavior? I honestly feel bad for her. I mean, she’s had it tough here. I hope things get better for her because it looks like Izzie Stevens can’t take one more bad thing happening

Awww...poor Izzie sad.gif.

TVR
sad.gif

I really hope they don't make this too extreme for Izzie - into some deep and dark mental breakdown. She has always been a strong character and despite what has happened to her (her difficult childhood in the trailer park, giving her daughter up, Denny's death) she has always bounced back. I would find it hard to believe that she would suddenly just completely lose it.
Isabel Anne Evans
IDK, I can imagine it a bit because there is only so much tragedy one can take until one breaks. If it's not psychological, then there is always a good possibility that it's medical-related. Hopefully they don't take to long on revealing what's wrong with her because at this point it's so subjective-interpretative nod.gif.

weird episode... felt sad for Izzie....felt sad for Callie.....

It was weird, and that said I did love "Rise Up" a lot more nod.gif.

I think Mark and Callie's friendship is becoming very endearing since they are now getting away from their sex tysts.

De-topping thread to make for the next episode....

Podcast is up. I did listen to it myself, so these transcripts are legit. Anyways, I thought you guys would want to see them. and they touched upon "Rise Up" as well(credit: WindSprints}:

Seeing Denny again is kind of great. And, also kinda creepy. Re: Denny's clothes (if you watch the show carefully) - When he died he was wearing a hospital gown. When he came back to Meredith in S3 he was wearing black sweat pants and a tee shirt. This return, he asked to change his clothes. Shonda said no, he made a charmingly compelling argument for why he should be able to change his clothes. He pointed out to Shonda that he died in a hospital gown, so he's not walking around in the clothes he died in, obviously changed his clothes after Meredith drowned herself, where'd he get those clothes? He hugged Shonda when he asked so she let him change his clothes. He wouldn't have had to ask, just make Denny eyes at Shonda. She really wants to see Denny in formal wear. JDM is a lovely person, not Denny though. Loves his dog. Shonda is not stalking him, as you guys can report to the judges later.

Remember that for the holidaysm think about that for gift giving. The way Izzie imagining him or seeing him, whatever you believe, is magical. You could believe either one. She is clearly seeing him and it doesn't seem like anyone else is seeing him. From now on they will talk about it from Izzie's perspective because it makes it easier for Shonda not to sit and wonder what he is. The fact that Izzie sees him makes him real. Nobody else sees him, that's an issue. But she does. You start to feel like you're not sure - can he leave the hospital. The progression - the first episode he's just appearing and around. He's not speaking - what's going on? Maybe she's having visions or flashes of him in her head. Then at the end of the episode he speaks. Which Shonda loves. The next episode, he's speaking, he's with her and she's really trying to ignore him and find a way for him to go away. We don't see him outside the hospital until the very end, when he's in her bedroom, another step forward. After she burns his sweater. Incredibly moving that the patient sees that she sees the ghost and is trying to find an answer of why. The progression of Denny - seeing, talking, touching - you can only hope what else happens.

Next episode - In the Midnight Hour. Betsy loves this episode. The episode is so incredibly good and so incredibly haunting. All lot more there then meets the eye and everyone is going to get pushed. A lot happens, more then you'd ever expect. Crucial episode to watch in real time.

When they spoke the progression of Denny sounded very much like the progressive stages of hallucinations. If that is what the writers are going for shrug.gif.
Sollo
^^^ isnt that for spoilers ?smile.gif
Isabel Anne Evans
Not so much since the podcasts just have the writers talk about the viewpoint of the characters, storylines, and insight in the episodes that aired. The podcasts are more....hmm...hints of what is to come, but Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers hardly ever give things away.
