MerDer is now catching on to the oddness of Izzie's behavior. I was wondering if anyone would hear Izzie in her room lol.gif.

I cant wait for this episode!

Certainly going to be interesting. Katherine is doing some excellent work but I really hope the writers don't take this too far. It is in danger of becoming too much if they aren't careful with it.

Call me a cynic when it come to this show, but since S3 I tend to expect GA to get carried away with their storylines shrug.gif. That's Shonda Rhimes for ya lol.gif. Katherine always hits the acting out of the park thumbsup.gif, so that's what I tend to look forward to the most.

I'll be gosh darn I might have been right lol in regards to Izzie staying inside her room for the entire episode. Which matches perfectly to what she says in the CTV Promo nod.gif. Her room being her fantasy and outside of her room is reality.

I liked the episode nod.gif. More than I thought I would lol.gif. Katherine, Jeff Dean Morgan, and Justin Chambers are really doing great with the storyline. Of course as a viewer and semi-fan of the show I would have gone a different route, but I'm still enjoying it nod.gif. I'm glad Izzie chose reality over fantasy, but glad she was still able to get some of her fantasy fulfilled. Plus there was some great foreshadowing in there at the end. The end to me proved credence to my theory that Denny is here to strengthen A/I by giving Izzie solid closure, but granted this storyline should have happened two years earlier. Alas, it's GA writing so what can we expect shrug.gif lol.gif. Anyways, due to the end this triangle honestly can be a very positive thing for everyone involved, and normally triangles aren't designed that way.

Unless there is more to show I can see Denny being here to help Izzie to move on. One of the things I liked about the episode is that we were able to get more into Izzie's psychie about how she felt when Denny died. She has all this guilt about killing Denny, even though she technically didn't because Denny rejected the heart, and felt so alone because he "left her". It was great acting by Katherine, and while Alex seemed OOC to me in the beginning he got in character for sure at the end nod.gif. His defense of Izzie, and by extension Denny, is showing he is starting to understand more about Dizzie/LVAD. That said I still feel rewrites might be made, but who knows *shrugs*.

Some media sites believe it was Dizzie/Denny's return that brought up the ratings and/or demographics this week:

I came across this tonight, and thought it was pretty cool smile.gif:

Now I know some people have a real problem with the recurrence of Denny (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) on this show. But I'm invested in it, because he's clearly not going away and personally, I'd like to know why. I'm sure you'd all like to know why. And Izzie clearly wants to know why. Why he showed up, why he's continuing to insist everything is real, why she can hear his heart beating even though they took it out of his chest during the autopsy. It's strange and disturbing and I'm quite sure if there were dead people floating around my bedroom, I'd be a little on edge. But Katherine Heigl plays it wonderfully, and I'm not sure there's another actress on television right now who could make a dead ex-boyfriend so intriguing.

Definitely agree with that blog smile.gif Katie is doing a wonderful job.

It is just all so confusing for me. How is she doing it with a ghost?! I don't know, they want us to believe it's literal but I can't help but to think it's Izzie's fantasy. I just hope she's okay and not ill or anything. I really liked tonight's episode, can't wait to see what's next for us.

Since they haven't done the reveal yet I think the storyline is meant to be confusing for the time being nod.gif. We still don't know if Denny is a ghost or in Izzie's mind shrug.gif. I'm just as confused as you, and the theories are a long list lol.gif. We can speculate due to quotes from Shonda and the cast, but you never know until after seeing an episode. It's definitely the only storyline on GA that's keeping me on my toes. Plus the acting in this storyline from Katherine to Jeff to Justin is just outstanding nod.gif.

One progressive movement I was glad to see was hearing about Izzie's guilt, burden, and what she felt when Denny died(i.e. being left behind). I waited a long time to hear and see those feelings and emotions from Izzie, so it was nice to see some of her issues in regards to Denny's death being addressed. Katherine did an amazing job in conveying her character's inner turmoil nod.gif.
TVR
Yeah it is difficult to know what exactly is going on....but Katherine is doing an absolutely phenomenal job. Her performances over the past few weeks have been fantastic.
