Why did it go up by 7 and does that include the FleshBots ... or why did it go down and does that mean they no longer include the Seven Fleshbots.?

You Will Know The Truth ...

As we get to the last episode, we will learn the truth little by little. cry.gif

I thought they gave us fistfulls of truth in the last episode.

Even though there was no way to reach that truth by watching any of the episodes that came before.

I've got the feeling that "all this has happened before, and will happen again" isn't strictly true. I think this is the last time it will happen, based upon Earth being a desolate nuked wasteland and the planet with the temple being destroyed (along with that part of the 'clues' to finding Earth). I think Cavil/John will see to that.

He is playing out his own agenda. The tainting of the 7th Cylon model, the boxing of the D'anna's, and (I'm guessing here) removing the memory containing the identities of the Final 5 from the other Cylon models as well as wiping the memories of the Final 5 and placing them in the Colonies.

Thats my guess, but I did watch it late and was half asleep at the time, so if I've missed anything obvious please point it out to me! shock.gif

I thought I heard a reference to the Cylon Homeworld (colonized by Centurions and skinjobs) and a reference to the "real 13th Colony " (scenes for next week).

Wow.

I have waited three years for Boomer to meet the cheif and Adama. Moore have play it down to a point it is nothing. This is why I'm not jumping all over this. When Dee out of nowhere blow her brain out, because she find a toy on the planet. It seem some characters are given a chance to develop over a long time, and other are treat as trash.

Didn't they say the colony Ellen went to, so I'm guessing colony would mean more than the abandoned lab on some remote rock, but would mean more people, people from the 13th tribe, or maybe thats the cylon homeworld too...

Well, now we Know The Truth of that but do or did we really "Know The Truth"

I am still digesting this last episode. I noticed several things about it that seem to be just a tad off.

But we still don't know what the Lords of Kobol were...

As for going native on Earth...what a whus.

Lee convinced them to except a savage, barbaric future.

Dumping the ships? Idiots.

The left behind more than ships. They left computers. Basic Metallurgy. Basic Mining. Basic everything. Fraking idiots.

Technology is good when used for the right things. Idiots. The ending annoys me more and more. Powerful, yes. Emotional, yes. But more and more annoying when I think about it. Hidden message? Sometimes we make decisions (or our ancestors make decisions) and we live with the consequences.

What about the other Cylons? The centurions that didn't rebel. And the skinjobs. Just how desperate will they get? I'm not convinced they're chapter is closed. I'm not even sure the Tigh/Anders/Helen/Chief/Tory cylons knew the full story.

I know. They had to end the series. I'm not convinced this was a happy ending. Yeah, there are some survivors. But to give up their tech? That's like cutting off your (important parts) and realizing - oh (frak) - i made a mistake!

I'm still digesting. And digesting. and digesting.

As soon as the emotional part wore off, I felt very unsatisfied. Can't figure it out, either.

Rationally, I know many of our ancestors have made choices they thought were the right choice at the time, but really weren't optimum.

I didn't even see people walking around with books. THEY GAVE UP BOOKS?

i'll calm down. someone give me some caffeine so I'll calm down.

I'm getting stoked about this. Must calm down.

Hmm...

At least we know the Ruined Earth is within 50 lyrs of Our Earth. Cause the constellations match too closely.

Just going through BSG detox.

I think there is a seed here for a spinoff, and i am not talking about 'Caprica'. I believe a series can be created with Earth in the future. The series could be constructed around The people of earth having to deal with the cylons who disappeared when the Colonials made earth their new home. I can see re-occuring roles for head Baltar and head Caprica six, as well as Starbuck. Perhaps when Cavil swallowed a bullet, he knew hew would not be gone for long...ie another copie was out there somewhere.

Well, we know a "Galactica: 1980" is out of the question. I have often wondered how many other Colonial ships escaped the Colonies. Could be they find the new earth.. other than it being 150,000 years later.. unless someone wanted to do a time warp idea or perhaps they travel with no ftl drives.

there still are cylons out there somewhere. Did the Rebel Centurions get what they wanted? What about the Cavil faction?

Don't say "Galactica: 1980"

I do think they left it open. Remember they documented the location of the "tribal" settling points? Where did the last few raptors go?

And...to touch on what t-Asarlai and me have been bugging over a while...there had to be other survivors.

Moore could have a lot of fun with this sci-fi mythos. What if other legends /mythos in Earth history is linked to an ancient colonization? What if Avalon (Avalon is where the elves went during late middle ages and was cut off from Earth) was really a planet? And what if the elf and not-human-thing legends of europe are just bastardizations (or clever stories by interstellar interlopers) of the truth - meant to confuse people and hide the truth. They could just as easily have been from another planet and just visiting until they're work was done. In addition to the unexplained tech (and bursts of learning) of ancient history being influenced by ancient space humans, what if ancient space human travelers also explained all the weird creature mythos of history? Maybe they really were human, but through retelling after retelling things get exagerated?

I'm just babbling really about the possibilities. They could have a lot of fun with Earth history and mythos. We might be surprised.
