Well, we know a "Galactica: 1980" is out of the question. I have often wondered how many other Colonial ships escaped the Colonies. Could be they find the new earth.. other than it being 150,000 years later.. unless someone wanted to do a time warp idea or perhaps they travel with no ftl drives.
there still are cylons out there somewhere. Did the Rebel Centurions get what they wanted? What about the Cavil faction?
Don't say "Galactica: 1980"
I do think they left it open. Remember they documented the location of the "tribal" settling points? Where did the last few raptors go?
And...to touch on what t-Asarlai and me have been bugging over a while...there had to be other survivors.
Moore could have a lot of fun with this sci-fi mythos. What if other legends /mythos in Earth history is linked to an ancient colonization? What if Avalon (Avalon is where the elves went during late middle ages and was cut off from Earth) was really a planet? And what if the elf and not-human-thing legends of europe are just bastardizations (or clever stories by interstellar interlopers) of the truth - meant to confuse people and hide the truth. They could just as easily have been from another planet and just visiting until they're work was done. In addition to the unexplained tech (and bursts of learning) of ancient history being influenced by ancient space humans, what if ancient space human travelers also explained all the weird creature mythos of history? Maybe they really were human, but through retelling after retelling things get exagerated?
I'm just babbling really about the possibilities. They could have a lot of fun with Earth history and mythos. We might be surprised.
